Manila has lots of malls! Well with the sweltering heat outside, you gotta take advantage of the indoor aircon as much as possible.
Founded in 1673, Mitsukoshi is a Japanese department store chain. This is their first shopping center in the Philippines. The Yelp pin on this business page's map is way off, so use other apps if you're looking for accurate directions. It's located in the new financial district Bonifacio Global City (BGC), near 7th/8th Avenue and 36th Street. The exterior facade has a beautiful golden geometric hemp leaf pattern. There are four levels, but I believe only three were occupied when I visited.
B1 - The Itadaki Food Court, an upscale grocery store ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/mitsukoshi-fresh-taguig-2 ), restaurants, dessert shops, and snacks. Some of the more recognizable chains are CoCo Ichibanya, Potato Corner, Beard Papa's, Ben's Cookies, MOS Burger, BreadTalk, Gong Cha, Magnolia Bakery, and Mitsuyado Sei-men among many others.
1F - Beauty, fashion, and lifestyle. There's a Lexus showroom, a Nespresso boutique, a Shiseido cosmetics store, and a SEIKO brick-and-mortar. Popular cafe The Matcha Tokyo also has a location here. Will write a separate review for Key Coffee ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/key-coffee-taguig ).
2F - More dining and shopping! Daiso, Kinokuniya, % Arabica, Happy Lemon, Sen-Ryo (operated by Genki Sushi), Santouka, OWNDAYS, etc.
The towers above the mall are luxury condos.
I like the Japanese theming and eatery options! I wouldn't go here for actual shopping though, the retail selection is limited overall.
