Found this place and decided to give it a try! Great, friendly staff and reasonably priced options. I'd give 4 stars. Main reason for 4 stars, is that I really needed a veggie option after eating snacks all day so that was my one note. The food though was fresh and delicious! I'd go back!

I was warmly greeted as I walked in. It is not a large place but felt very warm and welcoming. I ordered a gyro plate to go and was told I could wait inside or out for my order to be ready. In less than 10 minutes I was walking out the door. I really appreciated that each of my food items was packed separately. Especially since I had a ways to go before I could eat. Because it was a long walk to where I was staying, my food was lukewarm when I finally got to eat. No fault of theirs obviously. In spite of that, it was amazing. The meat was super tender and so full of flavor. I was given a large container of tzaziki that was perfect with the meat. The fries were wrapped in aluminum foil and the portion was large. The cucumbers and tomatoes in the salad were fresh. I look forward to coming back and hope I can eat in the next time. I would highly recommend it. Rush in. You will be glad you did. And it is worth the walk.

I had the mixed grill and olives....perfectly cooked, seasoned and very large portions...so I needed a doggie bag to take home the rest. The dessert of ice cream/cake was also very yummy...the prices very reasonable considering the prime location, near the major sites/museums. There is a large selection of greek foods and take home products. The owner/staff are very friendly and professional, service fast, efficient with a beautiful view of the Amstel near the Hermitage museum and opera/ballet hall. This is a must visit in Amsterdam for Greek food lovers.

The gentleman told me to wait a couple minutes, as a smaller table was finishing up and he planned to seat me there. The servers spoke English very well and were charming. The kofta is a classic go-to. I thought mine was excellent, but just not quite hitting the mark that I've had in the past. Definitely the type of food that I would go back to multiple times, if time was infinite. Pleasant atmosphere (music, TVs, people not too loud), and a good amount of food. Prices have likely increased since the last time someone posted a menu picture. Mine was about €26 with a beer.

Made a reservation for Sunday night; while it wasn't super busy, I'd recommend making one just in case since it looked like only a couple tables were open. We ordered the babaganoush, the roasted mushrooms, and red lentil soup to start. Highly highly recommend the babaganoush. Note, it is not the typical blended eggplant, but chunkier. This doesn't sound super appealing, but trust me, this makes it so much better. Each bite has more flavor and texture this way. The soup and mushrooms were both great, but weren't standouts compared to the babaganoush. For our mains, we went with the sea bass and lamb chops. You might be able to tell from the photos, but the sea bass isn't how you typically have it in the states, where you get a slab of some fish. Instead, it's the whole fish so it's much smaller and it has EVERYTHING. I've had fish like this before so whatever, but I know there are people out there who are squeamish about having the fish head still on there with bones and stuff, so be warned! Though it'd be such a pity to let that stop you from trying it because it was amaaaaaazing. Lemon and mint seeped in every bite. They even stuffed it in the middle so the flavor wasn't just limited to the surface. The lamb was also perfectly cooked and mouthwateringly delicious. I read before coming here that Dutch people look down on eating with your hands. And I honestly tried to be sensitive forwards that. But omg it would've been a crime not to pick these up and gnaw on them like a friggin hyena. So I did #noregrets. Also care with a bunch of tasty sides - nom noms!! Didn't have enough room for dessert. Though something to note: not sure if it was bc it was a Sunday, but service wasn't particularly fast and we only got our mains at 910 pm after getting there at 745 pm. We didn't mind, but if you're in a rush, be aware. This might even be a Dutch thing; we were one of the last to arrive in our room, but we're on of the first to leave since basically everyone who got there before us were still sitting around and chatting long after we left. So...who knows! Anyway, it was super tasty and very affordable. Highly recommend!
