About as close to 5 stars as is mathematically possible. But not *quite* there. There were seats available on a Wednesday night at about 19:00. The gentleman told me to wait a couple minutes, as a smaller table was finishing up and he planned to seat me there. The servers spoke English very well and were charming. The kofta is a classic go-to. I thought mine was excellent, but just not quite hitting the mark that I've had in the past. Definitely the type of food that I would go back to multiple times, if time was infinite. Pleasant atmosphere (music, TVs, people not too loud), and a good amount of food. Prices have likely increased since the last time someone posted a menu picture. Mine was about €26 with a beer. read more

Dabka has plenty of tables set up along the canal if you're looking for an outdoor meal. We started with the Hummus and ordered bread that comes out as a thin pillow. Small, intimate location on one of the smaller streets. Easy to walk to. Friendly, attentive service with large servings of tasty food.

Food is outstanding! We came twice in a three day visit to Amsterdam because the food was so darn good. We loved the labna w the bread. The kebbe (better than anything we've had with Lebanese relatives in Usa). Their Lebanese red wine is actually quite good! And finally, the baklava was the best we've ever tasted. Not so sweet like those you can get in the usa but so darn delicious. Service is very excellent as well of course! read more

Amazing authentic Lebanese cuisine!!! Service staff was very friendly and everyone speaks English. Looks like a family owned restaurant. The smell of fresh pita bread makes your mouth water. So much flavor and tastes so fresh. We had the humus and pita to start with some meat appetizer. The meat combo definitely checked all the boxes. Definitely should try this gem in the heart of Amsterdam Central. Walking distance from the train station. A very authentic Lebanese restaurant that had a very local feel to it. Portions were huge and everything pleased us immensely. I had the #27 Kofka Meshwi/ grilled minced lamb skewers with onion and parsley for 18,80 euros and the boy had a mixed plate of meats. The meats were seasoned well and the pita was unique. All fresh ingredients with incredible taste. Staff was welcoming providing us with colorful menus which were descriptive with English details. An easy late night meal! read more

Hands down. Best Lebanese food. The baba ghanouj is to die for. Busy Amsterdam. They don't do reservations but the nice man at the door said, come back in 30 I'll have a table ready for you. We are so goad that we did. I ordered the most expensive meal and it surpassed everything I could think of. Lamb skewer, chicken cubes, lamb minced. I added those, the fries, the hummus, and garlic to the rice and made it into it's own bowl. If you are in Amsty.... Omg. Eat here. I'm truly impressed by the flavors. A Lebanese restaurant located in a nice part of Amsterdam. They have outdoor seating by the water, they have indoor seating as well. We wanted to try a couple things so we ordered the Meze platter, the fish and chips. My mom wanted to try some meat so she ordered the beef kofta. I'm probably totally getting the name wrong. This place is amazing. Great flavor in everything. The fish and chips is stellar and a must try. The meze platter is great to share and try a bit of everything. Friendly service and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The salad we ordered was spicy as described, and very fresh. I had a dinner there and the mixed kebobs grill were so dry and not seasoned properly. On top of that I could smell the meats as it had no seasoning. The lentil soup did not have any lentil in it-I was do disappointed: It was a hot bowl of water with turmeric. Total disafter for $40. read more

This was some of the best food I've come across on my travels throughout Europe! We started with the Mezza appetizer which was 6 different starters with a large pita! Each dip Was delicious. Then we were given out entrees, mine was a vegetarian platter and my friend got Kofta Entree which was also delightful! It was SO MUCH food... no skimping here :) the service was great and quick! I didn't think I was picky with Lebanese food but I guess I am. The stars are for the food. It was okay, pretty good, especially for a restaurant in such a hot spot. The falafel was definitely not up to par for any sort of Lebanese or Mediterranian restaurant I have visited, so I would not order that again. The people watching since we had an outdoor table was pretty great, and service was just okay. Can't say they were attentive at all but it was a Saturday night with a lot happening. I mean, the staff was smoking beside our table so it's not like they wouldn't have noticed us and our needs, but we still had to flag them down at times. read more

There are no so many Arabic restaurants in Amsterdam and so to have a Lebanese one which is considered the best cuisine in the Arabic world is quite unusual. I have been to Beirut on my travels and so I have some reference points on what this should taste like. I chose the Kofta Meshwi which unlike Turkish Kofta was a skewer of spiced lamb served with Lebanese salad and rice. The Lamb skewers were quite tender and tastefully spiced, but I could have done with a bit more heat for my palate. The rice was brilliant however with the little noodle pieces and chick peas, it was one of the tastiest things I have had as an accompaniment in a long time. The salad was refreshing to go alongside. It was pretty good. Inside the restaurant has a modern feel with dark wooden tables and chairs. There is bench seating along the side and back which looked a bit too low. The rest of the feel is exposed bricks and dominating the rear wall is a image of the Romain ruin of the temple of Bacchus, in Baalbek, with some dancers in front of it. I was the only person in there so the service was personal and the price for this with 2 soft drinks was 20 euros. read more
