If you are looking for an opthamologist in a convenient location with a very comfortable office and…read morea helpful receptionist, this is the place to go. However, if you don't want a doctor who is an arrogant, sadistic misogynist, take your eyes elsewhere. I was riding my bike and got something in my eye. I rubbed it and it seemed OK but later it started watering and was very red. I was able to get an appointment with Lieberman for the next day, by then my eye was half shut, it hurt a lot, and my vision was very blurry. Lieberman looked into it with a light for a moment, pushed his stool back from me, folded his arms across his chest and looked down at the floor. He didn't say a word and I started to panic so I asked him what was wrong with my eye. He said "Well, I don't know how to tell you this" and stopped. Then I was totally scared and asked him if my eye was damaged and I would lose sight. He looked up, gave a little smile, and told me the cornea was scratched, he would give me some eyedrops, I should keep my eye covered for a few days and it would be fine. I called my primary care doctor who had recommended him and told her assistant what happened and she said that other women had told her similar stories but not any men. My husband had used him a couple of times and never had a problem but will not be going there again either.

I have never written a review on Yelp before, but I went to see Dr. Lieberman for the first time…read moretoday and I really felt the need to offer a different perspective than some of the other posts here offered. I found him incredibly comfortable to talk with, and he was quick to answer my questions and explain anything I was unsure about - definitely professional. But he was also funny, and we joked throughout the appointment and frankly had quite an enjoyable time, considering I was there to have my eyes examined. I also don't understand the misogynist comment - I'm a woman and experienced nothing of the sort. Maybe if you're humorless and take yourself too seriously you'd be better off with another doctor, but I will recommend Dr. Lieberman to everyone I know and definitely go back there if I have any other eye issues.

I went to Dr. Sadeghi for a regular eye exam. In the past, I had mostly seen eye doctors that work…read moreout of eye glass shops but I felt that an ophthalmologist would do a more thorough exam. After the assistant took pictures of my eyes Dr. Sadeghi walked in. The whole eye exam took maybe 2 minutes. He asked to see my old glasses (the prescription was at least three years old) and after letting me look through maybe three lenses he wrote me a new prescription reassuring me that he saw all he needed to see and that this was my new prescription. I am all for avoiding costly exams and tests but I could not trust this very brief exam. Before spending money on new glasses I needed to make sure that this was a correct prescription. I went to an optometrist and it turned out that this prescription was way off. He diagnosed an astigmatism where there is none. No, I cannot recommend him. Thankfully, I did not spend $$$ on lenses that would not have worked for me.

I decided to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist in my insurance network instead of seeing…read morean optometrist at an eyeglasses store as I'd usually done. Had no idea the rate would be 5x that of an optometrist but figured I'd get a more thorough checkup. Instead, I was given 5 min by an assistant and 15 min with the doctor. He checked my vision, told me I should be seen again for a glaucoma test (a 10-min test that he refused to do during this visit), and then was annoyed when I asked questions about my glasses prescription. The experience was so bad that I now plan to see an optometrist for a second opinion against Mehyrar's scrip. I've never written a Yelp review but this was an extraordinary waste of $$ which I'd like to warn others about.

They told…read moreme it would be $20 for a DMV eye exam when i made the appointment, and only after the appointment was conducted did they tell me it was $50. Then, after they charged my credit card, told me that I didn't even need the service I just paid for because it could be done for free when iI went in person at the DMV. I ended up not being able to use the eye exam because the DMV had be read their chart instead, so I tried for a return, but the front of house guy immediately became defensive, angry and rude. He refused a refund but compromised on a store credit, but he knows I'm not coming back as a customer. If i'm being honest, the whole thing felt like a scam.
