If you are looking for an opthamologist in a convenient location with a very comfortable office and a helpful receptionist, this is the place to go. However, if you don't want a doctor who is an arrogant, sadistic misogynist, take your eyes elsewhere.
I was riding my bike and got something in my eye. I rubbed it and it seemed OK but later it started watering and was very red. I was able to get an appointment with Lieberman for the next day, by then my eye was half shut, it hurt a lot, and my vision was very blurry. Lieberman looked into it with a light for a moment, pushed his stool back from me, folded his arms across his chest and looked down at the floor. He didn't say a word and I started to panic so I asked him what was wrong with my eye. He said "Well, I don't know how to tell you this" and stopped. Then I was totally scared and asked him if my eye was damaged and I would lose sight. He looked up, gave a little smile, and told me the cornea was scratched, he would give me some eyedrops, I should keep my eye covered for a few days and it would be fine.
I called my primary care doctor who had recommended him and told her assistant what happened and she said that other women had told her similar stories but not any men. My husband had used him a couple of times and never had a problem but will not be going there again either. read more
