I'm a bit surprised by the negative reviews for Brooklyn Eye Center, as my experience was nothing…read moreshort of stellar. I had an appointment with Dr. Feig, and the entire experience was very pleasant. The location is spacious and clean; the waiting room is very large, so that there were no issues with social distancing. The people at the front desk were courteous and professional, and all COVID-related safety measures were being enforced: Everybody was wearing a mask, there were plexiglass screens on top of the front desk, and they were checking temperature. Since this was my first visit here, I had to fill the usual forms, but the wait time was overall very short, just a few minutes. I was then taken to one of the examination rooms where two technicians took basic measurements; both technicians were courteous and professional, and took time to explain exactly what they were measuring and why. I was then taken to another examination room, where I was seen first by Dr. Sally Chetrit, and then Dr. Robert Feig joined us a few minutes later. I liked how both doctors were friendly and professional, and took time to explain what happened, different options as far as treatment, lenses, pros and cons, etc... They answered all the questions I had very thoroughly, and at no point I felt that I was being rushed. Overall I was impressed. Everybody from the doctors, to the technicians, to the front desk personnel were very professional, very pleasant, and very thorough. My only complaint: Why did I not come to Brooklyn Eye Center sooner?!

When I picked up the glasses on February 12, I immediately experienced blurred vision, eye strain, and headaches. I told the staff in the store that the glasses did not feel right. I was told to take them home and try them over the weekend. The symptoms did not improve. The glasses continued to cause visual distortion and discomfort. On February 16, as instructed by customer service, I requested a refund. I was informed that they would only provide store credit and would not issue a refund. Because I was concerned about the reaction I was experiencing, I sought an independent comprehensive eye exam. The optometrist confirmed that I do not require prescription distance eyewear and that there is no clinical indication for full-time corrective lenses. Despite presenting this information, the store refused to refund the purchase. Additionally, I was charged $600 for frames that are currently retailing online for nearly $400 less. While retailers can set their own pricing, the lack of flexibility combined with the medical mismatch was concerning. At no point was I told that prescription eyewear was final sale. There were no visible signs in the store and nothing on my receipt stating that refunds were not permitted. I attempted to resolve this matter directly and reasonably before pursuing other options.

The WORST doctor office I have ever experience!…read more First, the staff scheduled the patients at 9am and the doctor strolls in at about 12pm with no care in the world. Then he makes you do 3 useless test at every appointment. But what got to me the most is that while he is checking your vision, he is also taking care of other patients business. On my first appointment, I waited about 2 hours, and rescheduled, thinking it was just that one bad day. But no! I came 3 more time. And it was the same experience. The staff is very helpful, but the doctor is absolutely horrible. After I put up with all the waiting and the unnecessary crap, the doctor had to fill out a form for me that he never got to. I waited 3 month for this note lol. I called the office every other day to inquire about my note but every time I was told that he will get back to me. Point of the story is that I never got my note Just the WORST DOCTOR EXPERIENCE of 2023

After filling out my paperwork and waiting 30 min after my appointment time, I told the receptionist I needed to pick up my baby from day care at 6 (after a 4:30 appointment). The two women working at reception said there was no way and that there were 4 people ahead of me. The doctor must be massively overbooking. The information his office provides to ZocDoc is essentially fraudulent. I called ZocDoc and recommended this office be removed from the site. The doctor might be a great doctor, but a doctor's office is a business, and this business is poorly run and disrespectful of its patients' time.
