Let me break down my few years of experience as thoroughly as I possibly can. Waiting area - Incredibly clean, comfortable and spacious, allowing patients to feel safe waiting for their appointment with enough space between them that you don't feel like you're on top of one another. They have a little fan, usb outlets to charge phones, water dispenser, and candies for little kiddies that may accompany their parents (or for adults with a sweet tooth :p). It's what an ideal waiting room should look like! Receptionist - a mixture of American born Chinese receptionists that speak mandarin, English, and Cantonese (possibly more dialects but I'm unsure). They are friendly and kind, welcoming patients as best as they can. No complaints whatsoever! Ophthalmologist assistants - quick, kind, and thorough with their examinations. They are friendly and welcoming as well, for you can see them all put their best efforts in assisting Dr. Lisa Law as much as they can! Dr. Lisa Law - a very sweet, thorough, friendly, kind, warm, and professional Ophthamologist who tries her very best to provide a comprehensive examination and diagnosis to help improve your quality of life. She is often running on overdrive and because she cares so much for each of her patients, she may appear a bit anxious and talk at a quick pace, but that's only because she wants to use as much of her valuable time on you as possible! She has an aura that really helps alleviate any anxiety that her patients often come into her office with; maybe she's encapsulating the anxiety so her patients doesn't have to :p I definitely would not choose any other Ophthamologist than Dr. Lisa Law and I hope you will at least give her a chance (: I'm sure you'll love her attitude, personality, and care as much as her many patients do! Thank you for reading and good luck! Your eyes are important to read more reviews!

Very disappointing experience…read more Before arriving, I called to inform the office that I would be running late and specifically asked if I would still be able to see the doctor. I was told that it would not be a problem. However, when I arrived, I was suddenly told that I would need to reschedule. No one contacted me in advance even though they were aware that I might be late. According to the hospital's appointment system, the visit is listed as 15 minutes. When I arrived, I was unexpectedly told that the appointment would take 2 hours, yet no one could clearly explain why. If the appointment actually requires two hours, it raises the question of why I could not be seen the same day after confirming my arrival. The 15-minute late policy does not seem to be applied consistently, and there appeared to be little effort to help or find a reasonable solution. While trying to understand the situation, I asked several polite questions but unfortunately did not receive clear answers. At one point I briefly took a photo of the area, making sure not to photograph any patients or front desk staff. I was then told that photography is not allowed due to a sign prohibiting it, however no such sign was visible anywhere. Overall, the experience felt very disorganized and unhelpful. I remained polite throughout the entire interaction and simply wanted clarification, but none was provided.

It is a shame that the excellent services provided by Weill Cornell Eye Associates has had someone like this on their staff. I am under the impression she has left the organization.

She answered every question and I could not have asked for a better representative to help guide me throughout this optical adventure. Dr. Koster effortlessly and humorously did the procedure, which was only 10 minutes time. I instantly had visible results. After a week of recovery, I could not be happier with the current state of my vision as it improves even more daily. Even the check up was a pleasent experience due to Sherri and the welcoming staff. By far one of the best decisions and best staff I could have ever hoped for. Life changing to say the least. Overall great experience, great environment, staff and I owe it an to Sherri and Dr. Koster.

TLDR: Hostile, unprofessional doctor who publicly berated patient. Potentially discriminatory…read morebehavior. AVOID. During a routine eye exam with Dr. Koster, I experienced concerning unprofessional behavior. When I mentioned having vision correction surgery 14 months prior in another country and asked about my current eye health, Dr. Koster immediately became dismissive, stating "you know, I don't do post op care for other people" and ended the appointment without answering any of my questions. By his logic, if his own patients move to another country, they would never be able to seek routine eye care from a local doctor. No surgeon, including himself I'm sure, provides post-op care indefinitely, especially for patients who relocate to a different country more than a year after their procedure. When I requested my exam results at the front desk (as none of my questions were answered), Dr. Koster followed me into the hallway and publicly berated me in front of staff and other patients, repeatedly yelling "WHY DID YOU GET SURGERY IN ANOTHER COUNTRY? WHY AREN'T YOU GOING TO THEM FOR FOLLOW UP? WHY DID YOU GET SURGERY IN A COUNTRY YOU DON'T LIVE IN? YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN SURGERY WHERE YOU LIVE." His aggressive behavior and elevated tone made me extremely uncomfortable, especially as I was simply seeking a routine eye exam as a new patient. The level of hostility in his response was so disproportionate that I found myself wondering if his reaction was influenced by my age, gender, or ethnicity. I attempted to address this incident by contacting the office manager, Nicole, who apologized and offered to refer me to another doctor in the practice. However, my primary concern was Dr. Koster's unprofessional conduct, for which I never received acknowledgment or apology despite my attempts to resolve the matter privately. The practice's phone lines are managed by a shared services call center, making it extremely difficult to reach them directly. I ultimately decided not to pursue the matter further, but patients should be aware that they may encounter extremely unprofessional treatment at this practice. Patients deserve respectful and professional medical care regardless of their medical history or where they previously received treatment.

Dr. Rudick is fairly laid back, which makes the procedure feel "routine", which is a good thing. I decided on PRK after researching the differences between the two procedures. Rudick said that my corneas were suitable for either procedure, but said that my concerns made sense regarding potential side effects and cosigned my decision. I scheduled my actual procedure the day after the consultation and they were able to accommodate me. The procedure itself took around 5-10 minutes. Aftercare is straight forward and he does give you his number in case you need to text questions on the weekend, which I did a couple of times. It's been a month and my vision has stabilized, post-op checkups have been hassle free. The only constructive feedback I have is the wait times are consistently 30 min past the appointment or so. I think this is acceptable since Rudick does not rush patients, but that is my only complaint. Just plan accordingly. All in all, I would 100% recommend Rudick and his team to anyone looking to achieve perfect vision and pretty much change their life.

However you will interact with him very little after the surgery and when I asked the other physicians they told me 80% had side effects post surgery. If anything the feedback I have heard about myself is that I'm too nice. So when one of their staff members yelled and hung up on me I was shocked. I called to speak with any doctor so they could know what their staff was doing and the doctors are not interested. They know exactly what's going on. If you make an appointment ask yourself 2 things: 1. why is there a security door that is completely opaque? I've never seen that in a doctor's office? 2. look carefully through the reviews and see if anyone else finds the staff "obnoxious" etc Getting the surgery is important but chances are you will have to return many times and I'm not that old.

On his rushed exit to the next patient, he mentioned some eye drops but didn't bother to write a prescription. (no time to waste) Not a nice experience. Of course I received a nice bill for the tests my insurance did not cover.
