I called the…read moreoffice at around 7:35 PM and spoke to someone named Ali; I frantically explained to her my symptoms and she was beyond calm, explaining that I could come in before 8PM and then be seen. Just her calm demeanor off the bat was able to put my worries to the side. I walked in at 7:45 PM, and if you work in any field where you deal with people and they walk in 15 minutes before closing you already hate them, the receptionist was super friendly, professional and beyond fast. She got me checked in and billed all in about a 10 minute span and I was called into the back by Ali, who turned out to be a medical assistant. She took my vitals and a comprehensive background, and I was seen by PA Simone right after that. Within 10 more minutes I was in X-RAY finishing up and getting my EKG, moments after, PA Simone came in and was giving me the breakdown and explained to me what she believed I was suffering from. She was extremely knowledgeable and broke down everything for me. I was out the door in no time and on my way. These women are such a good team, and really exemplified the healthcare professional ideology: super caring, professional and not showing one bit of concern for themselves staying well past closing to ensure I was feeling okay. Not once did I feel rushed out or pushed into a treatment that I didn't think made sense. The office was very clean and the exam rooms all the same.

I went in to confirm pregnancy via blood draw after getting several positive tests. I peed as soon as i got there because i just needed a blood draw for school, i did not expect to do a urine test. The medical assistant had trouble with my veins so they did a urine test. Keep in mind 1. I found out really early because I was tracking and 2. It was about 11 in the morning and urine was very diluted because i had to drink water for the urine test after peeing when I got there. The PA comes in and says "it's negative! You're not pregnant." It would have been nicer if he came in and said "it was negative, BUT i know you drank a lot of water in a short amount of time for the urine test so it may be diluted." He knew I was chugging water. He also went through pregnancy symptoms for me and seemed to be skeptical when I told him my breasts were not sore and I didnt have nausea. Because every woman experiences the same symptoms, of course! Long story short I go in to hear the heart beat in a week. Please get more female physicians/ PA's.

After she heard I wanted my refund for the check payable to Labcorp, she said an accountant will call me back which never happened. On Feb 20 when I called them again, their Bedford main number 781-275-0855 and 800-582-6248 became Verizon voice mail setup!!! I am thinking they went out of business but neither the man when I first called nor the lady I later called said anything about their business even though I asked "what is going on with this company". Here's the lowdown: this place houses a plethora of laboratories and diagnostic services. It has a large parking lot and is located on a main thoroughfare=convenient. There's a small cafe in the downstairs which is handy if you need coffee or a snack. The profiled water cooler, and nice accessible public restroom are lovely touches. My favorite part was the nice lady of the information counter who gave me directions to all of the above and told me where I was going, "adult services" upstairs. Not to be confused with " adolescent services" which is across the hall. I took an appointment here despite its distance from my home in dorchester because they had an appointment a month sooner than the more local boston branch of beth israel . Despite estimating over an hour for traveling 20 miles in rush hour, i still found that I was late. When i called to tell them that i was on my way but would be late, not only what is the phone answered by a real person on the second ring but she was quite nice to me about the fact that i was going to be late. I was seen as soon as i arrived. Throughout the procedure, which if you've ever had you know is quite uncomfortable ( this involves needles and electricity), i was treated in a professional, courteous, respectful and patient manner. Dr Raynor and her assistant both took time to explain what they were going to do before they did anything and verbalized just the right amount of reassurance and information. When somebody is stabling a needle into you and then transmitting electric current route to see whether your muscles work, it's very nice of them to tell you before they do it and when they're done. I will also add that the place was staffed by fashionable women with great hair. If it was closer to home i would have asked for a hairdresser recommendation but lexington is too far for me to go to get my hair cut.
