Stopped at Dads where 10 minute description of symptoms and they were able to pretty much guarantee that it wasn't transmission and likely something electrical going on. They gave me a few DIY checks for me to do and the next day I replaced my alternator for considerably less than $3000. Thumbs up to Dads Transmission! . I'm sure National does a good job rebuilding transmissions - but lets save that option till you need a rebuild.
