This is a chain of car washes. This one's in Modesto on Dale Road, and I frequently go here after leaving the gym. It's usually not too busy and the system is always the same. I recommend getting the membership just because it speeds up the process as it scans your sticker in your window. Sometimes the attendance will spray the windshield in the grill nicely and other times it's like a couple of squirts and that's it. I've been tempted to say no. Could you do a little more but that usually the car wash has begun. read more

Horrible customer service!!! I will never go back to this car wash! I have paid for memberships for a few of my cars, and yesterday I take my truck to get washed and the "self proclaimed boss" was such a hateful little girl. She wouldn't call her manager, wouldn't give me her name, wouldn't give me the managements number, and wouldn't refund my money. Like umm she needs to get terminated...seriously! This place is such a joke. 14 employees standing around doing nothing while every single vacuum is clogged and has very little suction. The tips of the vacuums are constantly falling off as well. Dryer is terrible when you pull out of the actual car wash. I am a member here and pay the $20 a month for unlimited. I come two-three times a week and it never fails. Our car was damaged on Saturday . The shift lead on duty was kind, but didn't take great pictures of the damage for her report. She told me the general manager would contact me on the following Monday or Tuesday. When the manager contacted me, she was rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. She wouldn't even let me get a word in during the call. She informed me that the damage documented "wasn't consistent with damage from a car wash." During the wash, we felt an obvious impact and rocking. After the wash, the bumper was nearly ripped off and a part of the wash equipment was sticking out from the car! This $26 car wash didn't even get the car clean, when I mentioned that on Saturday, I was told I could go back through the wash that damaged my car. Uh... no thanks. What a rip-off! After lots of follow up, I was finally able to contact a regional manager. They offered to fix the car and provide a free month of washes. Thankful that she took time to review the video and see that the damage was done in the carwash. read more

Just left this location. My membership sticker never works. They tell me it's the make of my vehicle. No one was there to scan me in. I tapped my horn for assistance. People were lined up behind me backing up. Very unsafe situation. I called the location for help. No answer. Finally someone came over and took their time checking in my car. I don't even know if this place could be considered a car wash at this point. My car isn't even clean and the vacuums are pretty useless. This place does not even presoaked or scrub vehicles, but they have the nerve to ask for a tip. What you pay for is definitely not worth what you are getting. After calling HQ 3 times for this same issue at multiple locations, over time, I'm finally leaving a public review. The top brush was down again today. I get out after going through, dirt streaks on horizontal surfaces and still bird poop. I go back through, I ask, "Do you know your top brush isn't working?" "Yes, we know." I said why aren't you telling people? We have no way to advertise that she says. I said you are standing here asking people for tips? If you want me to leave you a tip, tell me the wash I'm paying for is not even going to be half of the service I'm used to. We live in the valley, the dust is terrible, the top brush is 70% of the car wash service. She just looked at me and said you still got a wash. No simple, hey I'm sorry the service isn't as expected. Please go through again, we are hoping to have it fixed asap. She just kept saying, but you got a wash. I've been through the north McHenry Mister 2 times in the same week where the top brush was down, nothing from the attendant about it prior, but they still ask for a tip. How many hundreds or even thousands of cars went through that week and got a 30% service for their money? It's very shady business practice. It's equivalent to going to a steak dinner and getting your plate with baked potato and veggies but no steak, and the waiter doesn't even acknowledge that there is no steak. And then argues with you about it when you ask them, did you know there's no steak on the plate? And zero surprise on my part, all these Misters listed in Yelp have 1 star out of 5. Do yourself a favor and take the extra few minutes to go to Fast Track Car Wash on Oakdale road. Their vacuums are much better, they actually hand wash most of your car as you enter, then they dry it at the end, and they never ask for a tip which I offer ever time because they are so good. $10, same price as shady Mister. read more

I pay a membership and last week my entire side view mirror was scratched. I went in there and they filed a claim and said someone would call me today. Beware! The material they use to wash gets stuck in the headlights of your car/ truck. It happened to me last week. They told me to go to an auto body shop to get it removed because we could not remove it on our own. Mister agreed to pay but will take a month to get reimbursed. I went to this car wash on 2/27/2020 after I got off of work around 7:30 pm. Another co-worker recommended as they get unlimited washes for 20.00/month. Well, apparently, they had the old prime shine monthly membership because this place lists the price at basically 30.00/month (29.99). The price alone for their top wash is $18. Really? I reluctantly opted for the lesser $16, and I was informed by the attendant that I could go through a second time if needed I asked for a dash wipe and the response was, "sorry, we've been out of those since Sunday and I don't know if we will be getting anymore." Seriously! Wow! Well, it was dark out but after I got out of the wash, I could tell it didn't get clean. Took my car thru a second time, I could tell it still wasn't completely clean, windows still had some grime in them, but I needed to get home as I live out of Modesto. Once I arrived home, I saw much more on the body of the vehicle (back hatch, side mirrors, basically various areas around the full circumference of my vehicle. When this was Prime Shine, they also allowed you to go through again if the car wasn't clean, I never needed to go through more than twice and I BELIEVE the highest priced wash was 12.00. I did at one time have their unlimited monthly, but cancelled that during the rainy season, as I knew I'd not be using it. The cost for that was great, 19.99/month which imho was reasonable. In a nutshell, I was very disappointed at the quality I received for the price gouging amount I paid. I won't be coming back nor recommending such a rip off to family and friends. Giving this place one star is being overly generous as they deserve none. read more

The reason I don't recommend coming to this car wash is because there was a day in the weekend I was coming to wash my car with my unlimited membership when the sensor isn't reading my barcode so I decide to move up just a bit to see if it would read it then when all of sudden I hear a loud knocking on my window and it so happen to be a employee knowing on my window loudly as if I didn't have a membership she was working early in the day on a weekend and was short brown hair tied in a bun as always and possibly a headband she is one of the reasons I will be not be coming back to this location. Second when your paying for a membership I expect to have my windshield sprayed its only one specific Hispanic male who black hair that works in the mornings weekdays that decides spraying the car is to much if you think spraying a car and guiding a car in the tunnel and sending it is hard work find a new job. This location was not up to par like the others. We didn't get the bug spray for our windows and it's so bad and needed in the Central Valley. It didn't even seem like we got the premier wash we're paying extra for. We still had bug residue on our windows. I hope they do better next time we go. read more

Once the location changed over to new management they changed the car wash system and raised all the prices. The new car wash does not clean anywhere near as well as the old system did. Even after running my car through twice my car was still dirty. For the prices they charge I'd rather get a hand-wash somewhere else and it would be a perfect job. Personally I go to a fully automated drive-thru wash for value and convenience. Your higher prices remove the value and having to run the car thru multiple times removes the convenience. The car wash used to be good but after change in ownership it became just ok. I started having to spot wash areas that were missed. If that wasn't bad enough, today I went there and learned they raised their basic wash from $8 to $10, a 25% increase. I guess the cost of recycled water went up. Right. I have the unlimited wash so my experience has been the same at all locations. My truck tail gate does not get completely dry, so I always get out and dry it it. Plus I dry my windows and the top of the truck. I have used automatic car wash before and have never been to one where they are completely dry so not much difference here. The only complaint is the vacuum suction is supper weak so you have to vacuum slowly, but it does pick everything up. Also, if you have a tonneau cover I would avoid automatic washes. Take it to a hand wash car wash since the brushes don't wash it very well. read more

Today i purchased the Platinum wash which runs $18 The tire shine isnt operating today apparently from what the friendly staff Member told me. Tire shine is listed as a part of the advertised bundle you pay extra for to get Express Platinum, Express #1 & #2. There was no discount offered. My alternatives were either pay full price and still not receive Tire Shine or pay for an Express Wash which does not include Tire Shine, or much of any of the other extras you pay for with the other packages. Very disappointed. The last few times I got the cheapest wash, my car wasn't very clean after. That being said, this time, I chose the $16 wash and same disappointment. I don't expect a full detail or anything but for $16 dollars, I expect to not have to re-wash the dirt off my hood when i get home. That's just one example of the Poor wash I received. One Star = Generous Save your money-- this is such a downgrade from Prime Shine! If you do happen to have the extra $8, and 30 minutes, Vintage Car Wash will give you a far superior full-service wash and interior detail. Why did Prime Sine sell? This carwash took a nosedive since they took over from prime shine. The washes are inconsistent, my car always leaves water spots now and their machines tear up my front license plate every time I go threw, I even bought a rigid license plate frame and their machine broke it for the second time. I'm never going back, Vintage car wash is just down the street, they're a little bit higher priced but they do the best job or they redo it. I'll miss the convenience of prime shine but not going to waste my money there. Also Mister car wash? How does that name even make sense read more
