I bought a medium pressure system that could use water from a container and draw power from a portable solar-powered battery. We went to burning man and wanted a mister to reduce the heat. And it worked amazingly. in fact, just zip tying one nozzle to a rotating fan delivered a lot of comfort for a group of overheated folks. And the price was very reasonable. And their service was useful when I had questions about how many watts the unit needed. I also used the pump to pump water that was pooling in our tent structure during an unexpected rainfall. read more

Terrible customer service. Waiting for days for them to respond. Eventually they told me it wont fit and I can return it even though their website clearly states. Bought 12 replacement misting nozzles from this company and hand tightened them on the fans and three of them snapped off, nine were fine. Would not replace or refund me for the three at all. Instead blamed me for them snapping off. Mind you I bought an entire system from them, a complete initial set of nozzles, a second set for larger flow and then some replacements. Been a customer for years. No longer. All over three faulty nozzles probable costing them no more than $5 to replace but they cost me over $15 with shipping. I bought a 1500 PSI kit system from MistCooling. The kit consists of the pump, pump enclosure, stainless steel tubing, nylon tubing, misters, and tees, and assorted other parts. The company fabricates the pump enclosure by themselves, or with some local fabricator. This enclosure seems to be of a poorer quality than the rest of the components. It is not weatherproof, and I would not keep it out in the rain and sun. The internal electrical connections do not meet the requirements of continuous outdoor all-weather use. Before I bought the system, I emailed to ask them if the enclosure was weather resistant. There was no response. My mistake was to assume that it was weather resistant since the majority of uses would be for outdoor use. The rest of the components seem to be of better quality, since they just resell parts from other manufacturers. I have a system with ten nozzles. In operation, the pump was very noisy. I had to move it away about 60' to a place behind the corner of the house so that there was no direct path for the sound. This seems to have abated the problem greatly, but with the additional pain of having to do more electrical and water connections. When working, the nozzles do produce a fine mist, and no issues with the cooling capability. However, there is a design flaw in the system. The pump has a thermal cutoff switch, which shuts it off when the internal temperature of the pump gets too high. After I had used it continuously for about 30 minutes, it would shut off. The outdoor temperature at the time was only about 87F, and the pump was located in the shade. After the pump motor cools down, it would start again. This is not a well-designed system, since it cannot operate continuously when you need it most during hot weather. There is no cooling fan in the enclosure to keep the motor cool during operation. I did a phone call to them leaving a voice mail about the overheating motor. He finally returned the call and claimed it was "normal" to shut off automatically like I was experiencing!. (Even at relatively low temperatures). Then he suggested two solutions: (1). Have an additional mister right by the pump to cool it down. (2). Buy a motor speed controller from them for $120, (for a special favor, they would discount me for $60), and operate the motor at a slower speed. Both solutions were ridiculous. Their enclosure is not weather resistant, and using a mister near it will result in moisture pulled into it will compromise the cheap wire nuts they used to assemble the system. Putting a speed controller on the motor is not acceptable either, since it would reduce the capacity of the system that I bought. In the end I bought a 120volt 120x120mm muffin fan (similar to ones used in computers) from Amazon, cut a big circular hole in the enclosure, and mounted the fan and wired it into the system. The fan costs about $15.00. This seems to have solved the chronic heating problem. But the enclosure is still not weather resistant, and I have to make sure it is covered properly when it is raining. read more

I purchased the mid-pressure 250 psi pump system from this company. First of all, this product will only work as a mid-pressure pump about 65% of the time, then the pump will shut off and only allow the water to flow through at the pressure of your water tank while the pump "cools down" and it cycles back on again. And this is in 85 degree temperatures. It would work even less in hotter temps. They tell you this is normal AFTER you make your purchase, and you cannot return it for that reason because that is considered "working properly". Nowhere in the product description does it tell you that the mid pressure will only work 65% of the time. Imagine buying a car that only works 65% of the time, and the other 35% you have to push it. Funny how that would be unacceptable, but the pump is "working properly". Also, I had this system for one season, winterized it inside as I'm supposed to, and the pump completely went out a week into the second summer season. I had to mail it in at my expense and they replaced the pump after a whole month of the summer was wasted. Now I am at the end of my third season, and 2 months out of warranty, and guess what went out again... yep, the pump. So if you want this to work 65% of the time for one season before you put it in the garbage (and bear in mind, I use this about twice a month for about 3 months of the year), then this product is for you. During this whole two years, it is almost impossible to get anyone to call you back regarding any customer service issues. There is 1 guy who is responsible, Basheel, and he is absolutely unresponsive and completely defensive about his product. Anything that is wrong with it is normal, except a complete pump failure. For example, I emailed and left a voicemail three weeks ago. No one ever responded. I called again yesterday and spoke to sales (which is of no help) and was told that Basheel would call me back today, but of course, he did not. I had to call them 2 hours after he was supposed to call me. And this was after contacting them THREE weeks ago about this! And apparently it is acceptable for the pump to go out every year, so you buy new ones every year yourself after the warranty expires. Whatever you do, stay away from this guy, and this company. There are misting products out there that actually work. Find one of them. How they are still in business baffles me. read more

We love our Mist Cooling System!! We live in the Palm Springs area and when it is 120 degrees outside, our misting system really does the job! The system is very quiet and it really has made a difference on our patio. It was very easy to install and having the filter pump system keeps the water flowing. Needed the unit overnight for install the next morning. The sales rep graciously obtained permission to ship it for $200.00 The kit did not arrive until late afternoon. Overall the product is good. The mist is fine and fog like. The misters worked. Had to change out just a couple of them. The installation instructions were a fuzzy copy that was not easy to read. After install, the unit was found to be very noisy, and vibrates a great deal. There were no "How to" videos on the web site or on you tube. Following the instructions from another "stainless steel high pressure system" video, we cut the tube length to size at the corners as we could not reach anyone by phone at 8:00 a.m., and it didn't work. We ended up using plastic tubing instead. Having/suggesting precut tubing in various lengths for the corners (maybe 6" and 1') included would be a great benefit. No screws were included with the clips to anchor the tubing to the patio. It is not clear which replacement filter is needed for the system installed. We assume a 5" size. I live in Tucson Arizona. It gets over 100 degrees in the summer. I purchased a high pressure outdoor mist system from Mist Cooling. The system works well but the amount of noise from the pump is so high that you have to move the pump system far from the seating area. Recently, Mist Cooling, Inc. advertised a WEMO controlled I phone outdoor controller. The cost of their unit is $249.00. The unit is a Belken WEMO WIFI AC Power switch that costs $45.95 at Best Buy. The unit is rated ONLY for indoor usage thus, the Mist Cooling Ad is very misleading since they claim that the unit is used to control the outdoor misting system. I tried to return the unit but, buyer beware, they require a 25% restocking fee. Also, due to the noise produced by the pump, the unit must be placed far from the misting area. Since the controller requires a strong WIFI connection, the unit will not operate if placed too far from your router without purchasing more network hardware. Also, since the unit is an INDOOR unit, usage OUTDOORS may create electrical problems. Thus, the unit should be plugged into a GFI circuit. Since Mist Cooling is claiming that their controller is for an Outdoor Misting System, they should have built an enclosure to insure proper OUTDOOR operation along with appropriate WIFI extenders to insure proper operation. The customer service is very poor with respect to the controller. Mist Cooling representatives are promoting an INDOOR unit for use OUTDOORS. read more

Helpful staff, delivered on time. But the 1500psi pump is very noisy - even with a wooden enclosure. I plan to add sound insulation and perhaps build a second layer enclosure. The T fittings for the nozzles make it difficult to keep the connecting tubing fully seated and prevent dripping - and very difficult to remove the tubing from the T fittings. The instructions make no mention of the water filter (but easy enough to figure out) or what I think may be a drain fitting. But the fine mist produced is great for cooling (although a warm breeze can shift the cooling pretty far from where it was expected). And a lesson for others who may want to suspend the nozzles from a cable between posts: if you use turnbuckles to adjust the cable, they are likely to come apart with the vibration from the pump that is transmitted down the water line. So use a tie or other mechanism to prevent them from turning, or use loops of cable instead. read more

Buyers beware - My HP misting system came to me with a faulty tube holder. After chasing them down for several days they agreed to send me the part which did work. However, I then discovered that the pump is Very, Very Loud. In addition several of the nozzels did not work properly & the T's would not release the tubes. After chasing them for 5 days they responded by telling me they would nto be under warrenty even though they are new. Poor expesnsive products & even poorer customer service. read more

I can only comment on the high pressure 1500 psi 30 nozzle system we purchased. While the materials seem to be good quality the pump is excessively loud. The engineer for the company says this is normal. The website says the pump is quiet but we cannot place the pump on our patio as we had planned since we would not be able to have normal conversations over the noise. We now have to place the pump in a remote location and pay to have a hose bib and an electrical outlet installed. Had we known this pump would be so loud we would never have purchased this sytem. read more

Works great for my 10 X 20 patio gazebo. Drops temperatures about 20 degrees on hot days.

They have good products but poor customer service. My pump was delivered broken and not only would they not reimburse me in anyway for my time, they would not even consider giving me in store credit for the $10 brass fitting I had to buy to fix the pump. You would think that when you spend $6000 with a company and save them hundreds of dollars in shipping by not returning the pump, they might be a little more considerate. In addition to the broken pump, they convinced me that I should go with 3/8" feeder line and then sent the pump with a 1/4" connector adding more work and money for me to fix. The pump was supposed to come with a remote control but that was missing as well. I guess we will see if I get that any time soon. 11/25/14 I had to update my rating. Even though I am still a little irritated by the initial interaction with them everything else has been top rate. They sent the remote and when I order items they have it here in 2 days. The pump is fantastic. I can running 100 nozzles or as few as 40 nozzles. I would give them a 5 if not for the first interaction. read more

My experience was the same as many on here. I was using the 1000 psi pump in my greenhouse and it began to cycle on and off when the ambient temperature began to rise, not a good thing as I'm trying to cool my plants. My first phone call to them was fielded by a young lady who suggested that I put a fan on the pump enclosure to keep it cool enough to keep it from thermal cycling. I suspect she was reprimanded after "admitting" that the pumps don't perform well in higher temperatures, which would be pointless. I got Basheel on the phone and he agreed to test the pump after I shipped it back at my expense. "No problems with my unit" said Basheel. Given my background in mechanical and electrical component troubleshooting focusing on root cause analysis, I questioned his methods. I asked if he thought that the warped (from heat) plastic panels on the enclosure didn't make him think that there was an issue with overheating. He didn't think so and certainly couldn't explain how they did it! I suggested they did nothing more than repackage my pump and sent it back to me. His belligerence grew from there. Even better is that when I opened the enclosure (at risk voiding my warranty), the motor identification "plate" was a piece of paper glued to the motor case (not to code) with mostly handwritten information on it. It didn't contain the required information nor did it show any type of electrical certification, a violation of electrical equipment sold in the U.S. Avoid these products! i purchased two 1500 PSI misting systems from them. Both units failed in less than 2 months. They used a swivel type right angle fitting on the high pressure side. In both units this connector came apart. Spent a week trying to get someone there to send me replacement parts. They never answer the customer support line only accept messages which seem to never get returned. Ditto for the emails. Finally located some fittings elsewhere to repair the units. This gave me a chance to actually look at the quality of the manufacturing. All mounting panels etc. where spot drilled and attached in place. No panel will go back except in the exact same place with the same orientation. Otherwise all the holes would be way off. The inside connections are covered with pieces of vinyl electricians tape. For a manufactured unit this seems a shoddy way of protecting electrical connections. The pump machining looks adequate but is definitely no frills. The low pressure connectors supplied for the inline input water filter are the least expensive you can get. Operation of the system is simple enough fairly intuitive. Doesn't appear to be any operating maintenance other than changing the input water filter. The units are quite loud. Of the two identical units one is tolerable within 20 feet of a conversation. The other is much louder and unsuitable to be used within 50 feet of any conversation. All in all I am very disappointed with my purchase. read more
