Worst clinic I've ever been to they don't care about your needs as a patient seems like they are only there for a paycheck

My first pick, for sure. A family member has been here for nearly one month due to an illness requiring the level of care provided at a skilled nursing facility (SNF). I've visited at least 5 to 6 days weekly. Every visit I am more and more confident/pleased with the level of care and cleanliness here. You enter the bright/light building and are warmly welcomed/greeted; currently there's fun, festive decor through out. The holiday decor is a great addition, nice touch to bring some holiday cheer. There's a beautiful library/room for residents/guests, not quite complete, but nearly ready/renovated. The entire property is slowly being updated and renovated and it shows. It is evident that there are a lot of changes taking place here (literally and figuratively). The property has been maintained pretty well, considering. All of the staff from the LVNs, nurses, therapists (OT, ST, PT) and so on have been extremely helpful and provide the type/quality of care to match. My family member is always treated with respect and dignity, no complaints expressed. There are daily activities (often enriching), a gym, and the food menu is quite extensive. The meals have been described as both "nutritious and tasty." The dinner menu offers a month of varied meals; without repeating a meal! They even asked if there are items my family member doesn't particularly like. Some additional things I've observed, the staff is able to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively. The staff has been attentive and responsive; exceptional round-the-clock care, truly. There's a large, private parking lot, so parking isn't an issue here. Additionally, there are policies and procedures to protect residents' possessions. They take a thorough inventory of personal belongings and provide plenty of storage space for the belongings. Things haven't disappeared here. A BIG shout out to Tine and Wendy, so kind and caring. They truly are exceptionally hard working, so empathetic, and patient. Escondido Post Acute Rehab offers a high-quality skilled nursing program. One of the best SNFs around! The administrator, Daniel D. is empathic and eager/open to feedback. Thank you for being open, ensuring quality care, managing staff, complying with regulations, all things! I am happy my family member is here during all of these great changes, wish we had discovered this rehab five facilities sooner!

I had read the reviews before being transported…read morehere so already I was skeptical, but my case manager said there wasn't another option based on age (I'm in my 20s) and I'm sure my insurance. Good things: PT Team was great! Was able to get me walking again after only a week of being there! Sarah and Melanie were always so patient with me and listened to what I needed. Marsia my nurse was the best thing about this place! She advocated for me and pushed for me to go back to the hospital when I was having complications from my medications and the doctors didn't want to do Jack! Okay things: Most of the CNAs were nice. The younger ones tend to be the nice while the older ones can get impatient and short with you. But don't rely on a quick response, 30 minutes to respond to a call light! Bad things: No one checks on you! You have to request to have your sheets changed. Doctors only show up once a week when they want to to check on patients and you can't request any medical needs like labs till they are there! And even then they are likely not to do anything! If Pat comes into ur room when you have a call light on don't even bother asking her for anything, she won't do Jack and and say you can do it yourself even when you literally can't. Even if you get sick right in front of her she can't be bothered to help. Make sure you take your shower when you're told to otherwise you'll be thrown under the bus! To top it all off food is crap and give you like 15 minutes to eat and if you're not done then they will just leave your tray till the next meal time. Rooms are also very small and no real privacy! If you have other options choose another place, but if this place is your only option good luck to you. This place needs a lot of improvement!

I was told by Jenny that Records Department Manger had only been employed a week this location and wasn't there today. I requested for Administration to give me a return call. At this time Jenny told me Records Manager was in meeting all day and couldn't return my call. This is ridiculous and so unprofessional. The family is desperately requesting records for their loved one. This is requarding a precious like that was lost and facility is displaying NO concern or consideration for the family. Is this the type of facility you would trust your loved one at?? Think twice!!!

I can say without hesitation that Nora, Harmony Grove Recovery, and the entire team there saved my life. When I first arrived, I was barely hanging on. My family brought me to Harmony Grove Recovery, but I continued to resist the process. Eventually, I was asked to leave because my behavior was disrupting the peace and progress of others. That was my lowest point--and the turning point. I called Nora for help, and without hesitation, everyone at Harmony Grove welcomed me back with compassion and understanding. I feared judgment, but I never experienced anything except genuine support. The team was truly excited to see that I was finally ready to recover, and they guided me every step of the way. Even after completing Inpatient and Outpatient treatment over a year ago, Nora has continued to be there for me. She has supported me through countless challenges, including a difficult family court situation. After seven months of not being able to see my daughter, Nora played a pivotal role in helping me reconnect with her. Yesterday, I saw my daughter again, and I wish everyone at Harmony Grove Recovery could have witnessed that moment. It was a direct result of the work they helped me do to rebuild my life. Today, I am a present and loving father, son, and friend again. For that, I owe Nora and everyone at Harmony Grove Recovery my deepest gratitude. Thank you for giving me my life back.

During his stay, his leg was never elevated and he was always laying flat on his back. They took him in a wheel chair naked to weigh him in the activity room where other residents were and he had no privacy. He said people would scream at night "get me out of here!". He was doing okay the first few days but after that he was a heavily sedated on pain meds. They were giving him pain meds every 4 hours plus a sleeping pill at night. He was on so much pain medication that he forgot how to use his phone. He wasn't making any sense and stopped eating. He even lost his dentures. The nurses will Leave you sitting in a bed full of urine all day before they change the sheets. They don't clean you up well and tear the skin when wiping you. My father ended up being discharged back to the hospital because he developed double pneumonia plus and intestinal disorder called ileus (which was most likely caused by the opioids). My father passed away a few days later at Palomar Hospital and I believe this rehab contributed to his death. Please do not send you loved ones here. They are short staffed, the place is a dump and your loved one deserves better.

People yelling and screaming often throughout the day and night. Impossible to nap or sleep at night. Get woke up multiple times per night. 2 people share a room divided by a curtain and also share a bathroom not only with themselves but also with the adjoining room. So 4 people share 1 bathroom. That alone is a nightmare especially when you have the opposite gender using the same bathroom as you. Service is horrible. Don't expect anything immediate. It usually takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes for a nurse to come in and help. By the time you get your pain meds, they don't work because the pain is too much! They also take forever to help clean you up. My family member has sat in their own mess on many occasions waiting to be cleaned up for over 30 minutes. And on some days when I've gone in, they were not cleaned all the way and still had soil on them and on the bedding. Very dissatisfied with the quality of care. Most the staff I believe are there just for the paycheck and not for the patient. The food is also horrible. Warm things are cold and cold things are warm. Seen toast that was not ever in a toaster, cheese never melted, wrong items all the time and always missing food items. I don't think the kitchen staff read the meal tickets. Not many options either especially if you're on a special diet. Food items loaded with sugar, fat, calories. Meals are more like horrible school cafeteria food . When visiting, when you walk in, you are hit with the most atrocious smell of I guess deodorizer?? It's very strong and overwhelming! But once you walk past a few residents in wheelchairs and smell urine and stool, you realize why they use the strong perfume smell. Parking is another issue. Not many available spaces and only 1 handicap that I saw. Roads to get there are in very bad condition as well. Lots of uneven asphalt and pot holes everywhere!! Definitely drive slow! In short, I do not recommend this place!
