Hope I can tip the 50-50 scale on the reviews of Jeff and Mission Group. We were able to refinance our house a year ago but wanted to take advantage of even lower rates. We contacted our broker and began the refinance process all over again. All was well until "Jeff" showed up. Having witnessed our house being appraised just 10 months earlier, I was able to compare apples to apples. Jeff was the apple with the worm in it. He used only his iPad and electronics. Did not take notes. Missed an entire bathroom (Recently Remodeled) and hurried out the door to get to two more appointments he had to complete. The "Other Guy," well, Jeff made him look like those apples that you give as gifts and cost $20. He physically measured with a tape and asked to see our Blue Prints. Took notes of the 35,000 pounds of steel cages and the 28 cement trucks to pour the foundation and did not miss a detail. As Jeff left, I emailed my broker and mentioned that Misssion Group just sent an idiot! I knew before the appraisal was complete that it was going to be incomplete. Jeff even admitted that his handyman skills were not so good. He said, "I can"t even hang a picture on the wall." According to Jeff, our value dropped over $75,000 in a market that showed our neighborhood to have increased 4% in the last 12 months. Luckily our broker was able to work with the clearer heads of her company and they were able to realize the "True Value" of our property. This process took over two weeks to achieve. Please, read the other "Poor Jeff" reviews. When I read them, all I could picture was the "Bad Apple." Worm included. Jeff and Mission Group should not be respected in appraising homes. I'm sure he got a few homes right but in this buisiness, you need skills and professional talents. My appraisal skills at placing a value on this company are easy, (Jeff = F). read more
