The hotel is advertised as a historic landmark and seems charming at first glance, but within the…read morefirst few hours, left me disappointed and I wished I had booked something else. However, it got a bit better later, mainly because the manager was really great with the way she handled matters. I would give the place a 2 starts and her attitude and work ethic a solid 4.5 starts. Overall this averages out to 3.5 stars. First the disappointment part: In my opinion this is not worth the price it definitely left a lot to be desired in terms of quality of rooms. Our 2 room suite had broken furniture in the living room, bathroom and the sliding door between the room was broken. The bathroom window curtain rod was broken and actually came apart and fell down while I was showering with rusty nails falling in tub. There was no walk-in shower which might be okay but the tub was also not cleaned well and a bit rundown. For people traveling with kids or lot of luggage, please be aware there is no concierge service/bell boy or carts, there is also no way to disembark from the car with luggage before parking. Parking is a walk away, so be prepared to walk with luggage. There is a valet service which will help out at extra cost. The room service ends at 9pm. On the first day, the customer service was not good. We got more "No" than "Yes" from the front desk but the customer service improved next day and the hotel manager was really great (Henrietta) which made up for the first day and drove me to give it a 3 star review). We requested a roll over extra bed/mattress. I don't have a comparison of the quality of this in other hotels but the bed we received was like a hospital bed and very uncomfortable to sleep in. The suite faced the front road so lots of traffic sounds and road sounds through the night. The redeeming part: The hotel manager was super helpful and understanding when we expressed our concerns. She saved the day for us, upgrading us to a bigger suite for the next night. While we ended up having some issues there as well, she was sincere enough to remit us one night's stay due to all the issues. Note that the suite we were upgraded to was historic and beautiful. If you like the haunted history associated with this hotel, this would be the suite to book. We did not experience any spooky stuff but the charm and age of the walls and the medieval castle feel was enchanting enough. The suite was surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains. It was lovely. Overall, beautiful, historic place with charm and a bit of intrigue but I don't think the pricing per night is a reasonable fit for the quality of the rooms and services offered. The rooms could use renovation and modernization without impacting the historic quality and architectural elements. Better staff training to ensure all staff are courteous and passionate about customer service, better upkeep/maintenance, pest and insect control and longer hours of room service /dining would be great. Great manager, thank you Henrietta for your professionalism and service, your attitude and saved the trip for us.

The hotel is exquisite! I can already see a marked improvement since change of ownership. The staff…read morewas friendly and helpful in a executive way. Exactly the kind of service one would expect from a world class historic destination. Leah at the check-in desk was professional and personable. I would return to the Mission Inn again and again just to receive the care and perfessional service Leah provides. Mission Inn is better because of her. Chris G.

I tired their new automated bar feature but the dispensers serve mostly foam. The room was the most disappointing experience. Stained carpet, dirty room, filthy shower, a cracker-jack repair jobs. The pool water was gray and cloudy, and the patio area just not tended to. The follow up email from management was just a cookie cutter standard template. Probably not their fault, a lot of these properties are not owned by Hilton but by cheap foreign companies with low budgets and high expectations. Stay away from this location.

There were stains and trash in multiple spots from other guests, when I tried to use the phone to call the front desk I found that the phone did not work because of a broken cord, sweet. I went down to the front desk to report my problems, as I left my room my door would not latch shut. At the front desk they were apologetic and offered to switch my room in the morning, as it was close to midnight. I was advised to send my photos and videos to the front desk email, which I did. Inside looks new and clean. Lobby is spacious and has plenty of places to sit and relax. The patio is nice and has a grill, the pool looked clean. We did not go in, too windy. Elevators ran a little slow. Breakfast was buffet style eggs (various ways) meat and potatoes. There was also a waffle station, oatmeal station and toast. Fresh fruits and yogurts available. There was coffee and hot water available. This hotel shares a small parking garage with the neighboring hotel home2suites. Short walking distance to Fox Performing Arts Center.

The hotel is super clean and maintained with a pool, and a wonderful staff. It also offers a decent free breakfast with a variety of self serve options. Our room had a full sofa bed, coffee maker, safe, and a refrigerator. Housekeeping staff needs to be aware of bath towels as we had none in our room but we had hand towels. Our sink was draining real slow creating a mess after it drained. My 2 concerns can be corrected with minor undertakings but nevertheless these issues should have been addressed by the hotel. You must pay a nightly fee for parking, but it is a well secured parking area worth every cent. The rooms are comfy and well furnished. I highly recommend this particular affordable Hyatt brand.

When we reached our room, we noticed how poorly noise proofed it was, whenever a truck or loud car drove by, the room became particularly loud, which did not help with sleeping. The room itself was also somewhat dated. When we went to bed, I was looking forward to sleeping in, but unfortunately this did not happen. The fan in the room turned on at roughly 5:20am, and it was probably around 65 decibels. Needless to say, I was awoken. The breakfast selection was also not great, with not many kid friendly options, and cold coffee. The only reason this hotel did not receive 1 star, is all the staff we interacted with were very polite, and made us feel welcome, even if the customer service was not the best. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you are in the area, and I will not be returning.

Friendly staff thats there's 24/7, our room was a nice size with a mini fridge & working AC. Parking is free and wifi is here. We saw people use the pool so they enjoyed it. There's walkable restaurants and one thats opened late so that's nice ! VERY clean I checked thoroughly!! The inside of the room was super nice and I like that they have a two seater side table with chairs. Only thing I wish they had a microwave & ice bucket. They do have an ice machine but you have to bring your own container from home (we used a red solo cup) I would definitely stay here again !

But it's probably good that they did that because other locations of America's Best were pretty icky the last I noticed. THIS LOCATION was ALWAYS by far the BEST in their lineup. And it's still GREAT. It's different. The rooms are smaller but it's still always been one of my favorite hotels. The BEDS ARE AWESOME and the BEDDING is AWESOME. They double sheet with a comforter in the middle. These beds are simple luxury and the pillows are great & the towels are soft. The only downside is none of the rooms have bathtubs if that's important. Yup they have waffles and a little more for breakfast but don't come for the breakfast, come for the BEDS! Location wise it's an easy walk to the Mission Inn so you can stay here and enjoy all the fun at the Mission Inn. Take the TOURS there. The whole downtown area has really improved over the years. Lots of nice looking restaurants etc and this hotel is an easy walk to it all. Do NOT miss Tio's Tacos and try to visit when it's daylight. If you find this review helpful please vote!

The room is filthy, there's hair in the tub that definitely looks like it needs a good bleach scrubbing too. The floor is tore up and also dirty. The bed is okay, not super comfortable but still probably the cleanest thing in this room. We do have a window, and outside is a broken down wall with a ton on trash and filth outside. The curtains have cigarette burns and a possible blood stain. The door to the bathroom doesn't latch and looks like it was busted into. And the couch is broken and at a slant. Also roach infestation! The room is probably the best part of this place. Outside is tons of homeless and druggies. I watched one vomit in front of reception and the poor cleaning lady had to chase him away with a mop and clean it up. Also, the reception is a window that a movie theater or fast food restaurant would have. You don't go inside. Sketchy. However the lady who helped me check in was very nice and the staff I have met so far has been rather helpful and friendly. Can't say the same for the people staying here. The people in the room next to us loudly fight and have a dog that barks loudly. Only reason I am giving 2 stars is because friendly staff and the free coffee is decent. But don't stay here if you have a choice.
