Cute little unique cafe with surrounding old antiques and trinkets around you as you eat. Menu is sparse with mostly a tea shop teas and sandwiches and soup selection. Enough for a basic easy style lunch. I did hear later the chicken salad is what to order it's good. But we did not get that on our visit. Service was okay, not the fastest- a sit and chat type laid back place it seemed. The one girl working all tables seemed to do the best she could to keep up with all tables. I would have liked to see more of a variety of tea room items on the menu-items like cupcakes, tea cakes, cookies, more variety of coffees and teas. But they keep it very simple! read more

If you are looking for one of the best side salads in the state, this is your place. If you are looking for one of the most well noted and savory poppyseed dressings in the state, this is your place to eat. The local tea restaurant does a uniquely beautiful job at selecting some incredibly appropriate music playlist. The classical Ballad for Adeline was on queue and on repeat. Wouldn't want it any other way. Moving on to the drinks, the fruit tea is the best move. You just can't go wrong. My first move was the ice tea, however, i quickly realized what a mistake I made. The food is great! The service is awesome! Being able to shop for vintage items is always a treat! We love this place for a girl's lunch!!

Adorable spot for a lite lunch. Service and food were great but I was freezing. I got tea and soup. The table was wobbly and the chairs were hard to scoot in so anytime my 2 year old moved the soup and tea would spill. Other than that minor issue, it was lovely and will definitely be back, just probably without kids. read more

Located a block off the square, this tea room has an antique store connected. Perfect for lunch, the menu was small, affordable, and well thought out. Each meal was under $6. No table or place setting was the same. It was an eclectic, shabby chic style but well presented. The staff was friendly, efficient, and makes me want to visit them again. Just visited Miss Marenda's Tea Room last week, and it was fabulous! I had a cup of pasta salad - to die for, half a club sandwich, and fruit tea. The pasta salad was great - def going back for more of it. The service was friendly and efficient, and the ambiance was delightful. This place truly does make Sparta look good. Was in Sparta for an afternoon and checked Yelp to find someplace simple and good. Reviews here were nice and the setting was just my style. I stopped by and found that I was hours too late for lunch, that they closed at 2pm. As I stood at the front door just looking over the menu for future reference a woman came and unlocked the door and asked me if I was hungry, that she'd be glad to make me some food! Her name was Brenda, she was the owner and while I looked through some of the antiques in the attached shop she made me a yummy chicken salad sandwich on thick cut, soft homemade bread and a serving of pasta salad with some fruit tea to go. It was delicious and she was so incredibly accommodating!! I told her I read about her tea room on Yelp and she said. "Honey, I don't know what that is, I'm a Grandma!" She made me feel as welcome as my own Grandmother would have, and I will be returning with some of my girlfriends soon. Thank you, Brenda!! read more
