Great coffee. Did not expect this, but stopped for gas in Sparta on the way from metro-Atlanta to central KY. The wife found this highly-rated coffee shop and it was only 1.5 miles out of the way. Worth it. Excellent coffee. We did not try the pastries, and parking was a bit confusing, but the coffee was great. Between the four of us: daily brew, black; cafe au lait; 2 different lattes. Everyone liked what they had. 6 hours later I'm feeling the caffeine still from the daily brew, so caffeine content could be high. Service was quick and friendly. Nice decor and nicely lit. Fairly full, but not loud. I got 10 cents off my coffee for knowing the answer to the day's trivia question. That was kinda fun. We make this trip yearly around Christmas; I expect we'll be back here. read more

Great breakfast sandwich, I had the smoked salmon on croissant. Lady who took the order was polite and friendly. I had a cold brew with cream. Not the best I've had but not far behind. Cold brew is a delicate operation. You need the right beans with the right roast, low acidity, and proper brewing method, so it's hard to get perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to get either the sandwich or the brew again. Inside is just what a cafe should be: Great place to sip some tea or coffee, talk with fellow Spartans, and tackle a few chapters in a book. This place is everything I want to see in a coffee shop. Great location in Sparta town square. Ambiance is classy yet cozy. Not your stereotypical country town coffee shop. For a second, my mind escaped to a trendy coffee shop in Los Angeles (which I'm missing terribly). Let's talk coffee. Hazelnut Latté was picture perfect and the flavor was out of this world! Not too sweet and I could taste the actually coffee bean! I ordered a plain black coffee of the day for my father, he loved it! We also ordered a Ruben sandwich served on marbled rye bread and a Turkey panini on sourdough. Nicely portioned and we ate every bite! Our bill total was around $26, zero complaints & worth every penny. I will definitely be back and suggest if you're in the area, stop in & relax for a spell. Really impressed! Popped in here real quick to see what they had for non-coffee items (not a coffee fan personally). So, if you are looking for some food, this would be a good choice, they had a nice menu of sandwich type stuff and based on the other reviews - sounds like they are really good. Now, back to the drinks, they had some 'blended' drinks one was the cookies and cream and the other was the chocolate chip mint. So, they don't have any dairy in them, but through a combination of flavors and blended ice they come up with a pretty close to a shake like consistency flavored drink that is really quite good!! The staff were all really friendly and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant itself has some nice casual seating downstairs, and a small loft area upstairs serves as overflow seating. A little bit of merch, as any coffee house goes they have some of their signature flavors available. Also, they have some pretty cool t-shirts (my wife really liked one of them - so we grabbed one). My Gran and I stopped in to get some breakfast for our trip to West Virginia to visit some family and we were not disappointed in the slightest. Upon walking in we saw the beautiful decor of the place, very homey and comfortable. The menu is not short of options to say the least, there were so many choices for drinks; lattes, frappes, mochas, etc. There was also many options for food choices such as breakfast options; bagels, acia bowls, croissants, biscuits, avocado toast, and so much more! I thought the question of the day I believe was very unique and creative. There was a special board of the day with breakfast choices and drinks. I went with the Cinnamon Roll and a Turtle Mocha. Very glad I went with what I did because they were both so delicious. I really enjoyed the cream cheese frosting on the Cinnamon Roll. My Gran went with the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant and the Berry White Mocha. Her choices were also very tasty as well! The Croissant was very flakey and brown, the eggs were so so delicious (I could eat the eggs plain and I am no egg person), and the Bacon was cooked perfectly and chewy! The Mocha had the perfect amount of Berry while stile giving the perfect amount of White Mocha. The prices were pretty fair for what we got. The food was delicious and the drinks were very tasty! I would recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to try this place. I hope we come into this town again for us to come back! Fantastic spot in adorable downtown Sparta, TN. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and salmon. I was able to add onions and capers which made for an exquisite brunch. We were in town to visit a friend and stopped in here to wait and we're shocked by how fabulous it was both in atmosphere and taste. A lovely spot! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and could give us insights into a few of their drinks and food items. I had a sandwich to go and enjoyed a small lavender latte which was the right balance of lavender and coffee taste. The decor was reminiscent of a European spot and had enough seating for multiple groups. We loved the small comfy chairs with a view of the street as we could see quite a bit and felt like we were in the flow of the comings and going's. If you are in town I would highly recommend stopping in to check out their options. Plus if you buy a shirt they have a wall where you can take your photo with their brand around the world and they will post it. Instant fame! read more

Even though I only had coffee here I was very impressed with this adorable spot. My friend and I were in search of starting the morning off right before heading off to hike. So Yelp found me this shining gem. Parking was free and easy to access. The inside is simplistic with a woodsy, somewhat rustic feel to it which I liked. They have tables and comfy love seats and an upstairs that you can see the floor and patrons clearly from above like an attic which I liked too. My friend and I chose the pour over (which unfortunately only comes in one size). The 3 young ladies working behind the counter were sweet and gave us the options of roasts (that were not stated on the wall). They have Columbian, Ethiopian, and Guatemalan which we opted for the Guatemalan. This was a memorable pour over as it was soo smooth. Reason for 5 stars is not only how amazing our cups of joe were but I found the prices for not only this one ($2.25) but everything else was cheap! Local spots like this I usually see pour overs for $4 and up. Also, I really loved how they not only have organic agave available but have access to it at the cream and sugar bar. For food they have breakfast sandwiches such as egg and cheese in a croissant or bagel or muffins. They had a menu at the counter where you order but that is all I remember. read more

We are staying at an AirBNB in the area and picked this place because we like to try small, local businesses. We loved it. The atmosphere is cozy, and coffee delicious. We ordered a variety of sandwiches to share. I only order a grilled cheese if I think it's really going to be good, and this one (chose wheat berry bread) didn't disappoint. Salad was a real salad, with mixed greens. The House (club) was very good. The Rachel (like a Reuben, but with turkey) was everyone's favorite. I had the first veggie and my son had the house sandwich both were very tasty. It's nice to see historic buildings persevered but having a new purpose. They have restored it beautifully. I was really upset to pop in here one hour from close to find this place completely empty! This place is absolutely huge and has so much charm. There are three floors! There's even a baby grand piano in the front. The lighting is extremely calming; The perfect place for your girls meet up, a study sesh or work meeting. I hope this lack of visitors isn't always the case and it was just a fluke in timing. But seriously, we need to support local businesses and it's not like there's a whole lot to do in very small towns....let's show up and support!
