I did not really do a design but she put chrome as requested on my toes for a Hailey-Bierber-glazed-donut look for my feet and it was perfect. For the pedicure, you get a sugar scrub and short massage around your feet and ankles, which feels nice and Van is very gentle. She also was able to remove my callus (I forgot to remind her about it but she did it so smoothly anyway!) :) Although I did not do a manicure with her today, I am excited to try as she can do pretty much any nail art design you want. We set an appointment for a design I want next month and I will update with more for the review then! From what I have seen with her design displays and discussing what could be done for my next design, it seems like she has it all down. Extensions: she can do a variety from gel-x tips to free form builder gel using a sculpting paper form (this takes longer but it is my favorite method as it looks more natural and not too many people do this anymore). She is willing and able to do the latter so I am excited to have that done. The first time I had to wait a half hour because of some altercation in front of the salon that took up her time and caused her to fall behind. Okay, things happen. I wasn't happy in that it would have been nice to have had a text or something to let me know I could do something other than sit and wait. But since I was a new client I let it go. The third time I went I had to wait over a half hour because she was running behind on a client who WASN'T EVEN IN THE SALON. He had gone out on some errand, maybe to move his car, I don't know. But there I was, on time, and I had to wait for this guy to come back so that his manicure could proceed. That really lost me. So, in two visits, I lost an hour waiting for her. Kristi has a no-refund deposit policy and her schedule makes it almost impossible to reschedule. I know her time is valuable, but so is mine. Had she offered a discount or something the second time that would have gone a long way in telling me she understood that my time had been wasted. And if I had been a half hour late twice, I doubt seriously she would have waited for me. Again, her work was nice.
