This time I got a Gel-X set with the shade Bubble Bath, and my nail tech was Jesse. He was great throughout the entire appointment, checking in during the process to make sure I liked the shape and length before moving forward, which I really appreciated. A year ago I mentioned in my review that the fills didn't work out well for me, so I stopped doing fills altogether and now just remove the Gel-X and get a fresh set each time. Since switching to that routine, I've loved the results. The quality has been consistently great and the whole service usually takes about an hour, which feels efficient without feeling rushed. My nails always come out clean, polished, and exactly what I asked for. Overall, it's been a really positive experience and I'll definitely keep coming back.

Back in September, I came in to get my wedding nails done. Susan did my toes, but another nail tech worked on my hands. I don't remember her name, but I explained that I have shorter, wider fingers, and I immediately noticed she was applying very small nail tips. I mentioned my concern before she continued, but she dismissed it and assured me she knew what she was doing. Once the acrylic was applied, it became obvious to everyone that the tips were far too small. I was then sent to another tech to try to fix them. They did the best they could, but because the original tips were too small to begin with, the final result still wasn't what I had hoped for, especially for my wedding nails. After that experience, I honestly started questioning whether the 30-minute drive was still worth it. A few months later, my friend and I decided to come back for birthday pedicures because I really did want to see Susan again. However, once my pedicure was finished and Susan stepped away, my friend's nail tech, Rena, told me to put my socks and shoes on and get up to leave, even though my friend's nails were still being done. It made both of us feel rushed, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. I've always loved coming here, which is why these experiences have been so disappointing. Sadly, it's made me reconsider whether I'll be returning in the future.

I was assigned to Lynn T for a full set with french tips. Lynn was very patient and good a recommending what would look best. I'm very peculiar about my french tips. I don't like a pink looking base and she got ot just right. I would definitely be back for my fills and to try other services.

This salon is capable…read moreof absolutely beautiful work, and in the past my nails have closely matched the reference photos. However, because I was the last appointment of the day at 5:30, the service felt rushed this time. I brought in a reference photo, and while the general color palette was similar, the final result did not closely match the inspiration. The marble effect looked more uneven and muddled than the soft, blended look shown in the reference, and the gold accents felt less intentional. Given that this salon is capable of detailed nail art, this result was disappointing. Also, the cuticles were not pushed back or trimmed, which made the nails look grown out immediately. The photos provided were taken the same day, yet the set already looks a week old. The space itself is beautiful, with luxury pedicure chairs and white marble throughout. Unfortunately, the pedicure experience did not match the setting. The massage portion consisted mainly of lotion being applied to my shins, and the callus remover was applied and then immediately rinsed off in the water. The actual removal took only about five to six seconds. While I do not have heavy calluses, the exfoliation was not done thoroughly or in the right areas, and there is still noticeable buildup. I really want to love this place and continue coming back, as their nail art quality can be excellent. That said, I may need to find a salon that either charges more for more detailed pedicure services or offers later appointments to avoid feeling rushed.

I went in for a classic pedicure and asked for her to file my nails and change the color, that's it! The technician was nice so I feel bad leaving this review, but the way she removed the gel from my toes was awful! She filed it down, put acetone and let it sit for a bit. Then she proceeded to peel off the old gel and tore the corner of my nail OFF. She then proceeded to say I had thin nails! I've been getting gel pedicures for a while now and NEVER has anyone tore a piece of my nail OFF! As a technician, even if my nail was thin she could of used a machine to remove the gel instead of tearing it off the way she did. I was so upset! She tried to tell me she would add a piece, which I declined so I just told her to cut what she could without leaving my nail too short. I will never return here. Maybe some folks like this method of removal but I did not and will not be returning for a pedicure. I will add the chairs were comfortable and I also got a gel manicure which he added so many layers too! There was one lady too that came by and was just talking to the technician who did my nails and the vibe just felt uncomfortable! I will never return!

The owner/tech agreed, but told me to return in 30 mins. She asked me to leave my number and she'd call when they were ready. When she called at 6:39, the same guests from earlier were still inside. She started the water for me, then continued to work on the other two guests. I was waiting in a foot bath from 6:40 to 7:10 before my pedi actually started. Had she been honest about the hour long wait, I could've made an informed decision to wait or visit a different salon. My polish came out fine; however, the space and equipment didn't feel clean, which was especially concerning because she CUT ME TWICE. One was deep enough to draw blood. During our small talk, I learned that this location has been around for 15 years, and it seemed like nothing had been updated since. Walls, floors, chairs, and towels all looked dull and tired, not exactly inspiring confidence in their services. After underestimating the wait time by 30 mins and being rough enough to cut me twice, she asked for a tip THREE times. When I simply paid the $47 + $1 card fee, she immediately looked at the receipt and said, verbatim, "wait, no tip?" Kim's Nails & Spa lacks even a modicum of cleanliness, gentleness, or etiquette. It's not even about the money, but if it were, there's plenty of other salons where $47 will get you a clean space and a nail tech that doesn't cut you or aggressively solicit tips. What was supposed to be a relaxing pedicure turned into a painful, stressful experience.
