(I personally would rate this place four, so with only few reviews I'm giving it five to give it the boost it needs to meet four on its public profile)
I'm going to start with the elephant in the room; that extra "o". Some of their literature is "oo", and some single, macar*oo*n is the coconutty treat, macar*o*n is what miss macaroon makes, it's a common misconception, and a mistake that's filled many recipe books and menus, and despite this, the macarons here are delightful.
I bought them as little treats for family members, flavoured with 53% dark that stops so much of the sweetness, chocolate orange, rhubarb and custard, eggnog, earl grey and pistachio. All lovely, but my favourite was a sample of a sadly sold out flavour, the blueberry and white chocolate, which was unbelievably gorgeous, and a pretty pale indigo.
You can buy bagged individuals, or multiple boxes, that often have some good deals on.
They reinvest their profits into helping long term unemployed youngsters, macaron printing in an hour, and two macarons and a glass of prosecco for £8, so what's not to love!
If anyone wants to super get on the right side of me, a box of the white chocolate and blueberry printed withrude words would be right up my street. read more
