Looks amazing and posh-like from outside. So I knew things were different in this new place. There wasn't a line when went there and had few of our friends inside waiting for us at a table. Biggest change I noticed was space and the staff. There are lots of staff inside and all in uniform. Interior design is pretty sleek. It's hard to believe this place is in Ladypool Road. Should be somewhere in city centre or broad street because many people should try this place. You'd think there would be lack of customers but walking out in the end there was a huge line outside. The previous place was popular and many people were suggesting a bigger place, but from what I saw they might need even bigger place. They're extending the back to add more capacity to this place. Still in development, so soon would hold more people. Obviously Heavenly Desserts are good at what they do and quite popular. I just ate before coming here and didn't want go for big dessert or waffle (the regular I get). Got crepe which comes with strawberries, scoop of vannila ice cream and strawberry sauce. I figured crepe would be light and small, how wrong I was. Was biggest crepe I had. Anyways It was delicious and place was buzzing. Everyone seemed to be having great time with their friends. It does get a little noisy but we sat in a big group section so it's to be expected. The two main staff (manager and assitant I think) were amazing and polite. The assitant manager was polite when showing people to their seats and as we were leaving, he was outside talking to the kids who were in line with their parents. That's awesome, and the whole experience from stepping in to the end was amazing. So gets 5 Stars from me. Try get yourself down here sometime. They do variety of deserts. The menu book is big....like Lord of the Rings big. Note: if you going with a group, call a day or 2 early to avoid waiting in line.

The desserts are a mixture of freshly made on site, ready prepared shipped in from the larger company and bought to sell. The range and choice is fantastically huge with lots of options, just what you want in a dessert shop. My only gripe is that on the soda floats menu they don't offer the one and only original with root beer (not alcoholic), when they do it will be dessert shop perfection for me outside of London. On our last visit my son was able to take home, that which he couldn't consume from over indulgence.

Staff need to be trained to be more polite and friendly. She was more interested in chatting to her work colleague than serving us. Quite a few things to choose from.In the end I decided on waffles with chocolate ice cream and sauce, couldn't remember the actually name . It was sooo good actually can't fault any of the desert. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

It was mediocre and chewy just not very nice. Out of all the servers who I have had who didn't do their job she didn't do her job the most. Rude impolite and ignorant.

If you are planning to come here, I'd suggest to not go for any of the - ice cream only - desserts. They must be applauded on their great service, and their waffles though!

I enjoyed the environment of Kaspa's, and the customer service was good, but the magic is in their Milk Shakes. It is the best shake I have ever had in the U.K.. If you have to get a shake fix, Kaspa's is the only place I recommend in the U.K.. They have other locations, and when I visit from the States I will never except a shake unless it comes from Kaspa's. You can take my words to the bank, and if you ever see me at Kaspa's I will buy you a shake :)

There was a lot of excitement locally, awaiting the opening of Moochie B's and they have not dissapointed us. As a big fan of all things sugary, I knew this was somewhere I would have to visit, particularly as it's a 5 minute walk from where I work and the fact the interior is pink! Inside there's a kind of American Diner feel, which I love. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone who knows me knows that customer service is VERY important to me and again I was not dissapointed here. I also love the fact that this is a family run business. I heard on the grapevine that the manager/owner went to Italy to train to make gelato! Talking to him, it's clear he has a passion for it and was happy to discuss how the gelato was made and new flavours he was exploring. I asked about whether he would be doing diary free ice cream and was told that he was experimenting with this, but would also be offering sorbet at some point too. This made me VERY happy. The milkshakes seem particularly popular, but on my most recent visit, I had a fresh made waffle and gelato. Strawberries and cream come as standard, although I did not partake. The gelato was so creamy and full of flavour and the waffle was huge, so I was a very happy person.

I spent over 6 months looking for a cake company that was 'local' and 'trustworthy' and even friends had recommended me to go to them I thought I had found this in KissMeCupcakes, I was so wrong! 5 weeks before my wedding they have cancelled my order. I am absolutely furious with them and their poor quality of service. To think they can just do this to a bride is unbelievable! Over 5 months of communicating with them there was no mention of the word 'deposit' even when we met up! They had told me they can't carry out my order when they had checked their diary again, but if I hadn't email them would they have the courtesy to call and apologise? Probably not! Two weeks before this they we're still talking to me about the cupcakes and still there was no mention of a deposit and previously have told me they have put this in their diary for their records. Obviously they have messed up somewhere along the lines and had come up with a pathetic excuse! Saying 'sorry' just doesn't quite cut it I'm afraid, I would never recommend any of my family or friends to them, they are unprofessional, irresponsible and have no courtesy to even call and apologise. If they had put my order in their diary they should have at least called/email to ask if I wanted to go ahead and if so I will need to pay deposit. Unbelievable! As the Head of Marketing for The Litigation Advice Bureau based in Birmingham City Centre, Kiss Me Cupcakes just keep on stealing the show. Not only do they smell, feel and look good, they taste blooming marvellous too. Dali and Maz are two of the nicest, genuine and sincere people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting who just ooze professionalism with that dedicated personal touch - such a rare quality these days. Every time I have an event or big meeting needing cupcakes, advice and additional suggestions from Dali and Maz is never too much trouble. The cupcakes look great with our logo on them - my favourite is the lemon one, and the chocolate one, and the mint one - I cant choose!!!! I cannot reccomend Kiss Me Cupcakes highly enough to anyone looking to host an event, impress a client or even have a private function. I'm not a big fan of cupcakes or cakes in general. But things changed when I came across the Kiss Me Cupcakes team at an event I attended. Firstly, the look of them were so cute, all with individual character and style. As soon as I tasted the cupcakes, I was in shock how they melt so beautifully into your mouth. They smell absolutely lush, and taste delicious. My personal favourite is the mint cupcakes, and the icing doesn't taste like the regular icing you usually get...it was really tasty and tasted like they were just baked. Would recommend Kiss Me Cupcakes for every occasion. In fact, the team even donated a 7 tier made up of cupcakes and little mini cupcakes at a wedding show I was exhibiting at, and believe me....it was a show stopper. I used Kiss Me Cupcakes to provide cakes for the launch of our new charity shop as Dali and Maz were able to put our logo on to the cakes. The cakes themselves looked and tasted fabulous. They were delivered on time, displayed professionally and everyone commented on what a fabulous centre piece they made! I subsequently attended one of the Kiss Me Cupcakes workshops which was very informal, enjoyable and informative. I have made batches of cupcakes since and they have always gone down very well with colleagues, family and friends. I went to a workshop with Kiss Me Cupcakes at the beginning of April and it was fantastic. Although I have experience with baking, it was an ideal course for beginners or people who have baked at home before. One of the really nice touches was actually having the opportunity to bake the cupcakes before decorating them, rather than being given a set of pre-baked cakes to decorate. Dali and Maz were really friendly and helpful, and even ordered an icing nozzle for me to collect after the workshop. I would really higly recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to bake cupcakes and in learning different piping techniques. read more

I love homemade cakes and i was not a huge fan of shop bought cakes, but this all changed when i tasted a Kiss me cupcake! They taste so fresh and light, and whats best is they are ethical and use organic and fairtrade products where possible! They have so many different variations and last for a couple of days after being baked. Even at short notice they always manage to bake them for me whenever i ask. I booked onto the course with my mom, who has been baking and icing cakes for years! From the initial phone call with Dali, to the day itself, we were made to feel very welcome. Maz is a fab teacher and Dali was very supportive throughout. I have achieved the impossible, I actually iced a cake and loved it! My mom also felt that she learnt something new too! We had an amazing cupcake workshop on saturday! I bought it for my sister as a birthday present and my friend came along too. It was an intimate and friendly workshop full of positive support and giggles which is what made it such a lovely experience! In the 3 hours we were there, we learnt so much from how to make the initial cupcake to the different butter icing decorating techniques. But the contents of the crepe was nice. The shop is very very big, maybe even too big. There is a small kids play area which is good to stop small children running around the shop for fun! But it can be full of kids and mums which is annoying if you want some peace and quiet. It was fairly clean, but not to my standard of clean. We were given a knife, fork and spoon held together with damp napkins, which looked cheap and nasty. I had also ordered a beetroot smoothie and was repeatedly asked if i wanted it made with frozen yogurt or soft serve. I wasn't sure what soft serve was so i asked the waiter to explain himself and he just kept saying its soft serve. i had no idea what it was. Then my friend pointed out its like a Mr Whippy van style ice -cream. Why couldn't he just say that? So i chose frozen yogurt. The smoothie was nice but i would prefer to have it with our any frozen yogurt or soft serve. There is a lot of choice with savoury options, a small selection of cakes, lots of different toppings for the pancakes, crepes and waffles. Price wise i think its very expensive. We had 1 Crepe, a small black coffee and smoothie for £14.00. Even for Harborne that is slightly too high, especially when this is aimed more at parents with children. I would return if I got a craving but I wouldn't rush back. Overall what I had was nothing special.

I can't put a finger on when it started, but just the sight of ice cream makes me turn into a hyper child pulling on my dad's sleeve to persuade him to buy me a Feast or a Mr Whippy. As soon as I saw the first photos of Paradice being added to Yelp, that was it - I HAD to go. A trip to Harborne for work was planned and I knew a trip to the Gelateria had to be a part of the day. After doing some work in Boston Tea Party in the morning, an ice cream was just what the Doctor ordered after my massive lunch as an afternoon pick-me-up. The venue is just up from the Junction and has entrances on both sides (both Vivian and High Street) and is bright, airy and large. One side has a small children's soft play area (to keep the kids busy) and the other has a selection of booths and chairs for visiting groups. After a long look at the selection (which is rather generous to say the least), I opted to go for the (now) legendary "Hello Kitty" mixed with cola millions flavour in a medium tub (£3.40). The gelato is lovely. Light, fluffy and packed full of flavour - it dances on the palate (even when it's long gone). I didn't feel aggrieved at the price for two scoops at all (and if I had, had more of an appetite might have opted for 3). The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in. I was offered tasters of different flavours to try before I chose and you could sense that they love their jobs (which is important, especially in the service industry). I will definitely be back to try more of their selection. I believe their Ferrero Rocher flavour is already calling me...

The tapioca balls are sucked up using a thick straw and chewed while you drink simultaneously. These drinks are quite filling! They have a lot of flavours available including matcha tea! They are made up to take away with a sealed top on so later consumption is always a option! The opening times are quite late till 8-9 pm and the prices for bubble tea are around the £3 mark. If your looking for a quick fix after a night out at the Arcadian or near by I would recommend this place!

You can have both hot and soft drinks here. I have had a hot chocolate from De la Crème and it was perfecto. It tasted just as I like it and I savoured every moment of that hot chocolate. I have also had jacket potato and beans. The potato was cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are cakes, paninis and croissants you can eat from here. I also love my chocolate éclairs and I was in one of those moods where I just craved for an éclair. It was excellent to say the least and I just love coming here. There's a limited seating area. It's a welcome break from the many Indian sweet shops in the area.

The bad point for this great little gem is that its in cathedral lanes, somewhat out of the way i feel from lots more trade. There is not really anyseating near by either as its mostly taken up by people coming out of wilko's. This shop is very reasonably priced and compared to the one in leamington shows no difference in the quality of cookies/drinks or servcie. they are all top notch. Its good to see smaller shops/chains getting the recognition they deserve. Go and have a look, youll be suprised by just how tempting they are.

They taste quite nice, more of the 'soft chewy' school of cookie than the crunchy one that I prefer. Cookies are baked instore every day, though the dough is bought in ready-made, which I think is cheating a little bit. There are lots of flabours, most of which revolve around chocolate chunks with or without nuts, the chunks are 'real' chocolate and quite generous. My favourite is stem ginger and dark chocolate, my boyfriend likes the lemon ones and the peanut butter ones. I find most of their cookies taste salty, but my boyfriend likes them, although he admits that they are not a patch on homemade. The prices are fairly steep, you can buy them individually or in packs, they are sold by weight rather than by unit. One thing I do love is their signage, as it was painted by Quentin Blake and I am a huge fan of his work.

Located right opposite the swimming baths and gym, I always end up having a brew before a gym session. Being this side of Harborne, works to Boo Boo's advantage as you don't have to take a walk down the High Street which can seem like a mammoth task on a Sunday morning! Every time I have been in, it has been very busy. With a couple of outside tables and a massive window, it's great when the sun is shining on us. The Coffee is most excellent because they use Allpress espresso beans from London which gives their drinks a massive edge over most places some places in Birmingham. Single origin is offered though a Chemex, another brew method not often seen in the second city. If Coffee and Tea isn't your bag then I can recommend one of the many smothies they offer, which can have protein added to them. Boo Boo coffee is very family friendly and you can pop your little ones in the play area they provide. This place has been come a favourite place of mine to have some alone time or catch up with friends. Sure you will love it!

The shop is small and quirky. They do accept reservations so if you are going to visit with friends it's worth booking ahead. There's some seating outside too. The coffee served here is excellent. I couldn't see anywhere advertising the sort of beans or specifics used. The coffee does stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the best in Birmingham though. The store also serves typical brunch which is available all day long. If your looking for a quick coffee or some brunch in harborne I would highly recommend it here!

But the best aspect is the downstairs bar area. Still smells a bit of paint as it's so new, but this is easy to get past. Stripped back and exposed brick, it's very cool. Obviously not somewhere to go on a sunny summers day, as there's no natural light! Decent selection of craft beer and spirits. Tuesdays are at the time of writing flatbread and 2 halves of beer for £10 which is great value. This will become a very regular haunt of mine, right on the doorstep. And it can definitely be included as part of the Harborne Run, if that's your jam...
