Based on my one experience dining there, I cannot recommend his place and will never go back. I ordered the prime rib special for $35, and asked for it to be medium rare. My friend ordered the same. Both of or steaks were fully well done, very dry, and had an odd texture. The flavor was sickening. We didn't want to appear rude, and for sure did not want them to try bringing us another prime rib. So for $35 each, we had our side salad, mashed potatoes, and called it quits. The waitress offered us boxes for the steaks, but we wanted nothing to do with those oddly textured and off colored, over cooked steaks. read more

We found this little gem on a road trip. We were hungry for breakfast and they delivered. A small place I expected to wait a bit for our food, but it was quite quick! I had a single blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs that I believed have to have been farm fresh and 4 strips of delicious bacon cooked crispy as ordered! My mother had those same delicious scrambled eggs and bacon with some rye toast and home fries. We both left full for about $12! Overall, it was OK, borderline disappointing. The service was exceptional! I definitely felt like and enjoyed the country diner experience! Both my wife's burger and my fry fish was overcooked, so they were both dry, which was very disappointing! It also would've been nice to have a handmade burger as opposed to something out of the freezer. The peanut butter pie tasted good, but it was also dry and felt like it had been made a few days ago. We paid by credit card and it was weird that we could not add our tip onto the bill, we had to be asked and the waitress had to put it on before we signed. Miss Laura's Diner has amazing and friendly service and pretty good food for the price. I stole a bite of potato and ham soup from my tablemate (that's a thing). It was great. Good flavor and very creamy. I had a roast beef sandwich and the amount of meat on it was great. Everything else was alright, just plain white bread, fresh lettuce and tomato with some mayo. This place is an old fashioned throwback to old Americana and it's a real treasure that I'd highly recommend to all. The portions are MORE than generous and extremely cheap. You'll find the owner working hard taking orders and waiting tables. That doesn't stop her from taking a minute to greet new customers and have a friendly conversation. What's bizarre is that most of the reviews had issues with the food taste and thought the service was great. I had the opposite experience. My food was fine, but talk about robotic. Service was mediocre at best. Sitting with no drinks and a what do you want and walk away attitude. As you can see from my other reviews if you follow me, I'm not a low marker. I know how tough it is to keep people happy but this wasn't a friendly establishment other than this one older gentlemen who came around refilling coffees. I was one of two customers when I came in, but within a few minutes a couple more tables sat down and the waitress, who I believe was the eponymous Laura, seemed to know everyone and their families by name--and that's a great thing. All of the food was prepared in a home-style fashion,so not overly greasy like a lot of diners, but pretty simple all in all. The prices range mostly from $2-$5. Looked nice enough on the outside and the waitress was very nice but the place needs a good cleaning and it's always a bad sign when there's no hot water in the restroom. The food was mediocre at best and my husband had a complete colon blow a few hours later. Enough locals seem to be happy with it but we wouldn't recommend. read more

Most diners have more than one waiter there's pretty much just have 1 which she's the owner. So she's running all over the place taking orders and serving. And trying to get people there food. We came here for breakfast to celebrate my up coming birthday. The waitress explained to us that the special that morning was Prime Rib, 2 eggs, home fries and home made toast and coffee for $7.99!! I stopped in for breakfast to go. The ladies that work there are super sweet and very accommodating. While waiting for my food I ordered the most delicious homemade cinnamon sugar donut. I had a bacon, egg and cheese English muffin sandwich for my breakfast. I got in the car and had to share with my mother and the dog. I went here for lunch. Got a simple bacon cheese burger med it was cooked correctly and just regular simple diner food. Fries were standard commercial fries and cole slaw was chopped too small for my taste and probably commercial made as well It didn't settle well . Seemed fine at the time.An hour later...
