Food menu - page 2

Phenomenal whiskey spot in beautiful downtown Sackets Harbor. Probably the biggest selection of Whiskey & Rye north of Albany, NY. We ventured in on a random Wednesday for some afternoon cocktails & were sure glad we did. There is a new menu (pictures attached to this review) with lots of indoor & outdoor seating. We didn't try the food but watched a flurry of it come out of the kitchen, each more tempting than the last. Patricia our bartender was pleasant & extremely attentive. We will be back for sure.

We were in the area and decided to check this place out. It's a cute little bar restaurant that looks like it could seat about 30ish people in the inside. We chose a table outside to enjoy the weather. The bartender seated our party of 7 and took our drink order. He was super personable and knowledgeable. Most of us ordered something from Coop Cocktails list, like the Ginger Snapple, Bourbon, A. Palmer, and Kentucky Mule. The drinks were delicious. I am sad that we weren't there to try the food. A lot of the food being served looked delicious. I would definitely come back to this place again if visiting the area.

Great food and drinks, mediocre service. Grabbed lunch here with my family on a toasty summer day. The good. The outdoor seating area is a nice spot to enjoy a summer day in the village downtown. The food was fun and tasty the corn fritters and Brussel sprouts were awesome starters and the Nashville hot chicken was seriously spicy. The cocktails were also really good, The bad. They don't allow dogs (other than service animals), which I understand but as a outdoor seated lunch spot in a small town it feels like the kind of place that would. The service was also a bit suspect. They put in the wrong order and came out with the wrong thing and despite the limited number of tables waitresses brought us food for another table on two occasions. The kitchen was quick to get the corrected order out and the staff were friendly and let us have the wrong order free of charge, but it was not a well oiled machine. I would go back on another light business day but I might think twice if the place looks crowded.

The place is a quaint little restaurant with a few tables inside and some more in a heated tent. We arrived and were greeted right away for a table and told they could seat us outside. I had noticed a couple tables inside were finishing up and requested an inside table and we could wait at the bar. Though the bar did seem a little busy not one of the four in our party were greeted by a bartender or told they'd be right with us. This lasted the entire time we waited for the table. One of the servers grabbed us for our table, gave us our menus, and said someone would be over shortly. After several minutes, and still no waitress/waiter the waitress who sat us noticed and went to tell someone. Eventually, someone was told they had our table, I noticed a disgust in her expression before she came over. Finally, after 20 minutes since arrival we were able to place our drink orders. Once they were delivered, the waitress took our orders and we never saw her again. My wife ordered the pork belly, and I ordered the hand breaded chicken tenders. The pork belly was ok, a bit under seasoned and probably could have cooked a little longer as it was not as tender as we had hoped. Overall, I'd give it a 3.75/5. If the chicken tenders were hand breaded then they have mastered both the frozen tenders look and taste. Score for the tenders... 3/5. Ambiance 4/5 Service 2.5/5 Food 3/5 Total 3.1/5 Disappointed enough that even my review is disappointing to read.

Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Great service and atmosphere. Nice outdoor seating area with accommodations to keep the birds away.

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries

I honestly had high hopes because we've heard people talk up the Whiskey Coop, and I LOVE whiskey! But, my wife and I were thoroughly disappointed overall. The outdoor seating was nice, but the lack of service left us always having to flag down the servers. It took about 15-20 mins after we were seated to get drinks ordered. Additionally, it took about 45mins for our food to come out of the kitchen. I ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. The chicken was ok but the breading and buns were so soggy by the time it got to us. You can also see how burned the sweet potato fries came served to us as well. It was very disappointing. My wife originally ordered something else but received the chicken sandwich instead. She didn't want to wait another 45mins to get her correct order, so she ate it any way. She said the chicken and buns were also soggy and bland. For the price of what we paid for this meal, I expected higher quality of service and attention to detail with the food. We unfortunately will not be returning.

The Martha--The saddest salad, no cilantro or dates :/

The vegan chicken is inedible. We had dinner there last year and I foolishly ordered the chicken and waffles. Both looked as though they were pulled out of the freezer and warmed. It was horrible. I let the staff know and it was removed from the bill. I decided not to post a review thinking it was a one off thing. When we returned to Sackets this year we ordered take out hoping for a better experience. The family really enjoyed their Wac Arnold burgers medium well. This time I ordered The Martha avoiding the vegan chicken. On The Martha there was very little of the ribbon cut Romaine, absolutely no cilantro or dates. The salad was so sad. One family member had a Vegan Dirty Bird and had the same experience. The vegan chicken was horrible. She described it as having been," in the freezer for 16 months and then being overcooked and thrown in a dehydrator. On the service side it isn't great. Last summer a manager was loudly complaining that a takeout order was missing their chicken and they wanted a refund. She went on and on it created a tense dining experience. This time it was likely the first day for the employee that helped us. They literally did not know where the bags where and did not pack the bags correctly. Literally if the bags were to be picked up the takeout containers would have been vertical. There were fries for all 4 burgers and yet no ketchup even with a 15% tip.

Headed back to the Whiskey Coop tonight for dinner with my hubs since he had never been there. I kept my original4 star rating but it was closer to a 3.5 this time around. Loved the service still and had a great waitress. The Whiskey sour and the bourbon flight my husband sampled were good. The flatbread with pickles and jalapeños was delicious. The sweet potato fries and regular fries also nicely prepared. Here is where a few things went wrong/were not impressed with: Husband ordered the Nashville hot chicken that I had gotten for him before to go and it came out as the regular. He got a side of the sauce but just wasn't the same. The cornbread was not good. I wish they would bring back the buttermilk biscuits! I got the Taj Chicken sandwich and was not impressed with the coconut curry sauce. Not thick and could have had more flavor.

The Berry Manilow sour.

The Berry Manilow sour. It is a fruited sour from Meier Creek and it is very good. Would highly recommend if you like sours. Joe was our server, and he was very attentive. It started raining while we were having our drinks outside, and Joe helped us bring our drinks in!enjoyed the background music as well.

Fried chicken with 2 sides
Kathleen L.

Fried chicken diner with choice of boneless breast thigh or bone in leg I chose both boneless options which were moist ; and choice of 2 sides I chose the blue cheese coleslaw and mashed skinned in potatoes and chicken gravy. I've had blue cheese coleslaw before I can't say I tasted the blue cheese in this, wasn't bad just didn't taste it. The chicken was moist and flavorful; I did see that chicken and waffles was a very popular option. I had the guavarita as a cocktail very flavorful and throughly enjoyed it . Wednesdays are trivia night and a crowd was gathering. The service was slower and it took us about 20 minutes to even get a drink; so that took away from the experience as well as the waitress bringing a check out before we were done even thought there were plenty of free tables. In conclusion nice staff but lackadaisical.

Wow I am so excited to share this review! What an amazing experience we had at this restaurant…read more Welcomed with a friendly greeting & beautiful smile, Chase offered us a comfy booth. Then greeted by Kyle our waiter who was awesome! So classy, and so prompt, great service, suggestions, check backs, fantastic! Now the food! The bang bang cauliflower was delicious. Crispy outside, tasty seasoning, tender cauliflower. Outstanding salads with tender chicken on the Caesar salad and the shrimp was perfectly cooked on the Asian salad with crisp mixed lettuce and a sweet savory dressing. Kudos to the chef or chefs. One of the best restaurants! We will be back! Hoping to sit on the outdoor patio that I am sure is wonderful in a nice day. They also have a private room for special events. A fantastic drink menu is a bonus.

The food remains consistently excellent. The service continues to decline. Whether the place is…read morefull or empty, whether you have reservations for two or for 10 people, your table simply will not be ready. The average wait time is 20 minutes beyond your reservation time. Once you are finally seated, the wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly and will help you select your evening repast. And then you will wait again. Typically at least 20 minutes for your food. For your drinks, for your appetizers. It wasn't always like that. There is an internal inefficiency in their kitchen operations in recent months that results in delays. They seem to have enough staff. They just seem to have lost their rhythm. The ambience is lovely, the table settings fine. But there are little things that are slipping. As you can tell from my many reviews of this restaurant over the last several years, this beautiful establishment has achieved four stars. But today in June 2026, their beautiful cuisine is served on nice porcelain plates, but their coleslaw is served in a paper cup. The music is way too loud so you can't have a conversation at the table unless you scream. And they claim to not be allowed to turn the music down. They clearly cater to the 30 and under crowd. The 60s and older are not a priority for them. Wine is properly served, and the drinks are nicely mixed but to get a refill will take you a very long time. When the tables around you are empty, it begs the question as to what is the cause of the delay. My last two dinners here experienced these inexcusable delays. I hope they get the problem straightened out. Because this really is a destination restaurant.
