We stayed for a few days, during which we enjoyed fishing, taking the pontoon boat out for a day of exploring the lakes, fires in the fireplace, cooking and eating breakfast together each morning, and especially sleeping out on the porch! I have not slept so well in many years, and enjoyed listening to the loons out on the lake.Our hosts were so warm and inviting. We found some delicious cookies waiting for us when we entered, along with the recipe (which I've made several times at home). Check in and out was easy. Property lines up along a scenic lake with a foot bridge to get to the boathouse. Plenty of grey, black, and orange/red squirrels, chipmunks, and seven deer roam the grounds. We saw the deer at sunrise and dusk. Open the curtain to the siding glass door and the deer look right at you. *Photo op I tell you. The kitchen is stocked rather well with most cooking and serving items you need for meals inside. Patio has a small grill. Our two bedroom two bathroom unit has one bathroom on each level. That means no master bathroom. We made it work for us for the time we were here. One thing we didn't like is there wasn't any extra boxes of tissues. We came for Spring Break and we have seasonal allergies. Thankfully we didn't run out of tissues. There was plenty of towels and tp, oh and blankets. Decorated in mountain cabin and bear motifs. Sturdy (and clean) chairs, couches and rocking chairs. Plenty of places to sit and read. Master bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads to a private balcony. Lower level sliding glass door leads to a patio that's part of the common area. And deer hang around here. Located an hour or more from several ski resorts in both WI and upper peninsula MI. Keweenaw peninsula is a great day trip from here.

We arrived just before 4 PM on Saturday (before the office closed) but their clocks must be fast versus our cell phones. We dropped off our paperwork and finally saw someone the day we checked out. The beds were not uncomfortable but we didn't sleep well. Overall, everything was fine but not great.

The Copperwood Condominiums certainly offer above par accommodations in the Eagle River area. That…read moresaid, not all reservations are without problems. When we arrived for our stay, we were met with phone calls detailing everything that was not in working order at the resort. While we were promised the items would be fixed during our stay, they were not. In addition, we found more maintenance issues including a non-working elevator, fireplace, sauna, and WiFi connection in addition to docks that were broken and sagging. Boat rental from Conger had just as many problems. Furthermore, guests should be wary if visiting during the same time as condo owners. During our stay, condo owners dominated most of the common areas including the fire pit, sandbox, lake frontage, and docks with benches, making them practically unusable to any of the other guests. The grounds and homes may be beautiful, but proceed with caution and do your due diligence before committing to a reservation.

We just happen to get #20. Uneven, no where to put your things out. To make matters worse, both sites you had to walk to your fire pit. How tacky. You could hear all conversations around you. I don't get how this campground was rated a 4.9 out of 5.0. They call it peaceful pines, there is NO peace. The boat launch is right there. Noisy from sunrise to sunset. If that didn't get to you, there is a major road with a lot of noisy traffic. We watched two sites across the way become vacant the day before we left. Check out 10 sharp, but I never saw anyone come out to the sites to check if it was ready for the next campers. Don't you think it could have been cleaned, maybe raked, something. Now the owners were pleasant, but man you talk about noise, from drilling, sawing, banging. I understand they have to work around the campground, but could the majority of the work wait until mid to late fall? We called before coming to find out if there was a place to take our dog to the water. Was told "Oh yes"! Down by the boat landing, take a right (risk your life with tree limbs). There is NO PLACE to take your dog. No beaches allow dogs. They tend to cater to the seasonal people and their cabins. It's sad that our first time will be our last time. We really enjoyed our stay at Peaceful Pines. It seemed like a campground for true campers --…read morequiet, nice sites, and no waterpark or pool. Who needs a pool when you're basically across the boat launch parking lot from Eagle Lake? The staff was beyond friendly and the self service model for wood and ice with Venmo and cash options was great. It was a smaller campground but had everything you truly needed, plus the option of renting one of their two pontoons. As much as is possible with a boat, it came with white glove service. They put it in the water for you and when you were done at the end of the day you gave them a call and they came and loaded it back up. Matt was awesome and gave some recommendations for spots to stop while out on the water. It couldn't have been an easier way to explore the Eagle River chain. We would definitely stay again and play try out their small cabin options at some point.
