We pretty much were the only ones in our wing of the lodge and it was great. Great showers, great roomy room, and view of what would be a lake, but it was iced over. The room was nice and cozy warm too. It would have been nice to have a channel to know what we were watching but we were gone a lot. Room service was great too! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. One thing, feedback wise, is maybe to put a door before the hallway where the rooms are. The voices echo in the lobby and we could hear them all the way down the hallway. A little thing, but we noticed it. We would definitely stay here again, it was delightful and a great find!!

Knowing we would have had a…read morelong day of driving beforehand, I asked for an early check-in, so we could freshen up before heading out again. The owner emailed us within 10 minutes of reserving online letting us know they would have a room ready. We were again greeted by the owner at check-in, and she could not have been more genuinely friendly. Our room was very clean, and the price was great. If you're in the area, shop local and don't stay in one of the chain hotels. Places like this deserve business.

So this year we had a group of nearly 30 and while the facility housed us all well it is in very…read morepoor condition. The pictures that are on the website are not current and very misleading. The house is not as isolated like it shows, and there is not a large area between the house and water for games or the firepit. It is quite close in proximity leaving you to need to play yard games up near the driveway. As my pictures show the outside of the house is in need of some maintenance and cleaning with wasps and spiders taking up residence. Two of our family members were stung during our stay. While inside there are extension cords everywhere and the lack of outlets is very frustrating. Doors that open and shut very hard, poorly or not completely. There are bathrooms without locks on doors, no exhaust fans many of them with mold on the ceilings. The bar area in the basement was very dirty and none of the arcade games nor jute box worked, as stated they did. The grill was dirty and in very poor condition and had empty propane tanks. Overall we were saddened by the condition of the facility. For the cost we paid, we are unable to recommend this to future vacationers. The continental breakfast is adequate (coffee, doughnuts, bananas, yogurt and juices). Should you wash a more traditional breakfast you'll find several restaurants within a mile. It's quiet and convenient. There's good fishing right outside your door. We've been staying here forever twenty years; never a complaint.

We stayed for a few days, during which we enjoyed fishing, taking the pontoon boat out for a day of exploring the lakes, fires in the fireplace, cooking and eating breakfast together each morning, and especially sleeping out on the porch! I have not slept so well in many years, and enjoyed listening to the loons out on the lake.Our hosts were so warm and inviting. We found some delicious cookies waiting for us when we entered, along with the recipe (which I've made several times at home). Check in and out was easy. Highly recommended for families or for couples looking for a quiet vacation together.
