They have a few options here in terms of size and price, but the main area is easily accessible from everywhere. Even though it's just a short distance from town, you feel like you're way out in the woods. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, with a couple different sleeping areas, a full kitchen, fridge, etc. I brought home a day's fishing catch and cooked it up right there. If you come with a larger group they have central fire pits and grilling areas and a couple big party shelters protected from the rain. They have WiFi throughout the property, which you'll probably need as I had no cell service up here. There was a baby deer on the property whose mother came by periodically to check. There's a sauna and a barn with bikes for everyone to use. Super peaceful and relaxing vacation.

These traditional "up north" cabins are clean, cozy and organized to cover all basic needs: pillows/ blankets/linens, towels, wood and a fire pit, a charcoal grill, (my cabin had ) a wonderful screen porch, shower, basic cooking/baking, cleaning and first aid supplies and a binder containing information about the resort and local area. The neighboring Wisconsin State hiking and biking trails, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, swing set, fish cleaning station, free internet, wildlife and incredible views provide the backdrop for a fun, relaxing Vacation. This family ran resort has it all as well as personality and a long valuable history with the area.

It's a simply lovely spot on a beautiful lake, and the sunsets are to die for from this exact spot on the lake. The cabin itself is cozy and homey - very relaxed. Beds are comfy and the cabins have everything you need, other than linens. Fishing and boating are wonderful on this lake, and my family loves to go tubing and waterski. There's a sand bar between two connected lakes that you can walk all the way across from shore to shore. I also love that the gas station, convenience store and restaurant are within a quarter mile of the place. Just no better place to stay for a fabulous vacation!

They host a resort picnic/BBQ one evening early in the week for all their guests, giving a great opportunity to get to know a little about your neighbors for the week. Having 6 cabins of different sizes gave us the perfect fit for our family of 4 plus our little Muffin pup. There was plenty to do both at the resort and the surrounding area. Never a dull moment. Kayaking, fishing, waterski show on Plum Lake; tennis, basketball, and park nearby; horseback riding, go-karting, shopping, and the most beautiful crystal-clear lake at Crystal Lake a short distance away. My husband and son even went paint balling with some of the other resort guests and had a blast! Looking forward to coming back to Plum Gate Resort again. :)

First, we arrived at our cabin at 4 to check in. It was a HOT mess. The cleaners (when they finally came) were extremely apologetic as were the women working the office at Hillers, but the owners and managers were no where to be found and never called me when I had asked for some kind of a refund because we had to wait until 6:00 when our cabin was finished being clean. Second, we rented a pontoon which was great, but we rented it for three days. The first day it arrived by noon but were told that it would have normally arrived at 4 pm, but they only had a few pontoons to drop off. Really? Pay for three full days but don't get to use it for three full days? Rip off. Third, we paid for four days, and on the fourth day when we were supposed to check out, we had to be out by 8 am which was fine. Not great or reasonable since we paid for FOUR days, but we did it. There was a man sitting in a car watching as we finished packing up our car and left. As we left, he pulled up behind us and headed towards the cabin. Fourth, we were randomly charged after our stay. Apparently they've had many complaints about the mechanics who check in the boats that are rented charging patrons, but yet the owners haven't done anything to stop this. I am still waiting on a phone call from Mark or Nick also. We love going up north and have for decades but the experience with Hillers has made me never want to book with them again. Hopefully no one else has a similar experience.

We love this place, and it's always so hard to leave. Whether we are swimming in the sun, reading a book on the shady deck, kayaking on calm Little St. Germain Lake, sliding shuffleboard pucks, or playing cards on a rainy day, there is no place more tranquil or fun than Hiller's Pine Haven. Never met them before, but friends now. They are repeat customers too. The owners were great as always. They bent over backwards to make sure our stay was good. Yes, the cabins have age. But they are super clean and the beds can't be that old. They were plenty comfortable. I couldn't stay anywhere else while visiting the area.

Taking notes in case we want to start a cabin/lodge etc. etc. these people did it right.
