The lugnuts were so tight, I couldn't budge them, and I am usually pretty strong and self-sufficient. The owner of Crystal Waters Resort not only pulled over to make sure I was ok, he even loosened the lugnuts for me so I could change my tire. He even waited and blocked off the street so I would be safe while doing so. This type of hospitality helping a stranger, I can only imagine how much above and beyond he would go for his guest. It's a simply lovely spot on a beautiful lake, and the sunsets are to die for from this exact spot on the lake. The cabin itself is cozy and homey - very relaxed. Beds are comfy and the cabins have everything you need, other than linens. Fishing and boating are wonderful on this lake, and my family loves to go tubing and waterski. There's a sand bar between two connected lakes that you can walk all the way across from shore to shore. I also love that the gas station, convenience store and restaurant are within a quarter mile of the place. Just no better place to stay for a fabulous vacation!

We have dishes, linens...including plush bath towels, outdoor seating and a grill (as do the other cabins from what I have seen). The back porch overlooking the River is my favorite. My son has been able to fish off shore in front of our cabin, from the dock and we took a cruise south in one of the resort boats. Carley & Dan run a clean, organized and family friendly resort and have recommendations for fun activities in the area. This week we plan to fish, rent kayaks and maybe even go rafting.

This place is definitely dog friendly. The cabin was just what we needed. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the A/C kept it cool despite temps in the upper 80s, the kitchen along with the charcoal grill met our dining needs. The only thing that I would have changed is a little more space in the bathroom - it is tiny. Loved waking up and enjoying my morning coffee overlooking the river. We'll definitely come back next time we are in Iron Mountain.

Caught fish on every trip on the lake! Crappie, Bluegill, Perch and Bass is what we fish for. The cabins/homes are very clean, and Donna and Andy are extremely friendly and attentive to whatever we needed. Real nice sand beach swimming area. Free WiFi in the cabins/homes. Had canoes, paddle boat and kayaks for use. Cute little activity room available with a foosball table and some pinball machines. We'd recommend you check them out! It was our first trip there and have already booked for 2020!

They have a few options here in terms of size and price, but the main area is easily accessible from everywhere. Even though it's just a short distance from town, you feel like you're way out in the woods. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, with a couple different sleeping areas, a full kitchen, fridge, etc. I brought home a day's fishing catch and cooked it up right there. If you come with a larger group they have central fire pits and grilling areas and a couple big party shelters protected from the rain. They have WiFi throughout the property, which you'll probably need as I had no cell service up here. There was a baby deer on the property whose mother came by periodically to check. There's a sauna and a barn with bikes for everyone to use. Super peaceful and relaxing vacation.

And not only were the aesthetics amazing, but the cabin was immaculately clean and so comfortable! My bed was very comfortable and the furnishings in general allowed for real relaxation. We enjoy going out to eat and antiquing and other activities when visiting the North Woods, but both my daughter and I said it would not have been a tragedy if we would have had to spend more time indoors, due to weather. Just a great experience!
