    BLT

Yummy breakfast and lunch options! I had the Roast beef and a couscous salad, my son had a BLT. Both were offered on a delicious biscuit. I washed mine down with black current tea, he guzzled apple juice. This place has recently changed ownership, but food quality has not gone bye-bye. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to step out from the norm.

I wavered between 4 & 5 stars because of the rather sparse decor, but the food pushed me over the edge! What a great find for lunch today. The food is fresh and delicious. The prices are amazingly low. The servings are perfect for lunch. Sometimes I am amazed at the gigantic servings in many places, which only feed into American obesity. For two of us, the lunch bill was just $15 and change. We had one cheese steak hand pie, double pork hand pie and two side salads. The hand pies were super but I was even more impressed by the corn and basil side salad. I will now routinely plan dentist appointments in Indianola around lunch time so I can visit Mish Mash routinely.

Stopped in for lunch during a quick work visit to a local MC dealer and was pleasantly delighted by the unique taste of these perfectly prepared, hand-crafted sandwiches! Reasonably priced. Best idea is to buy a couple, split and share with friends. That way you get to try more than one.

A wonderful coffee shop breakfast and a game while we wait and eat.

Wonderful, somewhat unique breakfast menu, especially if you are looking for something different than a typical restaurant breakfast. Maybe cost is a bit more than normal for a coffee shop, but food was delicious and better than the norm so was worth it.

    A great place

This place is amazing. I had a cinnamon sugar donut, I've also had the Quiche, both amazing and very reasonably priced! The place is very very clean and is excellently decorated. A great place for Indianola!

Basic biscuit, monkey break and Guatemalan drip coffee. What. Up.

Their chocolate chip cookies are to die for and the atmosphere is great. Couldn't recommend enough.

The texture of the egg in the biscuit sandwich was just right, soft middle & crispy edges.

What really stands out is that he genuinely listens to his customers. If something isn't quite right or you have a suggestion, Mr. Fox takes the time to hear you out and looks for ways to make things better. The Groggy Dog also does a great job keeping things interesting with its beer selection. The beers on tap are always changing, giving you a chance to try something different each time you visit. Whether you have a favorite or want to branch out and try something new, there's usually something worth checking out. I really appreciate that they don't just stick with the same lineup--they keep things fresh and give customers a reason to come back and see what's new. Between the great food, rotating beer selection, and the way Bob genuinely cares about his customers and his business, The Groggy Dog is the kind of place that feels less like a restaurant and more like a local gathering spot. You can tell there's a lot of pride and hard work behind what they do, and it shows.

The Irish eggrolls with corned beef were pretty darn good and the local beer that was a lager from Des Moines hit the spot, but I don't remember the name.
