I went to Carolina Charm with the intention of getting a keratin treatment. Unfortunately the…read morestylist Marina did not have as much experience as I was given the impression that she did. She frequently had to check her phone and review the steps as she went through the process. I was provided her personal cell phone number to follow up as the keratin treatment was not like any I had previously. Marina did say to reach out in 72 hour in case I needed a redo/touchup. She did not use enough product or apply it correctly as the keratin treatment needs to be redone. Given the fact that I've had numerous keratin treatments this was the only time I've had one without success. Extremely disappointed. I have requested that the owner reach out and I have yet to hear from them. Disappointed with the unsuccessful keratin treatment and disappointed that I have not had a response from the owner.

I had called on Saturday to schedule an appointment for a cut correction, the appointment was…read morescheduled for today and I was a half hour late getting there because I went to the wrong salon first. When I arrived my stylist Denise requested prepayment for my cut. Although I found the request a little odd I pre-paid for a cut and color and that was a HUGE MISTAKE! She had 2 other clients come in and she didn't even start my haircut for about an hour after my arrival. After she butchered my hair cut she placed a cap on my head to color it and pull my hair through. I was appalled and wanted to leave immediately! She told me the cap would've been the best way to color my hair. The trendy rose gold color would've never worked with a pull cap. After some banter back and forth I finally received a partial refund which I had to explain how to do. NEVER AGAIN!!

It was truthful but a bit unkind as I was having a bad hair day! I was truly annoyed that I was unhappy with my cut and had to go to another salon for a recut paying for 2 haircuts in one week. What I was correct about was the owner! She called me and cancelled my appointment and told me to find another salon because of my yelp review!!! A good business person would have handled it quite differently. Owners are usually friendly to all customers and she would ONLY say hello if we made eye contact which was rare. To sit in a salon for 3 hours a few feet from the owner without so much as a how are you is amazing. This one star rating reflects my experience with the salon but Jennie Lynn is a 4 or 5 star colorist.
