I wasn't anticipating a response until next week. But, nope! Ms Maureen promptly responded. She answered my questions and offered to assist in any way. THANK YOU, Maureen!! After we exchanged a couple emails, I felt, this is exactly what I am looking for, and scheduled an appointment with Ms. Sharon, the 'Ouidad' stylist. More HUGE THANK YOU's to Ms. Sharon, for listening to my concerns and for knowing exactly what I was looking for. Ms. Sharon is professional, friendly, knowledgeable and has an incredible skillset. My hair grows quickly. My last hair cut was shy of 4 years ago, and it was to my collar bone. Since then it grew down to my 'bootie'. Why did I wait so long? Well, to be honest, I had a hard time finding someone I was truly comfortable with that has the knowledge and skillset. Ms. Sharon was worth the wait. I looked in the mirror, and saw the 'ol me', and I couldn't help but get choked up with happy tears. THANK YOU, MS SHARON for being so wonderful. The Salon itself is very bright, cheerful and clean with lots of various services to choose from. Also, I am excited to be donating my hair to, 'Children with Hair Loss'. They truly are a non-profit, that will assist children, at no cost to the family. What a true blessing. Thank you, Ms. Sharon for the great information!! I might also add that I also have a tender scalp. I've been coloring my hair for thirty years so it's never been a problem. I put this appointment off because I am leaving for Europe in two days for a three week trip. My hairdresser knew this. I don't live very far away and admit I was ten minutes late. Getting anywhere via Hwy 17 can be iffy. I arrived and she cancelled me. My "scalp was just too tender and I was late". This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. After the appointment she could have said hey we don't mesh and you should find someone knew. We didn't mesh, I was going to find a new hairdresser. She took over three hours last time, but too cancel just two days before my trip and she knew about the trip was malicious, unprofessional and mean-spirited. Beware of this hairdresser!

I knew it wouldn't be good when I walked in the door, and I should have trusted my instincts. Old and dirty shop. Her scissors were in a case on the counter and the case and scissors were filled with old cut hair. Did she ever sanitize her scissors? Unswept Hair on the floor. I needed blonde foils and she was recommended by a friend. She absolutely fried my hair, and now it's so damaged that I can't have further foils until the damage is cut off. My hair is like straw. The cut was completely uneven - off by as much as an inch in the back from right to left. I moved in from another state where my previous salon worked hard to get my hair in super healthy condition. It only took one time here and now it's ruined. You have been warned. If you are the owner and reading this take steps to train and get to cleaning/remodeling your salon. If you are a potential client- you have been warned.
