Went to their clinic for extremely favorable vaccination prices and we were also scheduling our female cat to be fixed as well. She had her final vaccine in September 12th and weighed just under 11pounds. I paid the 50$ deposit for her surgery and it was scheduled for today. I was due to pay the other 25$ upon picking her up after surgery. About an hour after I dropped her off, I was contacted stating that she was 1 to 2 pounds overweight and the Dr needs her to lose that before they could perform surgery. Now she's been seen September 12th with a weight of 10.70. it's on her vaccination sheet. They've never ever ever ever mentioned weight being an issue. Never once mentioned that her weight was reaching a limit that they don't tolerate. Oh to top it off, they still had the audacity to touch my cat. They shaved her, prepped for surgery and I talked to ask why they did that and I was told they needed to make sure she wasn't fixed already. Nevermind the fact that I got her at 4 pounds, fit in the palm of my hand, along with the fact that I just paid to have her fixed, a bit moronic that they'd think I wouldn't know whether my animal is fixed or not.
Update...was just sent paperwork for today's visit and it had my cats weight which contradicts September's weight being 10.70 lbs. This particular document has her at 8lbs. As a matter of fact, they sent me 2 documents and clear as day on both, she's only 8 lbs. So they wanted me to make my year and half cat lose 2 more pounds to have surgery at 6lbs?????? Something is very wrong here. read more
