Excellent restaurant. We were quickly seated & served. Sweet tea is on point. Chimichangas are excellent!!!

Always a good choice for affordable Mexican cuisine and great margarita specials every day. Service is typically really good. The best affordable place for Mexican cuisine in Carthage. Top three on dishes. Depending on what you order. read more

I ordered the carne Asada dinner. It was pretty good. Lots of food for the money. Service was good and friendly. Wish the steak wasnt cooked so long. But overall a typical carne Asada. Check this place out. read more

Took a road trip from Bentonville to Kansas City, and made a stop at Mis Arcos - OMG what a find! Our server, Luis, was fantastic! While the chips and salsa were delicious, be careful... the food portions were no joke! I had the Chimichanga Supreme, and my husband had the Molcajete. We did our darndest to finish what we could, and still took about half to-go. SO good!! By far the best Mexican food we've had in quite awhile (and we're from Texas). Sweet tea was on point, and the Margaritas rocked! read more

Mis Arcos Mexican Restaurant - Play closest is Diablo shrimp, farthest is chicken breast and shrimp with a cheese sauce - Mexican Near Me - Carthage, Missouri

I really enjoy Mis Arcos. My favorite menu items are the fried flour crunchy shell tacos with shredded beef, onions, peppers, & cheddar (from the buffet), the beef and/or chicken fajitas, and the Birria sauce shredded beef or pork. I also enjoy their chips & salsa. As a Carthage, MO local, I've eaten at this local restaurant many times over the past several years. It remains consistent in flavor & quality, and y he service is very good as well. The dining area is roomy but not all in one big room. It's sectioned off enough to have sound buffers so it's easier to converse with others in your party. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to sure as I'm not currently at Mis Arcos. However, if you're looking for Mexican cuisine that's not necessarily Tex Mex and is still pretty good and consistent quality, give Mis Arcos a try! read more

(Somehow this was posted on the wrong restaurant 8 months ago!!! Soooo sorry, Mis Arcos) "Absolutely worth the visit! Food came fast & was delicious!!! The large guacamole was amazing & our wonderful server, Yazmin, listed the ingredients and she asked if we wanted everything in it; we didn't want the cilantro, and it was so cool to be asked and to be able to customize it! My shrimp chimichanga was s00000 good!!! The Margarita was huge and just perfect Sorry, I forgot, so the picture is after the meal." LOL read more

I absolutely LOVE Mexican food. I could eat it every day in some form and never get tired. I am constantly on the search for the best in town. Y'ALL. I think I found it. First of all, Mis Arcos is a large restaurant, and it's very nice inside, very casual, but just a skosh elevated. Lovely Mexican decor. A comfy cozy happy place. They are home to the Mexican Buffet. It is super clean, even during lunch rush. The few times I've been there so far, I've opted to eat off the menu, but I've heard nothing but raves from buffet-goers. Their guacamole is creamy and fresh. Could be a bit more zingy with lime but I did like it very much. We paired it with angry queso (chorizo, mmmmmm) so it was a nice cool/spicy combo. I get the tamales at almost every place I try. These are an excellent version. Perfect texture, super good flavor. Hubby loves street tacos. He had the chorizo, al pastor, and carne asada flavors. He loved them all but the chorizo was the winner. Very friendly staff as well. Mis Arcos is definitely my new go-to Mexican place! read more

Great food, great margs, great people. I don't eat the buffet so can't speak to that but the menu service is always delicious.

It's ok I guess. I'm pretty picky about Mexican food and prefer the true bold flavors that come with authentic Mexican recipes. The food offerings you receive at this restaurant are anything but that. Definitely bland to my taste buds. Great service though. read more

Love their food and service is exceptional! I am Hispanic and IMO this is one of the most authentic Mexucan food places in Carthage.

Have you ever been to an All You Can Eat Mexican Buffett??? If not...Mia Arcos in Carthage, MO has you covered! Tacos, enchiladas, endless queso & salsa, taco salads, beans, rice, fajitas & MORE. I was in heaven with all of the tasty and fresh options. Did I mention they had a 2 for $5 margarita special?? What a fantastic deal! 10/10 recommend. read more

The good, the decor is great, almost feels like your at some Disney vacation spot with a Latin theme. Wait staff was prompt and friendly. Salso was fresh and tasty and table chips were light and crisp. The Ok, The food was kind of plain, of our party of 4 adults and three kids no one liked what they ordered. The kids ordered chocolate milk to drink and none would drink it. Why? we tasted it and it was watery brown milk with no chocolate flavor. Most of the food was just not prepared well, some were dry and over-cooked, some dished that said came with queso was just sprinkled with cheese, one order for an all meat burrito came with beans and rice and no meat at all. The kids ended up not eating anything they ordered. My wife ate a third of her meal and said it was just a lot of carbs with no taste. I had fish tacos that were ok but not worth having again while a side order tamale I ordered was well made and perhaps the best thing we ordered. The other adults at the table also ate about half their meals not because they were too big but they just were not that great. The bad, it was really hot inside. Not warm I mean hot, the waitress complained and apologized for it too. We came in feeling ok and left sweating and dripping. The heat added to the distaste in the food as once we were uncomfortably hot no one really wanted to eat. We might come back because of the great decor which was so well done it surprised us to find it in rural MO, we figured its worth another shot as it must be better than we experienced to have the mean to have developed such a great interior. read more

We decided to give this place a try. From the outside, I was a little worried, but once we sat down, we had a great experience. We ordered angry queso(spicy) and it was FANTASTIC! Also ordered the Texas place and it was good. I would recommend this place, and we will be back. Our server was attentive and took care of us. The music was perfect for the restaurant. read more

Edit::After we left, we realized they charged a 3% credit card fee. It would have been nice to have informed us of this because we would have paid cash. Losing a star, sorry! Lunch menu was amazing prices: $7.50 for a Chimichanga, $5.99 Enchiladas! We are from Texas, we know good Mexican food, and we will be back next time we are driving through. Clean, friendly, tasty and great prices! The Buffet looked good, but we didn't need that much food. read more

Great food and atmosphere. I love how the buffet had small portion sizes for chimis, enchiladas and taco salads. Have to go back to try it all. read more

We had the buffet. The food was very good although it was lukewarm at best. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant looked very clean. We sat in the upper dining area near the windows and actually had to wear our jackets because it was a little chilly. But we were there on a very cold evening. read more

Best Mexican food in the Joplin/Carthage area! The atmosphere is great, the restaurant is clean, the service is prompt, and the food is VERY good! The buffet offers all you could want, and is excellent. Menu items are plentiful, generous, and yummy. It's the BEST Mexican food I've had since I moved here from Arizona years ago ya'll! It is located in Carthage, but I'd drive from Joplin, Neosho, etc., for their food anytime. It's our go-to place for out-of-town guests, too. Reasonable prices. We highly recommend it if you want good Mexican cuisine. read more

Went to this place tonight with my son on a guys night out. Waited for about 5 minutes to get acknowledged. When hostess finally showed up she wasn't polite at all, no sorry for the wait, nothing. Her exact words were "follow me" and "sit here" then she was gone. I told my son I wanted to leave but he convinced me to stay and I gotta say the waiter and food made up for it. Atmosphere is nice and could see some nice birthday parties happening there. read more

TL;DR: A+++++ Favorite place in town. I go here just as often, if not more, than my other favorite place to go in Carthage. And, salsa. I would go to this place more often, if I could. If I do have to say, the salsa is probably the best part of the entire experience. It is the best salsa I have had in town, just the right consistency, plenty of it, chips complement the salsa in perfection. Ya know, everything you could want from the salsa of perfection. But on serious note, they give you plenty of chips and consistently keep your stock of salsa on par. As far as the food goes, no complaints! I make it a goal every time I go to try and get something different. I have not been disappointed yet! There is an interesting section of the menu that it seems people don't tend to explore very much, which is other cultural flavors, like Alfredo pasta, that they dabble at. I can say that it has been pretty good, I almost made it the standard thing I get, but still wanted to explore the extensive menu. Staff is very friendly! I have gotten to the point that when I go with my family, they can know exactly what my family wants to get without them actually saying much. I'm not sure that's a healthy sign, I guess... but still worth a mention. The owner is awesome and he's a big soccer fan, as am I. So much so that if you happen to be kicking around a soccer ball in his parking lot, he may come out and kick it around with you... Place is awesome! Keep up your renovations, Manny! It shows. Thanks! read more

Very nice and large restaurant. Excellent guac. Cheese sauce was a bit runny but they kept our glasses full so who cares. The salsa was under whelming but the chips were thin and fantastic. I got a steak and shrimp quesadilla. Fabulous steak. Cheese sauce was perfect. Nice amount sour cream and guac with the lettuce. Really large portions. I ate some of the shredded pork off my wife's plate... It was perfect as well... But she was jealous pof my cheese sauce. Wonderful wait staff. Highly recommend this place for lunch. read more

Mis Arcos Mexican Restaurant - Avocado enchilada with green sauce, rice and beans. - Mexican Near Me - Carthage, Missouri

I must say this has to be one of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at, Both of our plates came out hot and it was really good I had Mis Arcos plate, and he had special platter. I don't like chili relianos but I tasted his, I would eat that, the sauces were not spicy (my stomach doesn't allow it) and the salsa with chips were very good. If I lived there I would eat there all the time. The waiter was very busy, we waited awhile for him to return but he was very polite. He brought us wrong bill but quickly brought us right one. It's a nice place to eat with high back booths. If I'm back that way I would definitely make it a point to stop there. They do have a lunch menu that's reasonable. We just happened to go at dinner, big menu with lots of things to try every time you go. read more

Ok, so the place is not clean and the food is marginal at best. Not sure why it is so popular.
