The price is a little more than what I am used to, but I'm happy to pay it since they are so easy to get to AND they offer same day service. I have read with interest the review from Darin S. I disagree with him whole heartedly with respect to Mirror Pond Cleaners. I have been using them for about 2 years. The coupons have clearly written on them that they MUST be presented at the time that the laundry is dropped off. The fact that he presented his coupon post-facto is his issue not theirs. They have always been extremely quick with service for me and same day, given a few limitations, if needed. SUMMARY EXTRACT: If you are closer to one of the other Dry Cleaners in Bend, use them. Mirror Pond might have the most prominent and biggest storefront, but it is by no means your best option. Sadly the most convenient but NOT the best choice. As a Bend resident for over 20 years, I've been using Mirror Pond. THAT IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT. While they used to be Bend's only choice for Dry Cleaning, thankfully there are other options now. Unfortunately, they are still the most convenient cleaner for us and they DO get items clean. My most recent experience involved use of a coupon from the Smart Shopper (or some similar coupon magazine.) My wife went to drop off my suits and ties and presented the coupon. She was informed that the coupon wouldn't be valid until the next day, so she held off on dropping them off. (Seriously! You can't pro rate 1 day???) A week later she dropped off the garments but forgot the coupon. When I went in to pick up (to their credit, my items were done on time), I apologized that I forgot my coupon and asked at the counter if they could help me out. I was curtly informed that the best she could do was give me $5 off (my forgotten coupon would have saved me over $15) and that this was the one and only time they would "do this for me." And it was all said as if they were inconvenienced and doing me a huge favor. I've used very good cleaners in both the Bay Area and Portland all of which have provided much better customer service and at much better rates. As a fellow local business owner I know what good help costs. For what Mirror Pond charges, maybe they should train more personable employees, spend less on printing easy to lose coupons and not worry so much about having a dramatic garment conveyor in their window wall. read more

I've using this service for 9 years, today was my last time after they continually rip people off. Don't get fooled by their coupons because they are not honored. When they charge you $6.26 for a 100% cotton long sleeve shirt to be laundered with out any reason for the over charge they are special. I've been going to Mirror Pond Cleaners for 13 years now and the service has always been great. Tonight I was running late to pickup my dry cleaning and had a 6 am flight the next day. I called mirror pond at 7:05 pm and the person who answered said they were closed but without hesitation they would wait for me to come by and pick up my clothes. As you may have noticed in a couple of my reviews - I had a wedding dress disaster the afternoon before my wedding. I thought I could save a few dollars, and took my wedding dress to be pressed at another cleaner in Bend. I picked the dress up at 3:00p the day before the wedding and there was a huge black grease stain along the neckline of my natural silk wedding dress. Even worse, the cleaner said they couldn't work on the stain until the next day (the day of my wedding!). I panicked, obviously, and called Mirror Pond to see if they could start working on the stain immediately. It was 3:30 in the afternoon right before a holiday weekend, so I knew it was a long shot. Chad was awesome and told me he could help right away. We brought the dress in and he worked on it immediately. Unfortunately, the black, carbon based grease stain was impossible to remove, but they connected me with Jeani of Jeani's Alterations who was able to save the day. Even more ridiculous, Chad refused to accept payment because they hadn't been able to remove the stain and in consideration of all the drama we'd been through. Such friendly service! Went here for the first time and forgot to show my coupon when I dropped my comforter off. The lady said normally you have to show the coupon when you bring your item in but that she would honor the $2 off coupon for me, and ended up giving me an ever better deal! She gave me 15% off! I'm giving one star because I can't give less than one star which is what this places deserves . My husband brought in a bunch of shirts to be laundered and was quoted $2.50 for laundry and light starch. When we went to pick up the items yesterday we were told several of the shirts didn't fit on their machines which I doubt is true since they are all structured the same. They said they had to hand press them so they charged us 3x as much per shirt!!! So instead of $2.43 they were almost $7. The problem is if you're going to charge someone 60% more than you said you would then you should call them. They refused to adjust it and refused to give us a discount for acting in bad faith and for fraudulent practices. We will be disputing our credit card charge for this and let the management or owners explain their actions to the credit card company. read more

I will give a 2 star for how fast they are and the cleaning job is average. I had a mind boggling experience when I went to pick up my husband's clothes there. One of the female workers there was down right rude and yelled at me as I went out the door. I called the manager and reported this to him. I think she needs to be fired. I wouldn't take my dog blankets there after that. Consumer beware. I also noticed their pressing isn't very good. Got home and some of my linen was wrinkled. read more

LOST MY SHIRTS I recently took a laundry bag of at least fifteen shirts to be laundered and pressed. I went back last week to drop off a second bag of fifteen shirts and pick up my earlier order. I was told that they had no shirts for me nor any record of dropping any, their records indicated that my last visit was back in February. I have been using their service for about twelve years with very satisfactory results and very pleased with staff's customer service. Super disappointed with the miscommunication of this place. I was recently married and figured I should get my dress dry-cleaned and put in some sort of container for storage. When I asked about pricing at the front desk, she gave me a couple different options: either put in a cardboard box for $50, or a more expensive option that supposedly preserved it longer. My dress isn't fancy folks, it's a plain floor length dress, thin fabric, long sleeves, no embellishments or tool. I told her I'd choose the lesser expensive option, the box. Two weeks later when picking up my dress, the total comes out to $218. Clearly shocked, I assumed she got the price wrong. But no, instead I was told that it was just the BOX that was $50, PLUS the cleaning charge of $168. Side note, I had my dress dry cleaned here prior to our elopement for $25. The front desk failed to mention that the $50 wedding dress fee did NOT include any sort of cleaning, let alone the cost difference between a traditional dry cleaning charge vs. a $168 cleaning. Mirror Pond Cleaners is the antithesis of a good business. I took a coupon in when I picked up my 5 dress shirts and they would not honor it, stating that they "could not change the billed amount in their computers." Finding that excuse to be laughable, I asked the smug employee if losing my business was worth the 4 dollars the (apparently worthless) coupon would have saved me, and she simply stated that there was nothing she could do (or would do, that is). Not only did I feel like this idiot could care less about my business, but it seemed that I was inconveniencing her by my using their company and giving them my money. So I left explaining to her that I would not be back, witnessed her shrug with indifference, and went along my way. When I got home, I found that all 5 of the shirts I brought in had been very poorly ironed, having a number unnatural creases on the backs of each and every shirt, going every direction. So after re-ironing my shirts, I decided to write this to warn anyone else who thinks the convenient location of this business would be worth their time and money. DON'T take your business here...unless you want to be treated like crap and pay too much for something you'll have to re-do in the end. I hate seeing people go out of business, but I feel like this company doing so would be a positive for the city. They don't deserve a (1) star. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE!! I took in a $125. Polo and got back something that had what appeared to be patches of starch or some other synthetic all over the shirt. When I presented the issue to the them they immediately took the defensive and said "were not responsible for what's in your pants". THIS IS A SHIRT I told her. Then after she consulted her manager, the best response I got was "sorry, we can try to get it out but there are no guarantees." ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. So I have been using this cleaner for the past 8 to 10 years now cloths always came back clean, one time they lost a shirt and they more than made up for it. In more recent years they have been doing a great advertisement in the Bend Smart Shopper and unfortunately the last 6 times have been very disappointing; coupon 1 (5 shirts 4.99), I didn't have the correct dress shirts ok, coupon 2 (5 shirts 4.99) I brought in 9 shirts hoping to get 5 of the correct dress shirts Nope I only could come up with 3, ok today smart Shopper coupon attempt number 3, (5 items $5 off, I bring in 5 items and You guessed it not the correct 5 items no coupon. The frustrating thing is the expectation they have created and no longer live up to it. My recommendation is don't bother with coupon side of things because (even though it's not stated) you won't have the correct items at that discount, just suck it up and pay full price read more

Very friendly staff, great same day service. I have used them for all my dry cleaning for about a year and they have never disappointed.

Recently there was a mix up with a piece of laundry. I notified Chad at MPC immediately and he started working overtime to try and get my piece back. The customer who had received mine didn't return any phone calls to MPC so after checking prices they quickly issued a check for the full value. They were gracious, sympathetic and very apologetic. I have had lost things with other cleaners over the years but none of them were as professional as MPC. They have earned my loyalty! read more

I brought in 6 armrest covers from my couches just to pressed. The girl taking the order was very unpleasant and was not interested in any conversation. When I picked them up and the bill was about $48, I said these were just to be pressed. She, in a nasty voice said that is just for pressing. This is a hard review to write because I want to support this local business I have been using for almost 7 years. But sadly I have to say they are just not showing to be that good anymore. One, not sure why someone would say it is a super easy location, not so much. Secondly, as for coupons what a joke, I agree with others on there comments, they are sometimes ridiculous and petty on the coupons. I find it interesting after using the smart shopper coupon for this long that there is never a break down of how the 30% is taken off. Thirdly, I had a cardigan lost, but the very rude women said never do we lose clothing.. umm where did my cardigan go? Fourth, I have just now again found my clothes were not cleaned, this is not the first time, crusted food on my blouse and skirt. And how kind, they will redo for free, ugh! This is so disappointing and now ready to find a new cleaners. This is a small town and people talk and talk they will. If you want to continue supporting this business that is your prerogative but pay close attention to what you bring in, and look at your clothes you have picked up and if they look and smell clean. As well, pay attention to the discounts and never may you forget a coupon or ask how the discount is broken down. So very disappointing Mirror Pond Cleaners!!! Brought my wedding dress here over two weeks in advance of my wedding. On their suggestion they said I should pick it up two nights before my wedding so it would be pressed and ready to go. That sounded like a good idea until I showed up and it was not ready as promised. The ladies at the counter did not apologize or explain why it wasn't ready just said they were still working on it and I could get it after 5pm the night before my wedding! As if that was okay, I had a rehearsal dinner to plan and all my family was coming into town, and since they were already late it was stressful to think they might not have it done by the next night either. The ladies at the front desk were not helpful, not apologetic and not reassuring at all. My husband had to call to speak to the manager in the morning and then I was able to pick it up by 10am, but not after stressing about it all night, and then of course I had to make a special trip to get it the day before my wedding! They gave me half off but would have much rather paid full price and had the service done as promised. We trusted them with something very important and they could not deliver service as promised, we should not have had to pay at all. Certainly will not be coming here for their wedding dress preservation service, or any further service, and would not trust them with anything important. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...I usually do not post reviews and can let things slide. However, after two horrible experiences with the same employee within 48 hours, a review is necessary. I dropped off my husband's clothes on Saturday, just before 12 noon and was told they would be ready after 5pm. We needed the clothes for a Monday departure of a week-long business trip. I went to pick up the clothes and it was just 6pm. When I got to the door, the "Open" sign was still on and my watch read 6:01pm. The employee behind the counter shouted to me they were closed as the doors were already locked. Talk about airing on the side of the customer... I understand its Saturday night, 6:00pm and you're over it. But to shout from behind the counter with the "Open" sign glowing on, it felt so disrespectful. Leaving a little frustrated, I was soon over it and would pick the clothes up Monday before my husband left for the airport. I had to leave work to run the errand this morning. When I get there, the SAME employee told me the clothes would not be ready until tonight after 5pm. Pretty frustrated, I asked why they wouldn't be ready until tonight? The employee stated that I dropped off the clothes at 12:06pm on Saturday and anything after 12:00noon is not the same day service. SERIOUSLY! I was furious, especially because I was first told after 5pm on Saturday and here is was Monday and the clothes were not going to be ready because I dropped them off 6 minutes after the cut off? What type of service are you providing here...it's definitely not customer service that's for sure! After I explained that I was told that I could pick up my items on Saturday, the employee argued semantics with me!!! I asked her to check to see if the clothes might be done (she didn't even bother to offer, she just told me they weren't going to be ready until tonight after 5pm). After about 1 minute, she came back with all 8 pieces complete and ready for pick-up. I am happy the clothes were ready but left extremely frustrated and ultimately disappointed in the horrible service I received from the same employee. I will not be back and this is a shame considering I have been a loyal customer to Mirror Pond Cleaners, even with their prices being the highest in town. read more
