We went to the one in Aiken. Once you get the hang of ordering, the food is superior. Outstanding. A++++

Good news first, the whole chicken wings are amazing, I would definitely get these again. I'm looking forward to trying the fish and oysters next. The general tso's chicken was cooked perfectly... crispy batter and tender chicken however was bland and no type of heat... actually just salty. The orange chicken was pretty much the same, perfectly cooked just no flavor profile, just sweet. Service: Service was very good, we were greeted at the counter and thanked for visiting. Ambiance: Mabel everywhere, brand new restaurants just opened recently. Very clean and orderly dining area . The bench seating in the dining area are not made for comfort (wooden) and sit very low however a nice establishment.

Skeptical at first because of the poor reviews, but the medium rare steak came out the way requested, the chicken and fried rice weren't overly seasoned, so it wasn't too salty. The portions are not bad for a $20 meal, left me content. They also have a lunch special, something definitely worth taking advantage of since the price cuts are significant. Plenty of tables for dining in, but I sat in one while waiting for my order and the seats were pretty low compared to the height of the table, so I personally would've not enjoyed eating my meal there. Once your order is placed, there are chefs in the back utilizing two grills to make everything from scratch. Overall enjoyed my to go experience and will be back for the lunch special.

I have ate her twice, and both times I did not enjoy my entree. I ordered the honey chicken with fried rice. To be honest, it lacked flavor, both the rice and the chicken. The Brussels sprouts were good as well as the spring rolls and the crab rangoons. If I return, I would consider trying the Hong Kong ribs.

They have quite a few things on the menu that I can eat, so excited about that. I started off with a Thai Lemongrass margarita. The space was very inviting, there are multiple lucky cats along the wall as you enter, it gives me a hipster vibe. The music is upbeat. It was made just right. We started off with vegetarian spring rolls, which were not fried too hard, they were fried just right and were super light crispy and they came with a sweet, slightly spicy sauce. Something I would say, resembles the feeling of "sweet heat " I ordered the coconut curry. The sauce on it was well seasoned, not too thick . The noodles were undercooked, a little bit before al dente. I had to focus on chewing them. I wanted to try tofu dumplings, but they were unavailable, so I had the miso soup and I was pleasantly surprised. It was so flavorful, I have no complaints. I would come back 1000 times just to have the miso soup. I'm told the Berry domain is very berry and very strong... my sister was happy with her drink and ordered a second.

The atmosphere was amazing, a cozy quaint spot in a what seemed to be a great part of the city. The bar was nice and overall decor of the restaurant was eclectic without feeling overdone. Our server (I believe her name was Havvy), was pleasant as well. We started with the crab rangoons and spring rolls. The crab rangoons were a 10/10, and the spring rolls were solid as well. I'd definitely order both again. I ordered the pad kapow, which is my go-to dish I like to start with at any new Thai restaurant. The presentation of the rice was really cute and the dish itself was rich and full of flavor. My husband ordered the pineapple fried rice with beef, it was phenomenal, just as flavorful and satisfying. We ordered cocktails as well, which were made perfectly, and since it was our anniversary, we treated ourself to the coconut cake. After the first bite, I wasn't sure about the cake, but by the second bite I was SOLD. If you're looking for a laidback, non-pretentious spot to enjoy a great meal, cocktails or even just a small bite, I definitely recommend.

Pros: - Fair prices (it is considered "fancier") - Fun cocktails - Food was great - Seating was nice and spaced out (not super close to anyone) - Cons: - Food Menu was typical for Thai I'd overall recommend KAO. It's in a great location for downtown (super close to the beginning of mainstreet) and it's a fun little date night. I had the drunken noodles with chicken and my date had shrimp/chicken padthai. I came here Saturday at 1 with my daughter and was meeting a friend. We were seated immediately and staff were kind. They had shah paneer here which is one of my favs so off course I had to get that, I also got an order of the butter paneer masala and out of those two I actually loved the buttered paneer masala more here though both were amazing. I also placed an order of the salt and pepper mushrooms, garlic and cheese naan and off course some mango lassi. Everything was delicious and friendly quick service. My only complaint was as we wer finishing our meal I really started smelling cigarettes coming through the vent which thankfully we were finishing up but the smell was not pleasant at all. My 6 year old devoured the food as well. We'll for sure be back.
