The trailer quality is ok. Had a defect on the walk-in door. They didn't put any adhesive on the front end of it. The result was the tin caught in the wind and ripped back. Turned in a claim on Sept. 5, 2025. First got the runaround, then Gabra quit taking calls or answering emails. Now, April 10, 2026, the place they sent me won't repair it. TERRIBLE customer service. Way to stand behind your product. I'd pay a little more for a better quality trailer and customer service in the future! read more

I purchased a Mirage Extreme Sport trailer new in the fall of 2018. I ordered it with an escape door, two fuel doors, heater, etrack in the floor and two 15 gallon tongue mounted propane tanks. From day one this trailer has been nothing but junk. Stripped out screws inside and out, I have to replace screws every time I pull it because they just fall out. The first time I ever pulled it in snow, when I opened it up there was more snow inside the trailer than there was outside. I had to seal the floor from underneath and install plywood in places where the inside sheathing covered up spots where the floor didn't go all the way and meet the walls. The propane tank carrier were held on with only two lag bolts, one was stripped out and the other kept coming loose. The tanks almost fell off one trip. I just spent two days rebuilding the cabinet that the furnace was installed in because it was about to fall down from the sealing. When I took all the aluminum off the sides and front I discovered the furnace was held in by only one torx head screw. That screw was stripped out and the furnace was just floating around in the cabinet. There are four provisions for bolting the furnace down securely but they thought one screw would be sufficient! The cabinet was held to the wall with two lag screws in one stud, It was held to the ceiling to two roof bows with one lag screw in each roof bow. One screw was stripped out and the other was about to come out. The outside air intake and exhaust vent was held on with 6 torx screws into the outside skin only, no backing behind the skin and all six screws were stripped out and loose. I have had to rewire all the brakes as they did not do a good job in routing and securing the harness and snow and ice accumulation eventually broke all the wires going to the hubs and I was down to one working brake. When while it was still in warranty I called the factory to tell them how unhappy I was with the quality of the trailer and I was told that I could bring it to Nampa ID and they would take care of it. I said you can have it shipped there and back to me and they said I would have to bring it to them, 800 miles away! I have done more work to this trailer in the 8 years I have owned it than I have done to my 2002 Cargo Mate trailer that I bought used in 2008! Mirage trailers are overpriced garbage wagons, and I would never recommend anything they build to anyone! read more

Worst customer service ever and totally defective product. Do not buy a Mirage/TNT trailer! I went back and forth with Joe Olvera in customer service because Rob Swikert the owner refused to talk to me about the defective product that I bought. This trailer was manufactured 80 days ago. I noticed after I purchased it the entire frame is riddled with rust and squeaks so bad that it's embarrassing to drive. The interior dome light is not energized either and the wires going back to the connecting block are dead. This is the poorest craftsmanship I have ever seen. I've spoken with about a dozen friends who have cargo trailers and they all agreed that this is not normal and totally unacceptable. Joe Olvera told me that they don't warranty paint and that a noisy trailer is something I should live with and the noise will eventually go away, but they don't know when. I've got 400 miles on this thing and it sounds flat out embarassing when pulling up to a customer's site. I work with the federal government and provide first responder services outdoors. So everyone sees, and now hears, when I arrive. Joe also said that my "expectations are too high" and that I shouldn't expect a brand new trailer to look new, be rust free, and not make a terrible squeaking noise when driving down the street. They hide behind their crappy warranty which basically covers nothing. They offered that if I drive 850 miles each way they would put it on a lift and hit the frame with spray paint. That's right, 27 hours round trip, plus, gas, food, hotel, and miles on my SUV so they can spray paint it. This place is a joke and they make the lowest quality products. The plywood they say is high quality but it's really the low grade CDX. There are knots and holes everythwhere and it's super flimsy. The sheet on the ramp door is chipping off and I'm going to have to refinsh the entire interior. Every conversation went like this: ME - This product does not look or act new and it was manufactured 80 days ago. How can you not stand by your product and workmanship? Joe - Our warranty doesn't cover any of your issues less the faulty electrical which we have no resources to repair so troubleshoot it yourself and find someone local to do the work. It's normal for a trailer to have rust and make a ton of noise. I drive a rusty trailer so deal with it. UPDATE: I finally spoke with Rob Swikert the owner after over a month of going back and forth with Joe. He gave me the same lip service. He said I should accept that the entire frame is rusted and it sounds crazy to drive. He passed it off saying that the trailer will last longer than my kids will be on this earth so it's okay. Rob from Mirage will probably respond to this review saying that he gave me the opportunity to have it painted and that none of this is under warranty, which it true. He also said that the trailer is fine because it rolls, which is also true, the trailer rolls. Their warranty is crap and offering to spray paint over rust . It needs to be sanded or sand blasted then repainted with an enamel. Poor ownership, poor quality of work, and poor customer service. I see no reason why anyone should purchase a Mirage/TNT trailer except for the fact that it looks great on the outside. I've added a side by side comparison with my friend's 14 year old cargo trailer that has been kept outside by the beach and my 80 day old Mirage trailer. Bought a 6'x12' single axle utility trailer over a year ago now, this little black beauty works great, pulls well and handles most of the demand I put on it, two issues have come up with this trailer 1- screws on the drop down rear ramp door continually come loose depending on foot traffic, causing the decking to pop while walking on the door. (I use said trailer for general construction purposes, lots of in and out to grab tools) 2- left rear blinker quit about a week after purchase ( found a bad splice in the wire, probably happened during construction of the unit) All said, would purchase again, but next time spend a little extra for the dual axle, and more room. read more

Worst customer service ever. Would not recommend dealing with these people. None can do anything except Joe, and he has no idea what customer service even looks like. He lied about trying to call me, after 24 hours. Then when I got in touch with him, he was so busy that he left me on hold for more than 20 minutes, and claimed that other calls had come in before mine so he needed to take care of them first. Maybe if they shipped the parts that were ordered the phone would not be so busy. If you have any other choice, do not deal with this place for parts. Mirage Trailers (the Company) are utterly despicable. I purchased a brand new trailer from a dealer, and during our inspection we found that one of the rear doors was not square, the back of the trailer had literally been forced to close (the upper right corner of the door was not in the actual door frame and thus the door was bent closed). The dealers tech was able to remount the door so that it fit into the frame, but then the doors would not close properly, unless you closed them both at the same time and kind of forced them closed together. There was a bit of water damage on the door in question due to the way it was installed (you could see daylight through the corner). The dealer was great however, said Mirage would just replace the doors and we would be good to go. So I went ahead and purchased the trailer, and then started to wait for the new door/doors to arrive. Instead of doors, I received an extremely hostile phone call from Joe at Mirage who said they only way they would warranty the trailer was if I drove it to their headquarters (thousands of miles away). Needless to say, the dealer got involved, Mirage didn't believe the dealer and had us take it to another dealer, who then said the exact same thing, Mirage still refused to do anything. Finally my dealer that I purchased the trailer from, just took the trailer back (this is now over a year later), and I got a trailer from a different manufacturer which is great. Stay away from Mirage, they will NOT backup their product, and they are Horrible people in general. Rude, Disrespectful, Hostile, Arrogant, I could go on. read more

BEST TRAILER i have ever owned. I purchased a black out 2017 Mirage TNT. I pull it 1500 miles round trip through the mountains with a 3/4-ton GMC diesel. Pulls like a champ. The engineering is top notch. I damaged the steel along with a 9-item punch list on the trailer, called Mirage, scheduled an appointment. They knocked it out from 6:30 AM and was rolling by 4PM SAME DAY. Plus, they did not charge me on quite a few of the items. They were smaller things, however, WHO DOES THIS IN TODAY'S world? I brought up for years problems with their trailers and was repeatedly told it's just a trailer who cares. They design them to fail right after warranty wears out. Junk trailer, I won't even post pictures here, too many to show the defects, poor welds, leaks water in many places, screws missing the metal, tie down bolts missed the backing plate, will pull thru if used, outside screws missed the frame and are falling out, some running lights do not work and in order to repair them must remove the plywood to get inside wall, well that is near impossible with the crap screws that are not screws after all just coarse nails shot into the steel frame, you must destroy the walls to remove, then the wiring is connected with the junk connectors, replaced with good ones and boom lights work and when inside walls found that they painted the upper and lower parts of frame bu not middle 6 feet of frame, WTF and now all frames are rusting, talk about cheap and F*&^king LAZY company, extra 10 min would have made a big difference, Do not buy Mirage Trailers, just JUNK. read more

Purchased a Mirage gooseneck for my non profit children's program for disadvantaged children in 2015. There were 16 MAJOR catastrophic failures that took place with this unit between then and now happening roughly 4 months apart. Roof detachment, front and rear skin separation, electrical shorts, tire issues, leaks, door cable failure, not as ordered, stripped structure bolts, reflective tape failure, lift jack failure, etc causing closure of our kids program permanently due to inability to use the unit with only 300 miles on it. Company refused to acknowledge the long history of this lemon, sighting 1 yr. warranty only. They sent occasional parts but I invested over $1000.00 & 122 hours to fix some of their mess. Warranty said to me; it must have been built on a Friday when everyone wanted to go home and didn't care. Their own designer/engineer was on his way to see my trailer when the $20,000.00 new toy hauler he was towing ripped apart on the highway sending him back home. He sent me an email telling me. Customer service sucks and they don't handle problems with compassion. Had to contact parts manuf.on my own. Money is all they care about and now thousands of kids a month will not get our program any longer and I have a 15 thousand dollar (new), piece of 29 foot junk that is unusable sitting in my driveway that kids, adults, businesses, my family and I donated funds to buy over 15 yrs. of saving. This company only cares about itself and I will never buy another item from them and if I were you I would stay as far away from Mirage trailers as I could. It's incredibly sad that American equipment that is supposed to be the best in the world is this worthless. Parents are are even afraid to let their kids ride in our towing vehicle because of the problems. Overall not a bad trailer. Pulls nice, Lots of room and functionality. Good roof. My biggest beef is mostly cosmetic, but still. The Pros: Good overall value good axels, good lighting and wiring. Very good looking trailer inside and out. The Cons: -The graphics on the blackout start peeling at the edges after just a few trips and washings. it appears that a better, higher quality vinyl material would solve what I'm seeing. Mirage gets the graphics done by a third party, so they are not interested in covering that. -Tongue is too short. Mirage offers a 6" longer tongue for additional money. They do not tell you that if you do not get the extension, you cannot open your tailgate. -Propane tank cover fairly well disintegrated in the first few months of use. Mirage: "ya, you'll have that" -Black roof nose cone faded in first 3 months. Mirage: "ya, you'll have that, just have a body shop repaint it." -Don't believe when they say the "poly-bead flooring resists carbides" Although it is a great floor, it gets cut up rather quickly with carbides. I put super glides throughout after second trip. -I bought this as a screw-less skin, but when one of the exterior panels started to lift, Mirage sent me a bag of screws and said good luck. -Exterior caulking lifts and needs replaced by second year. This may be just a maintenance issue found in any trailer, not just mirage, but be ready to do it at least every other year if not yearly. -Screws loosen constantly. Almost every trip, I tighten or replace a half dozen screws on the external trim. Tip: replace in same hole with some silicone or some type of gasket maker material. Again, this may not be a Mirage specific issue. Do I recommend this trailer? Mostly, with a few cautionary notes. Would I buy this trailer again? Probably try a different brand next time. read more

I've been shopping for a trailer online for months.....after reading a few negative reviews, I initially avoided Mirage Trailers in Nampa....so I visited 2 competitors first. The first competitor (TrailersPlus) I walked in READY to buy, and received the WORST customer service. I waited for an hour for help. I asked about a special order build price, and 2 weeks later, I have still NOT received my build quote. Hot Deals N Wheels in Garden City, was helpful, I received answers RIGHT ON THE SPOT. I left with a positive opinion, that I might return and do business with them. Then, with reluctance, I visited MEI Trailer Sales in Nampa. I figured, I'd just go, and just get them crossed off my list. I was greeted by Nathan Newman. He was very professional, and answered 2 hours of my questions! We looked at several trailers, he showed me different options, and we sat down and priced out a few different build options. He told me, the lead time for a build to order is approx 3 weeks (where everyone else was 6~8 weeks). He told me, he would recommend ordering the trailer, and that way I can get it the way that I want. I was very, very tempted. If it were not for my birthday the day before.....I probably would have ordered my trailer. But, I wanted to take one home THAT same afternoon! I estimate 6~8 other trailers were picked up during that time frame! What a busy place! Seriously, MORE trailers were picked up (delivered) in that 2 hour window, than the total number reviews on Google! I am betting, that if all the happy customers wrote reviews, their rating would be near 5 stars. I'll give them my 5 star rating. I am NOT an easy person to please. If your shopping for a trailer, give a call to Nathan Newman, or Dave Wegley. What I enjoyed the most from this buying experience, was the care that I received. I was treated with professional respect, like my business was actually important, the entire time I was at the lot. That, earned my business on the spot. The trailer I purchased, is an EPO 6x12 Single. It is an "Entry Level" trailer. I have the inside paneling removed so I can add insulation, windows, and more lighting. I have to say, that I like the build quality. I picked up the windows and additional parts from Mirageinc. They are actually just down the street from the Retail Lot. While there, Crissy (beautiful gal with a brilliant smile) got me in touch with Matthew Jonak. Matthew was Very Helpful in showing me the parts I needed. We popped inside the shop to look at an install. WOW! What a BUSY shop. I encourage anyone in the market, to stop by and see these being built! A Local product, is good for the Local Economy! Knowing this, I might just buy another trailer! A little bit about myself....I've lived in Idaho for the past 8 years. I moved here bringing out of state money. I've invested over $1M into the local real estate market. None of this personal information was ever disclosed to any of the sales staff helping me. My little modest 6x12 single axle entry level trailer (my first purchase with MEI and Mirage) and my subsequent window parts purchase, was treated no differently than if I were a repeat customer buying a Top of the line $20K + toy. These people, will take care of you! Even the new guy, Cory, was hard at work doing grunt work, running all over the place. Everyone was always pleasant to speak to. I wonder.....if those few bad reviews were posted by those people that just cannot be satisfied if it hit them on the ass? My experience with this company just keeps getting better! I bought a 10K 18 foot flat deck car trailer from TNT / Mirage Trailers (http://www.miragetrailers.com). The very first time the trailer was loaded it bent. I called and reported this to the manufacturer. They asked for photos to be emailed. I did so, and waited a week or two and had to call them back myself. When the person answered he said "Your the guy with the gooseneck trailer that bent... right?" This instantly told me that they are dealing with multiple defective trailers because I was not the guy with the gooseneck trailer. After communicating this to the representative he quickly responded with "I loaded it incorrectly, it's not covered under warranty". This caught me off guard and I thought that seemed like a catch phrase that this manufacturer was using to deny warranty claims. Especially because we had not even discussed loading or loading techniques at this point. I did load the trailer properly and informed the manufacturer of this and they are unwilling to do the right thing and fix or replace the defective product. I strongly do NOT recommend buying a trailer from this manufacturer. If anyone else has had similar issues with TNT or Mirage Trailers, please contact me. There might be an opportunity for a class action lawsuit. I am in the process of civil litigation against TNT / Mirage. No one wants to go through this so please, please consider more reputable trailer brands such as Big Tex, PJ Trailers, Carson Trailers, Haulmark, CargoMate, etc. read more

Have owned a Mirage trailer for 4 years. This year I noticed rotting metal spots on the 3 doors. I called Mirage and they informed me that it was caused by electrolysis of the different metals that they used in the doors. They said that they know of the problem, but to have built the doors properly would have cost them a few dollars more, so they built them to poor quality standards. Now, they offered to fix them if I drive the trailer 1200 miles to their factory, or they will sell me new doors for half of the original trailer cost. I would look for a conscientious, honest, reliable manufacturer that builds to good quality control standards. Who knows where else they cut corners on this trailer. Hopefully the axles won't fall off. read more
