Do NOT go here! I brought my very expensive, irreplaceable mother of the bride dress here based on all the very favorable ratings on YELP. I had 3 minor alterations that needed to be done. The silk sheath had a small hole on the chest that I wanted repaired. I told Gwen EMPHATICALLY that I did NOT want the hole stitched as it would make it much more noticeable. I asked her to fuse a piece of the silk fabric (which I supplied) to the back of the hole. I stressed to Gwen that this was a very important dress to me. Gwen assured me she could do this and she would take good care of my dress. At no time did I see Gwen take any notes about how I wanted the hole fixed and because of this I actually called Gwen a few weeks later to emphasize it again. Yesterday I came to pick up my dress to find that the hole had been stitched together, exactly what I asked her NOT to do! I reminded her that this was not what we had discussed, she said she could take out the stitching and repair it the way I had asked but it would "probably look worse". At this point I lost total confidence that Gwen could fix this and was worried that it in fact it would look worse. Gwen did not apologize, she said no one would see the repair, and she did not offer me a discount even though she knew I was very upset. Her only reply was that she forgot. The other two alterations were done properly but they do not in anyway make up for my disappointment. read more

I highly recommend this tailor. I have a very unique and one-of-a-kind wedding dress that I needed altered. Being new in town, I didn't have a tailor that I had a history with and I was pretty nervous about letting just anyone alter my dress! I chose this shop based on the yelp reviews and, upon meeting the owner, Gwen, my nerves were immediately calmed. Because my dress ended up being very difficult to work with, the alteration ended up taking several weeks and I made a handful of visits to try my dress on during the process. This may be seen as an inconvenience to some, but I feel that this shows how careful and thoughtful Gwen was about what she was doing. I would rather make several visits over a period of time than have someone going rogue with the scissors on a sentimental piece of clothing. During each visit, she would go over options with me and we would make a decision together about what was best. The end result is stunning and looks exactly how I wanted it to look. Recently brought a suit in to be altered a bit. Had the pants hymned, the waist taken in, and my jacket sleeves shortened for right at $60.00. Gwen was really nice and super helpful. Got my suit back in perfect condition and the alterations were perfect. Her store was a bit hard to find as it is tucked in the back of the shopping center it's located in, but the store is worth looking for. I've been to several tailors over the years, and Miracle Works is by far my favorite. I've had half a dozen things tailored with them, and each item has come back looking like it had been made to fit me at the factory. What makes them really stand out, however, is their customer service. Just to give an anecdote, I brought them a leather jacket that needed a new zipper. Miracle Works spent weeks finding me the exact right zipper, and even ordered me a second one when the first one didn't quite match the jacket. And when I got the jacket back, an ugly stain on the jacket had magically disappeared without any charge or mention from them. Truly excellent customer service. read more
