Dang is skilled and efficient, but to me, way overpriced. I absolutely want to pay people a fair price for the time and labor, but hemming 4 inches off a dress (floor length with a slit) cost more than the dress itself. For a basic alteration, I felt like I paid way too much, but you don't know the price until after the garment is pinned and chalked. Also, fair warning- they are cash or check only. read more

I've used Dang's several times and the work is always very good. The store owner Mrs. Dang can be abrupt but I don't take it personally. She's extremely busy and English is her second language. I've read other reviews commenting on how "rude " she is but I take it more as she's trying to get the order completed and her work done. Give her a week or two for your alterations to be completed. read more

Tucked back in the far corner of a strip mall populated by Wal-Mart drivers is Dang's Alterations. I've used Dang twice to hem two dresses and a pair of pants. I have used Dang's a few times for hemming pants. They have always done a wonderful job with my pants. The customer service could be just a little better but as long as they do a good job, I really don't care. Their prices are extremely affordable also. They don't take debit cards. That kinda was an upset to me. They only accept cash or check. The lack of customer service and the inability to pay by debit card were the reasons that I didn't give it 5 stars. read more

I had a pair of jeans that were just a hair too long and wide at the ankle altered, and everything went really well. I'd never had anything altered before, and thus didn't really have a great idea of exactly what I wanted or the numbers or any of that, but I tried them on, had them pinned, and left within 5 minutes, with the alterations being ready a week later. The jeans were great, fit great, and even used the exact same color thread the jeans had on them in the first place. The price was also very reasonable, especially considering the turnaround time and result. I'm definitely going to use them again for all my alterations, but you should know that they only take cash or check. This isn't a huge problem seeing as you pay when you pick up your clothes, so you have some time to make it to an ATM. A lot of the reasons for the negative reviews are centered around the lady who runs the place or the price, but seeing as the price was upfront and fair and the lady was kind and helpful I can't see any issue myself. The other people I was in the store with also seemed happy and pleased with the service and the alterations. At the end of the day it's a tailoring shop that does good, fairly priced tailoring. I had a good experience at Dang's, I took a bridesmaid dress there that needed to be altered three days before the wedding. It also needed a bustle at the back, which I asked the seamstress for advice on because I was unsure of how it should look. She said she would take care of it and I left it in her hands, hoping she would know what she was doing. The day of the wedding, as the bridesmaids and I were comparing how our bustles looked, I got the most compliments on mine because of how well-done and sleek it looked. Confirmation that she knew what she was doing for sure! Overall, it was a job well done with quick turnover and reasonably priced... can't ask for more than that! read more

HIGH PRICED. I would not recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of places that will do what you ask for a decent price. They do not estimate prices in advance and then when you come to pick up, they hit you with the huge price tag. I paid more in SIMPLE alterations than I did for my item itself. Then when I asked about the high pricing they both got mad and stared yelling about how "fair" they are. If you have to keep telling someone how "fair" your establishment is, then you probably need to re-evaluate your definition of "fair." read more

Dang Alterations seems expensive. I took a simple dress that had a lining in it to them and was floored when I picked it up and the cost was $35. I have not had anything altered in a while, but I thought this was high. This is the first and last time I will use them. Lesson learned, ask for a price beforehand. read more
