The quality of the work itself was equally disappointing. Windows were left with visible smears and streaking, particularly around the edges, while handprints and residue were left on the building's exterior metal panels without being cleaned. The crew also ignored management's instructions regarding which private terraces they were permitted to access. More seriously, several coping caps around the property were dented during the job, and part of a brise-soleil was damaged after workers attempted to suspend ropes from it. The company later sent someone to make repairs, but the workmanship was poor. Some of the original boards were simply wedged back into place and fell out again within two days. Replacing seven small boards took nearly a week, and the replacement wood did not match the existing material or finish. Overall, the experience suggested a company cutting corners at nearly every stage, from workmanship to supervision to repairs.
