It's a beautiful restaurant, they cover a wide area within the hotel, including a lounge area, a more cocktail bar area, and a full restaurant set up. The beauty? They cover anything you might want. The downside? They're busy and usually severely behind schedule. I've been with great, consistent staff and I've been and left after 20 minutes of no check in. It can be hit or miss, but when it hits? It hits. They also provide the food that you order up to your room, which is probably my favorite part. Hotels rarely offer the same great menu to your room and so I always know when I've had a long workday that I can just get the same great dinner and lounge in bed after and avoid people. They also are great at getting breakfast to your door early, which makes trips to Montreal so much easier, especially if you're going for work. They always have a great selection of drinks, full bar so they offer everything, and the bartenders has been the same for at least a couple years. They're really nice. They do a good job. Ask for the food, it is always good, and the part I love is that they're very good about allergies when you mention it to them. They offer gluten-free bread and they change out ingredients. I've never had a bad meal or snack. So even when sometimes the weight is too long I know I'll be back another day and I'll have something great.

Near here is Rue Crescent, which is a restaurant street mimicking St.-Denis and has those outdoor tables on platforms that jut out into the street. Being near McGill and Concordia Universities, the area has a huge contingent of cool kids and not that dispersed of a demographic. That's probably why I've never eaten on Rue Crescent ... until yet. I'm not a cool kid and never have been. I looked for casual grub on my phone and found Le Warehouse. I also glanced at the menu. It seemed like I stumbled on fish and chips at an opportune moment when they were priced on special. I think of this as the classic dish of the British Isles and, even though I have none of this heritage, it's a dish I very much like and order often. The quality always ranges from 3 to 5, so it's also reliable. The fish and chips platter was very good. Rather than being several pieces, it was a very large piece of cod. For the value received, I was not complaining. The place looks like so many other taverns in Montreal. I was happy to be eating inside. I was surprised to see people eating outside on the street platforms when it was humid and miserable that day. The service did the job, but it was a little nondescript. Eventually, a different waitress brought my food after everyone else had already finished eating. By then, I told her I no longer wanted it because the entire dining experience had been ruined. The food looked like it had been thrown together at the last minute, and no one offered a sincere apology or took responsibility for what happened. What made the experience even worse was that my original waitress largely ignored me throughout the ordeal. There was no communication, no concern for the unreasonable delay, and no effort to make things right. As the only Black male in my group, I left feeling like I was treated differently. I can't say with certainty what motivated the service I received, but the way I was overlooked while everyone else was served left me questioning whether discrimination played a role. Regardless of the reason, no customer should be treated this way. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes this review seriously by looking into what happened and ensuring every customer is treated with the same level of respect and professionalism!!
