I've had a few hearing exams outside of this location and believe this location to have excellent testing/programming in place that I wish was standardized at every miracle ear starting with step 1)making sure ears are clean. I can say that I believe that I was tested thoroughly and that my hearing aids have been adjusted to optimally perform. The office staff is kind. Also, witnessed a patient go through the process of being tested and given a prescription for their miracle aid foundation hearing aids. I called the beaverton office and their first question was " do you have insurance" I then reminded them mere testing is to be free, she then told me to hold , came back and said ," we can do it for $79!! i still kept my appointment, but then got food poisoning and scheduled another appointment, they had an opening, they said, when i called back, , to inquire again about the cost " SURPRISE' the audiologist jim (james) said he is just too busy for new clients, cannot see me. I called his boss" surprise again" jim is now retiring, i must have made at least 13 calls to anyone who would listen to my story, and they kept sending me to the 800 number and would not let me get past that ,( jims office filled them in making sure they do not deal with me) Thank goodness i recorded his rant interrogating me about why i want a hearing test, why i think i need one it went on and on. i looked online and guess what there is still a opening to be seen at the beaverton office , hmm maybe he changed his mind on retirement? i will follow up with corporate again , until i get a answer, Please, if corporate reads this contact me, have never know anyone so rude and cheap. and unbelievably unprofessional . I've been coming to this location for 9 years, Jim and his staff are always so friendly and professional . I'm always impressed by his professionalism and expertise. I love to visit with his family pets. This time I was able to get the rechargeable aids. I am so happy with my purchase. We even had a little fun programming them, it was a first time for both I think . My life changed the day I came to this Miracle Ear in Beaverton. I have always been an extrovert. I love people and love to meet people and hear their stories. However, about the age of 55 my hearing started to decline. I started to stay home more, and avoid people. I couldn't hear and was afraid of responding inappropriately. Whenever I went to my fellowship meetings I would not participate. I would leave the meeting in tears, depressed and feeling that no one cared. Then I wheeled into Miracle Ear and met Jim Navarro. I had my yearly physical and my doc noticed I was having a difficult time hearing him..plus my family kept requesting that I turn my T.V, down. I was holding my hand behind my right ear to hear and had difficulty in noisy restaurants, hewing the person seated next to me! It appeared that 35 years as a tech at Ma Bell had killed my hearing. I'm not usually an impulse buyer, except for shoes that is, so I wasn't prepared to purchase hearing aids right now..it did make me feel OLD, remembering the huge pink plastic things my dad didn't wear, but kept next to him as he listened to TV at it's loudest. Now, I was there, afraid I'd do the same thing..buy aids and not use them because they are so very ugly! Well, welcome to the technical era, folks. Digital hearing aids and tiny tiny things-smaller by half than your pricy ear buds and they offer much more ! Bluetooth enabled? You got it! Answer your phone thru your hearing aid. I could grow to like this. Jason (I thought he said Jerry and he didn't correct me) was the much touted factory rep, but I didn't know. Because of the work I hd done, I was fairly informed about the frequencies at which people hear sound, so Jared-or was it Jason?-could talk tech to me and he liked it. I thought my largest hearing loss was in my right ear but mentioned that when I had speakers put into a new car, I had them place a low freq-like 400-600 Hz-speaker in the doors so I could hear the bass notes in Pink Floyd's The Wall, or The Lunatic, when the "you think I am mad?" murmuring begins the track..something I hadn't heard since I had it on vinyl! Yep, getting old after going to 60 Grateful Dead concerts can kill your hearing, folks! The test results were educational, but even more so was when Jeff-or was it Jared? or Jason?- programmed a pair of trial digital hearing aids, the size of my pinky fingertip, to boost the specific frequencies I was not hearing! What an amazing difference! I could actually hear my daughter whisper to me"I bet these are expensive!" "No problem, I said..I'm just here to see whats available not to buy" Thats what I thought at least. I never felt 'sold to'. The highest rated aid which has 48 different Freq adjustments possible, with a handy dandy laptop, which I can do minimal adjustments to on my iPhone with a free app, for peats sake and can you believe, and which I can sync via BlueTooth to my iPad for nighttime Audible book reading me to sleep sold themselves to me. I got about a $2K discount, with money off the top, a free charger and other little bonuses. They come with a lifetime guarantee and the store manager, Jim-whats with all the J mens names here? said he expected to see me every couple of weeks at first to tweak the programming as I became accustomed to them. ONE WEEK LATER: Since I'd already made appointments at Costco and Able Hearing to check out hearing aids there, I went ahead and kept those appointments, even though I had purchased hearing aids at Miracle-Ear. I had a similar but frankly more comprehensive hearing exam at Able and Karl, the audiologist, wouldn't prescribe hearing aids before I visited an ENT. This is something Karl said he was required to do as my hearing loss wasn't totally typical of a noise induced loss-it's possible it can be corrected by surgery if I want to do that. I returned my $8000.00 hearing aids to Miracle-Ear with a $500.00 return penalty BTW. My suggestion-their product is great but do comparison shop before you commit and visit an ENT even before you go see about a hearing aid! I'm paying for my impulse buy-I don't regret the purchase and I miss the hearing aids a lot but I will see an ENT the first of July and hopefully some other less expensive option will be available! read more

I had horrible experience with Miracle-Ear at Beaverton site. Jim Navarra was very unprofessional and showed racism behavior. I would not recommend anybody to visit there, I took my father there to have free exam first . And our intention was not only have free exam , if he likes it we were willing to pay for even costly device. But Jim showed very unprofessional behavior and he wanted my words before the exam that we will buy device if we like it . How can I say that before exam ? secondly, I took my half day off for catching 4:30 appointment . But at 5 pm Jim said , this is their closing hours, he cannot do exam . Then why they took my appointment for 4:30 pm? He was giving me so many nonsense excuses. Overall, during conversation he humiliated me in many ways , like why my father is still wearing such a cheap hearing device, why people from our country are not willing to pay for expensive hearing aid device etc etc . I am so much annoyed on their service . I have wasted my time going there. read more

Jim was so helpful in getting the right hearing aid for me. The hearing test was extensive and took a while. I had no idea of the amount of hearing loss I had. I had worn a hearing aid purchased elsewhere and still wondered why people were whispering. Jim showed me what my options were, but didn't pressure me to buy the most expensive one. I chose one where I could select options in a noisy place like a restaurant and could hear my phone through my hearing aids. I have had my hearing aids for two years and continue to go in regularly for checkups at no cost. I'm very happy with my association with Jim at Miracle Ear. I recently came in with my mother for a free evaluation. Sitting in the waiting room I was very disturbed as the gentleman who provided my mother the evaluation was speaking in a very unprofessional manner to the front desk attendant. This went on for quite a bit of time and I was very uncomfortable for the employee who was clearly disturbed by the tone and language of his superior. After the evaluation we quickly left the office and will not go back. read more
