Do not go here. At all costs…read more They served my wife with a subpoena at her place of business for an amount that could not even partially recoup the court fees and collection costs for such an expense. Only barely 3 figures. We never even received a bill or late notice. They have also sent an amount to collections for me (mid 2 figures, not a joke) for something I have no record of. We can pay and are not criminals because your billing practices are hopelessly disorganized. Untrustworthy and malicious in its practices. Petty in its operations. Avoid. I would sue them myself if not for the fact that unlike them I am mature enough not to care about such petty amounts. Let's all hope the desperation is a sign of imminent failure of their business.

From my first visit I have been very pleased with most of the interactions with staff and Doctors here. Specifically, Veronica the MA in the orthopedic clinic, Dr. Hwang and his PA Michael Cunningham as well as Heidi Tyson my rehab therapist are all excellent. My experience at the surgical center was also as smooth as I could have possibly imagined. The staff, nurses, and anesthesia team were great. I never felt like I was in a scary hospital setting, and people paid attention and checked in on me often. As a fellow healthcare professional I know how to run a business and care for patients without my office feeling like a people mill. This is not like other large clinics or hospitals I have been to. It feels more personal and more like a family practice.

I went to this doctor for major wrist pain. This past year has been a painful one for me between…read morethis and car accident. The first time I saw him he wasn't friendly but wasn't rude. I kind of had to force him to shake my hand & look up at me as it feels odd when a doctor you've never met, walks in, won't look at you, no introduction, and they just immediately start talking about your case while staring at their paperwork. He referred me to physical therapy. Unfortunately, his office and the PT office, didn't communicate that well. Neither office was willing to call the other office so I was constantly the middle woman. Did you get the fax? No. Did you send the fax? Yes. Gah. I'd rather be focused on getting better. I ended up just asking for it to be faxed to another place that turned out to be closer to work and it finally worked out. When I went back for my 1 month follow up, Dr. Smith asked me why I only had a couple weeks of PT rather than a month. I diplomatically said that the other office didn't receive the paperwork for a long time. I didn't pin any blame on either office. He then really sternly said that I should have come to his office and taken the referral myself to the PT office. Considering how far his office is from my work, considering the location of the first PT office, since I work till later than most, I would have had to ask for 2+ hours of leave. And how long does it take to fax something? He went on about this for several minutes, how I should have been more responsible, it's not his offices duty to ensure faxes are received etc...Finally I said, can we please talk about the 2 weeks of treatment I *did* have? He frustratedly told me that I should have told him at the first appt that I had had an MRI. I told him that I had told his assistant after my 1st appt with him since I had forgotten to at the appt. He acted as if I was trying to hide something. Silly since I would be happy if he would look at my MRI but now he said he wasn't interested, he only looked at my regular x-day. I felt badly, like I was somehow punished and now not getting the most thorough diagnostic. He then sternly went on to say that he wasn't going to see me anymore since I was not a decent surgery candidate. His tone was belittling, like I obviously had no place there and that I was done wasting his time type of tone. He then got up and just walked out, no good bye. He was further upset that there wasn't a primary at the time to send his notes to. He kept asking why she wasn't my primary, (see my Dr Lewis review of her). He sent his notes to her despite my telling him she was no longer my doctor. Nobody cares about HIPPA rules :(

His…read moremanner quickly made me feel as though I were on trial for faking my injury and being grilled on the witness stand. He constantly used previous statements I had made about my pain and the complications as though looking for some gotcha moment. The physical exam was absolutely brutal. He put me through a series of strength tests that activated and inflamed all the affected area related to my injury and then was disappointed when I could not tell if discomfort was from when he activated one joint or the other. His strength tests were completely out of line and unsafe. I had worked diligently doing my PT twice a day for over a month, and his rough treatment of my body set me back weeks in my healing progress and left me in tears. If your claims adjuster tries to send you to this guy for an IME, do not go! Cite this review and tell them you want to see someone else - or least bring a friend or family member to bear witness and help you stop when he gets too rough. I wish I had done that.
