I resisted hearing aids for many years but Arian was patient and understanding, and showed me how much my life experience would be enhanced with better hearing. I have difficult-to-fit ear canals (narrow and twisted) so getting ear buds to fit into my ears was a challenge, but Arian was able to fit my ears perfectly. I still have difficulty inserting the aids in my ear canals but it is getting easier. I would totally urge anyone with any kind of hearing issue to visit Arian at Tarzana Hearing Center and be patient - hearing aids will take some getting used to but it will definitely be worth it! Thankfully I visited a different Audiologist in Los Angeles who convinced me that I truly needed to give this another shot, especially after the pandemic. Understanding that my hearing was becoming more and mor distorted, I agreed! Meanwhile, I signed up for AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE because eventually; I'll be completely deaf. That was my main and ONLY focus. I was referred to Connect Hearing by my new Audiologist of UCLA at 200 Medical Plaza. Since I had only recently moved to Los Angeles and am a Valley Girl, I decided upon the Encino office. Eventually, I made my appointment and went to see Dan. He was very calm and accommodating, even though I kept insisting that I didn't want the hearing aids. He measured my ears anyway and took molds as he continued to explain why they would be helpful to me, as he assured me that things have changed with new technology. I thanked him for his time and he informed me that they'd be contacting me in approximately a week or two to pick them up. Yeah whatever I thought! Finally, I got the call to go and pick them up. Dan sat me down and explained to me nice and loud enough for me to hear him how to use them. Mine were actually charging in the case as he was using some similar to mine. That in itself was totally different from the previous two pair that I had in the past. This means no more changing hearing aid batteries, nor buying them for that matter! Eventually, Dan stood up and carefully placed each device in my ear and asked if I could hear him. Immediately, I got choked up and emotional as tears rolled down my cheeks. At that moment I remembered the ONLY thing that I did like about having hearing aids. I could hear how loud I talked while wearing them and I would automatically speak lower because of them. I was ecstatic!! I heard him and heard him very nicely. Also, the fit was my very first custom fit because of the molds he used on my first visit. There's not as much feedback because they're a custom fit! Next Dan showed me how to install an App on my cell phone to control the volume, more tears!!!! Finally, he called me on my cell phone and he spoke to me right there on his office. Dan the Man, absolutely gave me my life back and I am so very happy and grateful to him and his staff!!!! I no longer have to reach for my ear buds daily and make sure that they're changed before leaving the house. My new hearing aids are better than ear buds and I can control the volume as well as the clarity on my own cell phone. I regularly use search google maps while I'm driving in order to get directions. Now my customized Ear Bugs (HEARING AIDS) from Dan the Man, does exactly what ear bugs did before but better! Dan also said that he can show me how to download the App on my regular laptop that I use daily. I haven't done that yet, however I am FOREVER grateful for him and his team!!! The care and concern for me to feel as normal as possible with my hearing disability is UNMATCHED!! Thank you ENCINO CONNECT HEARING I LOVE & APPRECIATE YOU!! I have been a patient of Dr. Armin S. Arasheben for approximately five years. When I first became…read morehis patient, I was very satisfied with his care. He was attentive, professional, followed up on my lab results, and made sure important primary-care matters were addressed. Unfortunately, my experience with the practice has gradually changed significantly. Over time, the office appears to have shifted away from the level of personal and professional medical care I initially received. Much of my care has been handled by nurse practitioners, and I have had several experiences that raised serious concerns for me regarding attention to detail and professionalism. On multiple occasions, incorrect prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy, and I was the one who noticed the errors. When I brought one of these incidents to Dr. Arasheben's attention, I did not feel that my concern was taken seriously or adequately addressed. Initially, I treated it as an isolated mistake, but over time I experienced additional issues that caused me to lose confidence in the practice. Most recently, when I asked about my overdue annual physical, I was told that it was my responsibility to keep track of when my annual examinations were due. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the level of care, I was essentially told that if I was unhappy, I could find another primary-care physician. After being a patient for five years, this was extremely disappointing. In my experience, the practice today feels much more focused on running and expanding a business than providing the attentive, disciplined primary care that I received when I first became a patient. Based on my recent experiences, particularly the repeated prescription errors and the response to my concerns, I can no longer recommend this practice as a primary-care provider.
