Do you do Eustachian tube balloon dilation?

Yes, we perform that procedure both in the office and in the operating room under anesthesia.

    Do you accept medi-cal insurance?

Our practice does accept some managed care medi-cal plans. Please call our office to see what specific plans we currently accept.

Do you perform polyp removal surgery? If so, how many have you done and what is the recovery like?

We definitely perform nasal polyp surgery. The amount/extent of the polyps will typically dictate the recovery from the procedure. If you have one big polyp, the recovery would be very quick on the order of several days. If you have numerous… Read more

I was quoted one price by the injector during my appointment around $1,500 and something but, when I checked out at the front desk, the total had increased to about $1,800. That higher amount was never quoted to me beforehand. When I asked why the price had increased, the front office staff member repeatedly said it was "because of the injections I received," without clearly breaking down the cost. When I asked for a detailed explanation, I felt the response was dismissive and a bit rude rather than informative. As a first-time client getting injections on my face, I expected patience and transparency. As for the service itself, I was surprised that the injector did not mark the injection sites beforehand, which I've since learned is common practice. After the injections, I was asked if I noticed a difference--and I honestly did not. An after photo was taken, but it appeared noticeably brighter than the before photo, which made it difficult to clearly compare results. While my skin looked brighter, I did not see any significant change. The Botox between my eyebrows seemed to last only about three weeks, and I did not notice any visible difference from the filler at all. Additionally, I was not given a clear explanation of how the injections worked, what to expect, or realistic outcomes--something I believe is especially important for first-time patients. Between the unexpected price increase, lack of clear communication, front office interaction, and results that were not noticeable, I would not return. I strongly feel that injectors and staff should take extra care to educate and guide clients who are new to cosmetic treatments.

Many surgeons I consulted with refused to take on the work because of how complex the situation was. Dr. Bresnick did the exact opposite. He took the time to listen, evaluate everything carefully, and was willing to help me. What really stood out to me is how kind, patient, and caring he is. He was honest from the beginning that this wouldn't be a simple "one procedure and done" situation. Instead, it will require multiple procedures to correct everything and get me to a place where I feel confident and happy with the results again. I truly appreciate his transparency and the fact that he's willing to work with me step by step to get the best possible outcome. It's rare to find a surgeon who is both highly skilled and genuinely compassionate. If you are looking for a doctor who will actually listen and work with you, I highly recommend Dr. Bresnick.

I went to six different doctors for consultations, with Dr. Bresnick being the last. And the moment I met him, I knew he was the one I trusted for my breast augmentation. I'm beyond happy with my results. They look natural, proportional, and beautifully done. What really stood out to me is that he truly listens. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, explained everything thoroughly, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. He may not be all over social media, but that's because he's focused on what actually matters: the care, safety, and individualized needs of each patient. The entire experience, from consultation, to surgery, to follow-ups really felt thoughtful, organized, and professional. His staff is kind, helpful, and always available to answer questions, which made recovery so much easier. If you're looking for a surgeon who is skilled, honest, and genuinely cares about delivering beautiful results, I cannot recommend Dr. Bresnick enough. Five stars, and truly deserving of every one. Couldn't recommend anyone more than Dr. Bresnick!

Immediately after the surgery, my columella deviates towards one side significantly. This is due to the fact that he did not anchor the septal extension graft directly in the midline. It was anchored to the left of my anterior nasal spine instead. I woke up the following day after surgery and notified his nurse and him of this septal extension graft deviation issue. Both of them chose to ignore. As a result, the septal extension graft blocks my smile, affects my speech and it is extremely uncomfortable. Prior to my surgery, I discussed with him a surgery technique developed by his mentor, Dr. Toriumi. This technique is the only correct method for fixing my nose. But he was not forthcoming. He only told me after the surgery that he does not know how to use this technique on his patients. He has very very bad suturing skills. He did not close my wound with proper alinement and with adequate eversion of the skin. You can see the terrible step-off the skin and the notch in the columella. After the surgery, my nose bled for 3 weeks because of poor wound closure. He put me on 2 weeks of extra antibiotics. He is rude and swears with foul language on the phone and in his office on various occasions. Months later, he looked at my post-op photos but flat out denied the issues existed. That was very scary. Such obvious issues are confirmed by other doctors. He banked unused rib above the muscles in my chest. This resulted a huge bump in my chest. He kept me wondering about why my chest was deformed for over 2 months before informing me of this. He refused to provide me with surgical photos by telling me that he never takes photos of patients' noses during surgeries. He only sent me photos of before surgery and after surgery. But obviously, all photos were automatically named with sequential numbers by his camera. It is obviously there were lots of photos in between such numbers taken during surgery which he did not want to disclose. A year later, when I requesting a partial refund, he gave me the runaround. He demanded me to fly to Los Angeles for the refund. Later he stopped answering my email. The bottom line: he learned or inherited the rude bedside manners, dishonesty, and unethical behaviors probably from his parents. This man is not mentally stable and is a jerk. When I pointed out what was obviously not right when we were looking at my post-surgical photos together in his office, he flat out denied the issues by say:" there is no problem there, you have a great nose." Another doctor who recently revised my nose took this photo of the inside of my nose. He told me that Dr. Hyman added unnecessary grafts on the sides of my septum, especially with this big one on the left side. He said with such unnecessary grafts, Dr. Hyman still failed to keep the columella in the midline, because the septal extension graft was anchored over 4 millimeters away from the center point where it should have been (where anterior nasal spine is). Beware of him.

I had severe alar retraction, saddle nose deformity, a drooping tip, nasal collapse, etc. From the first virtual consult with Dr. Hyman, I immediately felt that he both saw and validated my concerns and was able to identify the areas to be fixed, even over a video call. He had a plan to fix my issues and was realistic with my expectations for a revision result. I was looking for an extreme turnaround in revision surgery--just over 9 months--as my wedding was quickly approaching. The entire staff was extremely helpful in helping me get all of my appointments booked, especially considerate of me coming from out of state for surgery. Surgery day was a breeze and I felt supported throughout the early recovery process and beyond. Dr. Hyman was extremely responsive in my post op period, and I never felt concerned about my wellbeing due to this support! Tina and Lushes were so helpful in coordinating and supporting as well (and an absolute joy to speak to!). I'm 5 months post op now and ecstatic about my result. My swelling has gone down nicely, Dr. Hyman continues to check in on me during my post op visits, and has never once left me hanging or unheard. I truly cannot thank him enough for helping me overcome my primary results and giving my nose a new look that matches what I envisioned all along!!
