Three months ago I ruptured my eardrum. I had bad earache. It was obvious it was infected. After spending two and a half hours reading through reviews and calling roughly eight or nine doctors that could not get me in for two to six weeks, I found Dr. Admin's office. I called and spoke to one of the girls in the office. The lady I spoke to went out of her way to get me in the very next day in between appointments. I am very grateful to her. I've had three visits since. First we got rid of the infection. Once the infection was gone, Dr. Armin was able clarify how big the rupture was. My last visit we did a hearing test My hearing is get better. Lastly, they took my medicare, which is great. Had concerns about my left ear. After looking around the valley for an ENT, stumbled upon Dr Armin. Accepted new patients quickly and has two locations to visit. After the first location was cancelled, oddly enough this location booked me for a more recent appointment than West Hills. Intake was quick. I was expecting to wait longer than I did just because I'm so used to waiting at any doctors' office. Dr. Armin listened to my concerns, did a thorough exam. Everything looked good. Went ahead and booked an audiogram as an additional data point. The audiologist was nice and respectful. Results were normal. I found about Dr. Armin through a friend who had worked as an RN for over 30 years. This was one of my best experiences in medical procedures. Very knowledgeable and caring. Went for my sinuses and hearing problem. It was easier than a tooth cleaning. He was very gentle throughout the operation and constantly made sure I was comfortable. Result was great. So I wanted to write this because I see this doctor looks at his reviews, which I find really odd. I know most doctor's would not care. But I am glad he will read this. I ruptured my eardrum 6 weeks ago from an ear infection and this is now the second terrible doctor I have been to. I think actually it borders on malpractice. There is definitely a terrible change in our medical care and it seems to be normal to find a bad doctor and very difficult to find a competent one. The treatment I received from Dr. Armin is proof of that. My ear drum tear was at 20% when I went to the first doctor, when I saw Dr. Armin he told me it was between 40-50% and I would definitely be having surgery to repair it. I had a CT scan and it was discovered there is an active infection in the middle ear. First of all the report for the scan came in on a Thursday, nobody called me with the results like Dr. Armin assured me they would. After begging I got them late Friday and had to have someone in the medical field interpret them for me. I went to see Dr. Armin yesterday he completely downplayed the ear infection and when I told him since it was resistant to antibiotics in the last 6 weeks aren't you going to give me I.V antibiotics and he told me it will "work it's way out". When I told him I have felt sick for 6 weeks and I am not going to sit and wait for this to work itself out, he told me I have never heard of anyone feeling sick from an ear infection and you must have something else. He then told me well you do have a significant tear of 20% in your ear and that will need to be surgically repaired but we have to wait another 3 months to see what happens so come back in three months. (So I have an active infection that I have had for 6 weeks and I should not be seen by him for another 3 months} 20% I said, you told me it was 40-50%, he then told me he never said that. When I insisted he very clearly told me multiple times it was 40-50% he looked in the chart and tells me " oh well I guess you are right". I told him well that sounds good like it's repairing itself if it is that much smaller now don't you think and he says " Oh ok if you say so" At that moment I knew this guy shouldn't be looking in my cat's ear, let alone mine. I honestly don't even trust his opinion of the size of the tear. I asked him to forward my scan results to my primary doctor and after leaving his office I was on the phone with my doctor. Today my doctor got me in to see a different ENT and I will have my middle ear cultured to find out what type of bacteria this is. I will then be given I.V antibiotics for ten days. My doctor after reading the scan was very concerned about this existing infection after 6 weeks and two different antibiotics and will get me the treatment I need. Something Dr. Armin clearly did not think to do. Dr. Armin, you made a very difficult situation even worse and could possibly have jeopardized my hearing with your incompetence. If you have a patient in the future who has been sick for 6 weeks with a middle ear infection that has not responded to two different antibiotics TRY BEING A DOCTOR AND HELP THEM OR DON'T PRACTICE MEDICINE!!!! read more

Dr. Armin performed an adenoidectomy and placed tubes in our 3 year old's ears. We are really happy with him and his practice. They were responsive and helpful. My son is doing great after the surgery. We would definitely recommend this practice to others. read more

Dr. Armin was very kind, patient, and professional. A male staff member was also very friendly. The only issue I had here was with Silvana, one of the women who works at the front desk. I called a few days ago and left a message to make an appointment. I never heard back so I called again the following day. She told me the appointment would be at 3:30 on Wednesday. I told her that I have to be sure someone can cover me for work but that I'd call her back to confirm shortly. I was able to get covered and so I called back. Someone else answered the phone, and I told her my name and that I was calling to confirm my appointment. She thanked me. I came in the following day for my appointment and Silvana told me that she canceled it because I hadn't called back to confirm. I told her that I did and told whoever answered the phone that I was calling to confirm. She went on to say that I never gave her my insurance information, and I replied, "No one ever asked me for my insurance information," because no one had asked me for my insurance information....She was so rude and abrasive, practically yelling at me, accusing me of lying. I took out my phone to show her my call log, to prove that I did call back to confirm my appointment. She wouldn't even look at my phone. It was an awful experience and I never got an apology. If Dr. Armin weren't such a great doctor, I would not come back here due to the treatment I received from this woman. read more

I have had difficulty breathing out of my nose my whole life and I have had 3 sinus surgeries with 3 different ENTs but they never helped that much. I was referred to Dr. Armin from a friend and he suggested that a simple office procedure would help. The procedure took 10 minutes tops and he made it relaxing and painless. It has not even been a whole week later and I'm happy to say that I have NEVER been able to breathe this well in my life! No exaggeration. Called to make an appt with Dr. Herschovitch (don't know if I spelled that right) because I had a killer earache but he was out of town. The staff offered to make an appt the following week or the following day with Dr. Armin. I took the appt for the following morning. I was taken into an exam room right on time, Dr. Armin came in within 5 minutes, spent a good 15 minutes with me and completely solved my issue. I don't know what the staff experience was for other people but mine was outstanding and Dr Armin couldn't have been better. He's a very nice man and is very thorough. Great Dr! Horrible lazy unprofessional front desk receptionist . Unfortunately I ran into issues with Grace although she seems sweet at 1st I had issues from the beginning of my intake process until after my appointment. Instead of checking if she received my intake forms and mr she just kept asking me for them eventhough I told her multiple times I sent them. She said "oh yeah we should have them then, then would call and tell me to make sure to bring the forms b4 appt lol" My 1st app day was screwed up and I ended up coming in on the wrong day as Grace verified the wrong appointment date with me. Issues on getting an order for a ct scan sent to my insurance because Grace was too busy trying to defend herself and arguing like a preteen to get her way instead of just doing her job sufficiently. Unfortunately Grace could be a great receptionist if she took the time to learn compassion, professionalism, attention to detail, organization skills, maturity and work ethic. read more

This does not have to do with the doctor but his staff - specifically someone named "Jenny" who I spoke to. I called for an appointment. A different receptionist gave me an appointment time. I repeated the date and time (11am), confirmed, and put it in my calendar. Day of my appointment, I get a call 1 hour before my appointment at (10:15am) saying that I never showed up to my 10:10am appointment. Jenny, the receptionist, was SUPER rude. I explained that I was given 11am. She said " There is no way because hes scheduled for surgery". Either Jenny has no clue what she is talking about or doesn't know what she is doing or the original receptionist messed up OR...surgery $ outweighed a regular new patient appointment $. read more

First off, his staff are incredible and were able to squeeze me in as a new patient because of an urgent situation. - I was looking for a new ENT that specifically would not shove a bunch of medication down my throat and I was referred to Dr Armin. - My PC was correct. Not only is he up to date in the latest technologies and research, he actually cares about the well-being of his patients and follows up. - Dr Armin took his time to learn my history (you would be surprised how many doctors won't even look at a chart before meeting you then start diagnosing whatever seems to stick) he spent a lot of time in the room and was able to use a scope to identify an issue; THEN, ordered a test to confirm, not the other way around. (Test after useless test) - During the follow up, he was very soothing while explaining to me what was found on the 3D image. I think I would have had an anxiety attack on the spot in any other office situation. - Go see Dr Armin if you need a GOOD ENT. read more

The woman who picked up the phone told me YES and proceeded to make my appointment. When I arrived, they told me that they didn't accept Health-Net Insurance. A painful ear had kept me awake most of the night. I called Dr Armin's office at 9 am, and found they had a 10:30 am appointment open. Dr Armin was professional, diagnosed the problem as wax buildup, and gently removed blockages from both ears without any pain. Dr Armin has a great bedside manner, carrying on a pleasant conversation as he was working. Altogether the visit lasted no more than 30 minutes. I would return again if needed. My recommendation is to park across the street as the building parking was not only filled, but most of the spaces are very small suitable only for compact cars. read more

I'm sure Dr. Armin is great, but I wouldn't know... didn't get that far since the front staff made such a terrible first impression that I quickly decided not to go to this office. As a healthcare provider myself, I understand the operations of physician offices and insurance processes- therefore it is hard to BS me. However, when I called the office, someone named JENNY did exactly that to me- she laid down a whole load of BS and when I politely corrected her, her claws came out. She was RUDE, standoffish, defensive and just plain nasty. Such a shame that the management allows her to get away with this type of behavior, especially since the front desk staff is typically the first exposure and impression patients have of the office. I have been seeing Dr. Armin now for issues I have been having with my ears feeling stuffy. Being in medical field myself I felt helpless that I could not find any reason behind it. Dr. Armin has been very patient with me and has walked me stepwise through the process. He patiently answered my never ending questions. We tried nasal sprays and allergy medications with only mild success. He recommended a CT scan and found one of my sinuses to be completed clogged up. I had a sinus procedure with him in the office and he took out a bunch of fungus from my sinus. And just like that my ear issue was resolved. Very grateful.  I strongly recommend him not only because he is knowledgeable and caring but also because he never made me feel he is rushing my appointments and he handled all our visits with professionalism read more

Dr. Armin was very caring and attentive in dealing with my chronic sinusitis. He was able to perform a procedure on me in the office, obviating the need to take me to the operating room. He listened intently, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure, which was pain-free. I visited Dr. Armin for a recurrent mouth blister issue that am suffering from. Dr. Armin took a good look and listened patiently to the full history of it. He was not sure what could be causing it but felt that the next possible step is to do a Biopsy. Once I said my ok for the biopsy, he quickly arranged for it and I could say he is an expert in doing biospy. He also cauterized a couple of sore spots and said that might help with the healing as well. He made sure I was comfortable throughout this procedure. After the results of the biopsy, he has referred me to a Oral Pathologist for further diagnosis. Though my problem has not been resolved yet, am still happy that he did his best. Thanks, Dr. Armin. Also, his office has very nice people who help you with the appointments and enquiries. There is one concern though. I made sure that Dr. Armin and his center (CV Diagnostic center) are IN NETWORK with UHC (my insurance provider). But the biopsy was fwd-ed to a Pathology lab (Path MD) that is not in UHC network . I was surprised that the pathology was actually fwded to an OUT OF NETWORK facility. I hope my insurance provider will sort this out. read more

I went in for deviated septum surgery and came out with no inflammation. My breathing has improved greatly and no pain whatsoever after a month. I highly recommend Dr. Armin! I'm writing this on behalf of my dad who had gone to his usual ENT that had caused a lot of bruising and pain in his ear that lasted for days. Dr. Armin saw him right away and was able to treat the damage done by the previous doctor. He also followed up with my dad to make sure he was recovering nicely.
