I always used hearing protection. The technology available in the hearing instruments I was fitted with is AMAZING. They stream content from my IPhone- including my phone calls! They are the best "headphones" I have ever used as the are optimized for the ranges of sound I cannot easily hear without assistance. I truly forget I am wearing them. They helped my mom when she was in town and wanted to have her hearing aids checked and they were very helpful. Back to my call, the person that answered the phones was very professional and as helpful as they could be but could not answer all my questions but put me on hold to get answers. My question was how much would a general hearing test cost (no bells no whistles), so she put me through to the person who supposedly knows the insurance. The person was polite and professional but said sorry I cant tell you, call your insurance company. I said ok, buh bye. So i went down the next place that does Diagnostics on Audio issues and they were very helpful, they answered the question with the usual caveats. Point is they asked me my insurance and quoted me an estimate. The Docs at Knecht Audiology should really look at getting your insurance people some training on how to not turn customers away, if other places can make it easy on the customer to get them in the door there is no reason your people can't be doing the same.
