After moving to the area this year, I needed to find an audiologist. I am deaf in my left ear due to a tumor I had removed in 2022. I met with Andrea at the Lafayette Hearing Center to discuss my history and check the hearing in my good ear. She was very pleasant and seemed genuinely interested in me and my condition. She was knowledgeable about the unique challenges that come with being SSD. She personally scheduled me last so she could spend enough time to cover everything. She is very dedicated to her life's work, and it shows. I have seen very skilled ENTs, audiologists and Otolaryngologist, but I can safely say that Andrea gave me the most thorough exam I have ever had. I visited for the tinnitus relief services, but Dr. Meg ended up adjusting my 6-year-old hearing aids. She performed a very extensive adjustment that took quite a while, and the result has been a life-changing event for me. The office environment is excellent and the staff is very friendly. I began seeing Dr Taulia at there "old" location for my annual hearing test, so I have been a patient for awhile. She fit me with my first hearing aid and I just upgraded to a technological savvy one. I didn't feel any pressure to make this change - she listened to my concerns and gave me my options so I could make an informed decision. I am always impressed by Dr. Taulia and her staff. They always make me feel welcome and they truly listen to any concerns I may have. For all of these reasons, I do not hesitate to continue to utilize their services after I have relocated. I went in for a hearing exam and again the exam was very thorough professional and i was given a complete explanation of the results that was easy to understand. I am going to drop the rating from 5 stars to 3 stars because of the below explanation. I am choosing not to work this business because of what came next. The person helping me noticed I used an android phone and told me that currently there were no hearing aids that would work with android and that google was not interested in that arena. I knew this was not true because I am currently wearing a demo pair of hearing aids paired with my phone (from a different audiologist). Another reason I am discontinuing to use them is the AGX business model. If you are not familiar with this let me try to explain. AGX buys hearing aids from all the major manufactures and re-brands them as AGX and they "alter" the hearing aids so that they can only be adjusted by an AGX professional. While their offices might be very prolific it is still a limiting factor. I fundamentally disagree with a business limiting a product I am buying especially when the item costs so much. read more

Appreciate everything about this place. Everyone on staff was knowledgeable, helpful, welcoming and kind. My father came in thinking there probably was nothing more that could be done to help his hearing. He already had top of the line aids. But after testing, tuning, and cleaning, not only is he hearing better, but he's regained having phone conversations with family and friends that he'd lost out on for lack of hearing. And, because he plays a bass brass instrument his hearing aids could be adjusted to hear those lower tones so he could better play in tune. LHC did the paperwork required to have a free caption phone installed at his home, as well. My dad is 90 and is hearing impaired. I googled hearing centers and Lafayette Hearing Center came up with 28 Google Reviews, 27 with a 5 rating and 1 with a 4 rating. Outstanding! I immediately called them to make an appt but they were booked through the following week, and I was only in town for 2 more days before returning to my home in Virginia and I really wanted to accompany my dad on this important situation. Shana answered and politely said we're totally booked the rest of this week but let me look into it and I'll call you back either way. I was blown away that she would even offer to look at possibilities for me! The next day, Thursday, Shana called to say that they close at 4:30 on Friday but come in at 5:00 and we will see your dad after hours! Not only was it after hours on a Friday night, but it was also Memorial Day weekend! Andrea Gray, Audiologist, spent 2 hours with us, until 7:00pm that Friday evening, and did an absolutely exceptional job for us! Talk about going beyond the call of duty! This is unparalleld customer service, and Andrea is on top of her game, with 20 years of audiology experience and a Bachelors and Masters in Audiology from PU! Don't even think of going to anyone else for your hearing issues! This business is exceptional in every respect. read more

I had a wonderful experiment with Andrea. She did a hearing test on me. The first appointment took some time. I did need hearing aids. Hearing aids changes my life. People asked me about background noise, and I don't have any problems hearing what people are saying. Andrea had several meetings with me to make sure I knew all the information about my new hearing aids. I'm so excited to be able to hear, when going out for lunch with my friends.
