HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!…read more SUPPORT LOCAL!! If you're looking for an exceptional, reliable service, hire Cody (Chimney Sweep). His work ethic and attention to detail are nothing short of extraordinary. He constantly goes above and beyond the job he was hired for. A few months ago, I noticed one of my gutter covers on the ground, so Cody took it upon himself to check my entire gutter system and make sure every single cover was securely screwed down--something that wasn't even on his schedule for the day. To top it off, he encountered a active wasp nest while working on the roof. Despite almost getting stung--and being severely allergic--nearly lost his balance on the roof, he stayed calm and sprayed the swarm to make sure the area was safe. He certainly didn't have to take care of a wasp nest, but that's just the kind of dedicated business owner he is. Cody is extraordinarily communicative, thoroughly professional, and truly cares about his customers. I cannot recommend him and his company highly enough!

The team leader came in with confidence, with an initial team of two other cleanup personnel, put our fears to rest, had a team of eight workers in here within another hour Within two more hours they had torn out all of the affected carpet, dealt with the worst of the initial water damage, and left the place in good condition for the next step. They accommodated our schedule since we needed to be gone parts of the next couple days, and came back tearing out paneling and affected cabinetry, and then finally sanitizing everything before leaving it for the restoration contractor. This occurred over a period of five days in our case They communicated well with us along the way, explained what the paperwork meant, worked hard and cheerfully and respectfully engaged with us along the way, and put our fears to rest I would recommend the Dale city team to anyone who is looking for a confident, respectful, take-charge-and-get-it-done cleanup team, even dealing with a really messy site. They have dealt with much worse than ours apparently so they were not daunted by the mess they came into

UPDATE: I encourage everyone to file a complaint with DCRA…read more It's simple enough to complete online. Original Review: I would never use this company for any services ever. I paid for them to replace a flat roof and repair damages caused by the water infiltration including patching where water may enter in the future and patching/replacing sheetrock and painting that was done. I also paid for them to notch, punch, and hang doors. Jenny (owner's wife) submitted a quote after Tim (owner), outlined the work and the materials in August, I paid a deposit and work began in September. The issues immediately started. Tim walks the site for the quote but is rarely if ever found on site to review materials or quality of work. They quoted me for materials that I paid for, and used INFERIOR materials. After I confronted Tim, he lied about the materials, I had to remind him that my boyfriend in fact was an architect and knew that the material in the pictures (I asked for status pictures at EOD) where not what was quoted. He never rectified this issue. My boyfriend and I had to walk the roof and have the workers fix quite a few issues that were scoped out and discussed as a part of the work including a CLEARLY distressed chimney that would have allowed for water penetration upon ANY rain. The roofers had to come back 3 times for the issues to be resolved. Tim? Once. The work inside of the house? Still not done. There are gashes in doors, My ceiling? covered in gray primer for THREE months and counting. Door frames? Split, cracked, and not fixed. I have called. I have attempted to reschedule. I have sent emails. Texted pictures and STILL have not heard back from them. Tim's preferred way of working is to have you the customer GC and quality check the work - because he is not able to or willing to do so. In fact, he attempted to blame me for not correcting the work in real time, as if I am the foreman. You're better off getting a bunch of "handy men" and throwing them in a room to do the work because that is effectively what Tim does. They will promise you the moon, and at the end of it you will have wished you never even asked them for the quote.

So I slept on my couch that night and didn't actually put back my sheets until the following night. So yeah I didn't "sleep" on the mattress until well after 24-hours just because it was soaking wet when y'all left the first time. And I would also say that when I contacted you that I informed you about possible urine smells and stains either on my carpet or my mattress from my dog. It wasn't until you all returned that you then decided to use the UV light which you should have done the first time y'all came out to pin point the areas. So besides the stairs and the mattress you had to redo my room still smells and stains still remain on my carpet. And you also commented that my carpet is old as if I asked and didn't know that myself. So yeah you came back and "cleaned" the mattress but besides that nothing else was done correctly.

I'm really happy I made the decision to go with Modern Remodeling, who was recommended to me by a close friend. Specifically, I have been dealing with Jonathan Ballard who has been extremely helpful, honest, open, and communicative throughout the entire process. My home was hit with hail which resulted in the siding and roofing needing to be replaced. Jonathan came out, inspected the area, helped me understand what was entailed with the work, and also helped out with framing out my carport to convert it into a garage. Not only was Jonathan knowledgeable, but he was honest about what would be best for our home. Originally, I wanted to go with Hardie Board to obtain a specific look. While it was possible, Jonathan really felt that the work required to do it properly would be more than what I should spend on the total project. He convinced me to go with vinyl siding, which would be less maintenance and still keep the look I was going for. His crews for the roofing, siding, framing, and finishing were all extremely professional, prompt, and answered all my questions while they were working on the house. I can't say this enough, Jonathan, his crew, the folks at Modern Remodeling, Inc. are the best decisions I've made for my house. My entire neighborhood is jealous of the work that's been done and I'm happy to fully recommend them for their services. Thank you again Jonathan!
