There were two medical assistants at check-in, otherwise the waiting room was deserted. I was checked in right away and in a few minutes I was called in. After they weighed my carcass, and then took my medical history, the doctor came in. Although it was quick, the exam was thorough. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The facility is clean and well lit, and everyone appeared to enjoy being there, even with someone showing up at closing. Although there are urgent care facilities closer to me, this IU Health has been the most accommodating and professional.

WellNow is around the corner from me, so it should have been an easy decision. After checking in, I had a short wait and was guided to an exam room. I described my symptoms to the nurse and was told to wait. A few minutes later the nurse practioner, Rebecca, comes in and very brusquely tells me that I have a virus and needed to see a functional medicine doctor because I have mold in my body. Really? I used to get sinus infections all the time when I lived in Texas, and still get them once or twice a year. Rebecca is younger, probably 25, and it's doubtful she spent much time as a nurse seeing patients. Rebecca them throws open the door and tells me "We're done here," stomps out and throws her pen on her desk. I replied "Thank you" and left. I then went to another urgent care where the NP was closer to my age and probably had a lot more experience seeing patients and is willing to listen to them. She said I had a sinus infection and wrote a prescription for an antibiotic. I cannot recommend WellNow with an NP with a bad attitude and unwilling to listen to how a patient feels.

If you ever have the misfortune of talking to someone named Austin may God help you. He was rude, condescending, and accusatory. Offered zero solutions to help my son and wanted to blame me for all of my son's issues (which stem in large amount from my son willfully and intentionally not taking his medications). During the phone call I did get defensive as I'm human. I didn't take well to someone being judgemental and making assumptions about me or my life when they knew nothing about me. After 15 minutes of him browbeating me and blaming me for my son's issues he randomly put me on hold because hold music suddenly came on and after a few minutes I hung up. If this is how their "therapists" treat family members then I feel bad for the patients.

He caught a number of issues that nobody else in town did on issues of sleep, pregnancy, child and partner wellness, medicine choice and dosage. Our obgyn isn't as good as he is. 2. He seems to have availability which is bizarre. I found out about him because another doc in town uses him. If the other doctors go to him for their checkups, that's a good sign. 3. He gives money to charity every month perhaps due to his Sikh faith, but he lets his patients decide which one by vote in the waiting room. 4. Did I mention he's a fantastic doctor? He sees all age groups and it is clear he treats his staff very well because they are also fantastic. He prints out a medical summary of each visit which is quite helpful too.
