I felt like I had a sinus infection, bad headache (I never get headaches), sinus pressure, stuffed up, run down, all the symptoms. WellNow is around the corner from me, so it should have been an easy decision. After checking in, I had a short wait and was guided to an exam room. I described my symptoms to the nurse and was told to wait. A few minutes later the nurse practioner, Rebecca, comes in and very brusquely tells me that I have a virus and needed to see a functional medicine doctor because I have mold in my body. Really? I used to get sinus infections all the time when I lived in Texas, and still get them once or twice a year. Rebecca is younger, probably 25, and it's doubtful she spent much time as a nurse seeing patients. Rebecca them throws open the door and tells me "We're done here," stomps out and throws her pen on her desk. I replied "Thank you" and left. I then went to another urgent care where the NP was closer to my age and probably had a lot more experience seeing patients and is willing to listen to them. She said I had a sinus infection and wrote a prescription for an antibiotic. I cannot recommend WellNow with an NP with a bad attitude and unwilling to listen to how a patient feels.

**Dangerous Negligence and Unacceptable Dismissal -- Avoid at All Costs**…read more I went to Riverview Urgent Care in Westfield on 4/11/2026 with an extremely sore, swollen throat. I specifically explained to the staff that I was having severe difficulty swallowing both food and water, and I mentioned my history of getting canker sores. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) who came in barely gave my mouth a brief look. They ran absolutely zero diagnostic tests--no strep swab, no influenza test. Instead, they quickly dismissed me with a prescription for a viral medication. When I pushed back and reiterated my inability to swallow even water, the NP looked at me and said, **"You can go three days without water."** Completely unacceptable and dangerous advice. By 3:30 AM the next morning (4/12/2026), my symptoms escalated into extreme swallowing and breathing issues. Knowing I would likely just be gaslit again if I returned to Riverview, I rushed to the IU North Emergency Room in Carmel. The difference in care was night and day. The ER doctor immediately examined my throat, suspected a bacterial peritonsillar abscess, and quickly confirmed it with actual diagnostic testing. I was admitted on the spot, put on an IV with heavy-duty antibiotics, steroids to reduce the extreme swelling, and morphine to manage the excruciating pain. I had to stay overnight just so they could monitor my condition and restore my basic ability to breathe, eat, and drink. All of this excruciating pain, hospital time, and expense could have been avoided if the Urgent Care staff at Riverview had just done their due diligence and ran a simple strep test. Because they refused to do the bare minimum, I developed life-threatening abscesses in my throat. If I hadn't trusted my gut and gone to a completely different hospital where concerned medical professionals actually listened to me, I would have been in very big trouble. There is a very clear reason this urgent care has low ratings. I will never be back. Heed the warnings and take your medical needs elsewhere.

BE PREPARED they do NOT CARE!! They're ONLY after your MONEY!!…read moreI had been fighting an infection for several weeks. I saw my primary doctor, I visited my dentist and finally went to Lafayette ENT when I was told they wouldn't take Aetna or Care Source Insurance. They also told me I was required to get a hearing test for $300+ that I would obviously have to pay for out of my pocket. I thought it was odd that they'd require a hearing test under the circumstances. I visited the Urgent Care 2x and on my last visit at urgent care, Dr Riggs graciously set up an appointment with Lafayette ENT without requiring a hearing test. Yes, I called other ENT's in town but they had a similar waiting period and with the reputation of Dr Berner and Dr Loy's I could only assume their unretired piers would be of the same quality. WOW, I WAS WRONG!!! So, I waited several weeks and my day finally arrived. I was hoping that painful sleepless nights might soon come to an end AND I might be able to hear again. But, much to my surprise, after waiting 8 weeks(?), I went in with a little bit of excitement that relief was just around the corner and experienced a "who gives a damn attitude" that now requires a hearing test or callously phrased, "see another Dr"! In all fairness, my experience was with "Dr". Wilson. What happened to a dr's oath!?!? "I shall do by my patients as I would be done by........" What kind of a human being would set up an appointment under false pretenses then try to bilk more money out of a patient when they arrive(8 weeks later in pain)before they would even consider treating them. I'm only presuming the kind of person that would break their own arm patting themselves on the back while complaining to their yacht captain about the quality of their caviar. I learned my lesson! I'll NEVER RETURN and my next call is to the state medical board. B. Parks

I have lung cancer and went in with a cough, lung pain, stomach pain and memory loss. I want to…read moreemphasize memory loss and inability to remember things, names of people and recent events. I could better explain this with a 2 page narrative but to save you the long read, I'll try to trim it up, a lot. I was having a rough time with pain in my left lung but unable to word it for whatever reason, but did say I have terminal lung cancer and was just back from a 25 day trip that included a cruise of 17 days and Japan etc. Again, made it clear I have lung cancer and I was actively coughing. CT of abdomen and brain were ordered. I did ask for lung CT and Dr said no to save me from getting the extra radiation to just get it done when I see Oncologist. I know their Oath is to do No Further Harm is part of performing their job. So those that know, know when you have terminal lung cancer we get a lot of radiation and its a necessary evil. He decided to die on the hill of not giving me more radiation and wouldn't do lung CT, although told him i have lung cancer and just had pneumonia and treatment a few weeks earIier but was hurting and coughing. Also had not had BM in 2 weeks and abdomen hurt with history of obstructions and acute memory issues so not sure what I may be leaving out. But, I did ask for and want the lung CT. He denied as I said for the template type response of not radiating me and I can get it done later. Just realize he caused me further harm because now I will have to get out AGAIN to get lung CT to see if progressing or pneumonia back or worse. It was kind of creepy to be honest as some type of power play over not wanting to radiate me. Ok, he won, of course and now I still have to get that done so my Oncologist can properly treat whatever is brewing in there. We could have started a more accurate treatment plan right from this ER had he just allowed the lung CT. His only reason was extra radiation I would have to get again anyway, which just isnt factual. Had he completed this lung CT we would have had the jump start, not a blind antibiotic start and making me have to go back out to get a lung CT scan. Causing undue hardship on me the patient and antibiotic resistance concerns over his concern of excess radiation I needed anyway. You can't make this up. Some Dr's truly have issues with doing what they say even when it isnt in the patients best interest as far as adding more visits to the patient that didnt need to be added. Im sure he sticks with his template answer of not needing it, but yes, I do and will and my Dr said do NOT take the antibiotic this Dr ordered blindly for a probable pneumonia continuation and we all know why. While I was there and stayed in pain as no pain meds were offered because I was confused and told them I thought I took 2 recently, my husband let them know I was definitely confused because I didnt take any pain meds and was in pain. I can understand not giving me anything for that, I guess, but I left in more pain than I started because it wasnt addressed further nor given. The GI was severe constipation and a plan is in place which isn't a big deal except causing pain there and nausea. I wouldn't go back to this ER if they feel the need to be right instead of listening to their patient. I am glad the CT of brain was not showing a spread to brain, but again, my Dr stated with my symptoms we need the MRI as the CT wouldn't show. All I knew after all was said and done is I still had abdominal pain, lung pain, coughing, memory issues, which pain wasnt treated and lung CT was refused by MD and the antibiotic he ordered was a waste as my Dr stated not to take it. I don't imagine I'd ever need to use their services again and would use another place instead. They were nice, but somewhat arrogant, fairly fast, and extremely dismissive. They have a treat and street mentality going in rather than treat to get better. Do least amount of tests needed rather than best testing for situation. Id rate 6.5/10 not bad just odd behavior to make me need more CT scans because he refused.

He didn't follow procedure and worked with patients who never give him problems especially. But when he gives bad service he will get bad reviews and he also need to learn the difference between Emergency care and Urgent care. I had a mild case of food poisoning and he completely ignored that part telling me I need to go to the ER. I finally got better after 3 or 4 days on my own. Maybe I should have told him I had diarrhea instead of a mild case of food poison from slightly tainted food. I've had food poisoning before where I was vomiting and required emergency care, but in this case I think not then he would have treated me. So yes, it's time for Dr. Rathod to go as a doctor and have another doctor who speaks good English, knows how to treat his patients and know the difference between mild and severe, replace him.
