The lovely lady who works there gave me three prescriptions for my flu, (anti-cough, lidocain for throat pain keeping me up at night, and some ear drops) the copay was low, and I got a strep test. I'm holding off on getting a regular primary care physician until my insurance changes to Kaiser in May, so this was perfect for fulfilling my basic medical needs. I wouldn't say it was super high quality medical care, but it's two blocks away from my house and I don't have a car, and I do have the flu so it was pretty much ideal given that all I wanted was to be home in bed. Another benefit of the minute clinic is that it's just walk in walk out, and you don't spend time in a waiting room with a lot of other sick people.

We were told that the result is positive and were asked to take additional tests. When we asked her to explain the test result, she asked us to find it from Google. The physician was rude, biased, stereotyped and made racial comments towards my race. Anyways, we immediately took an emergency appointment at our local hospital, and it was confirmed by a professional doctor that the result is negative. I will never ever go to Minute Clinic. this was the first time and it is the last time.

Kaiser even told me that if I want to go to a different pharmacy, I do not even have to get a hard copy - just go to your preferred pharmacy and have it transferred. Also, be aware that the OCT things in their pharmacy tend to be overpriced - from our experience, Costco is much cheaper (eg: try pricing loratadine, aka Claritin). It won't matter to us though, because after over 30 years with Kaiser, we'll change plans later this year.

They had art painting classes to reduce stress for the elders and it's was beautiful to see how they infect with our Latinx Community so well. The care is always good. So I went there on Tuesday, Rae greeted me and did what she had to do for Tb procedure. She also reminded me to check with my insurance if they also covers for cvs minute clinic treatment, which they do cover. Two days later, Grace greeted me for TB read, and she helped me going through all the docs needed for claiming the insurance. Basically, before you were seeing by the NP (Nurse Practitioner), you have to sign in from the touch screen computer located outside. You can also fasten the procedure by having this online at home. Then you will get a number. Waiting area is not that big, only have 4 chairs. They don't have buzzers to call you while you wait, so just wait in the waiting room, don't roam around in cvs otherwise you're gonna miss your spot. This minute clinic is great for people who don't have insurance, or just to get quick immunizations or flu shots. So glad to have this in my area. Thanks Rae and Grace!

During my wait, I witnessed patients with serious injuries waiting in the waiting room, including people who were visibly bleeding. It was extremely concerning and upsetting to see patients in that condition waiting for such a long period of time without being treated. If the cameras are functioning, they should be able to show exactly how long patients have been sitting in the waiting room without being seen or receiving treatment. Six hours is an unacceptable amount of time to wait in an emergency room without even being evaluated. What is even more frustrating is the lack of communication and urgency from the staff. People have jobs, families, and responsibilities, and being forced to wait for hours can result in people missing work or being late to work. I genuinely believe the hospital should take responsibility for the impact this kind of excessive wait time has on patients. My experience with Kaiser in Santa Teresa has been completely different. Their patients are seen much faster, and the process of getting evaluated and treated is much more efficient. This experience has been extremely disappointing. Patients come to an emergency room because they need medical attention not because they want to spend six hours sitting in a waiting room wondering when someone will finally see them. I hope management reviews what happened that night, including the wait times, staffing, patient flow, and how long patients were left without evaluation.
