Pros about Carbon Health: they answered the phone right away, I was there during a slow period on a weekend and was seen in under 5 min, I was able to pay with my HSA card, the facility is clean, the employees were nice, they asked a lot of questions and took a lot of notes, and in their app "Carby Health" they sent me plans we'd discussed. They also gave me a note to take to work when I feel better. Edit: I asked to get routine testing for something else and they said that for insurance purposes, they can only help with one thing per day, but that I'm welcome to come back the following day to address that issue. This isn't a poor reflection on the clinic but more an FYI and to point out how broken the "health" "care" system is here.

At the front desk, I asked whether they do X-rays at this location and was told no, and that I would need to go to another location instead. The employee was unfriendly and offered no real explanation or apology for the conflicting information. I wasted time, a difficult trip on crutches, and about $30 in transportation costs because Carbon Health's own website led me to believe this service was available here. Carbon Health needs to either correct the listing or make it much clearer what is actually available at this location.

At first, I was a little concerned about going with a new doctor because I had lots of issues being almost 70 years old. On my first appointment, the office staff was very kind to me and they really made me feel comfortable. Dr. Louis was very professional and fully explained everything. We went through my medical history. The more I talked with her, the more I felt that going with Gateway was an excellent decision. After several visits, everything was coming full circle. She made sure my medications were refilled, all necessary blood tests were done and Dr. Louis even had me take other tests to make sure I was healthy. Gateway Medical is a very busy facility but I have always been able to get an appointment. If I need to get a test, I'm given an in-network referral list and a summary of the visit. I truly appreciate her and the staff for all they do!

I opted to wait, which was great because I think the nurse could see how sick I was, so she took me back to get me started and texted the doctor. Doctor Tabrizi was there shortly after and was able to see me immediately. We had a quick evaluation and she got me a prescription sent in right away. She was nice, helpful, and easy to talk to. I'd absolutely plan to come back here next time I'm sick and in need of treatment.

This review is in regards to Dr Nabar & the head of her department only. Everyone else I have…read moreinteracted with there has been professional and usually kind and patient. During my first ever appointment with Nabar, she admitted to not having looked at my chart. I disclosed that I had been on disability, but wasn't any longer and my condition was well managed. That was all she could focus on for the rest of the appointment. She told me that in no uncertain terms she would NOT write me a letter for disability for my condition. No matter how many times I reiterated that that was not the reason I was there, nor did I see that being something I needed in the near future, she would not let it go. She then asked about the symptoms I live with and then asked if I had "psychiatric issues". When I relayed that I do live with mental health challenges, that are well managed by my mental health care team, she then proceeded to tell me that my symptoms, including my o2 levels dipping to 92, and transient fevers, were due to my "psychiatric issues". Please tell me when fevers became part of the diagnostic profile for major depressive disorder? The then did a wholly inadequate skin check, she didn't ask me to remove my socks or look at my scalp. This is concerning and downright dangerous considering that I am a pale redhead with a history of severe sunburns and pre-cancerous lesions. She finished up the visit by telling me that I had emotional trauma and that is what was causing my health issues. She said that she could "order the most expensive imaging" for my lungs and they would "come back perfect" because my body is healthy and it is the emotional trauma that is causing the issues. Did she give me any resources to heal all this emotional trauma that is apparently causing my physical disability? Nope. Not a single resource or referral. She didn't order a mammogram that she said she would. This was in February, when masks are required in medical facilities, she was not masked. I filed a complaint with Kaiser and their response was laughable. The response letter just restated my complaints, offered no solutions or actionable items. "As part of our review, I formally documented and forwarded your concerns to the Adult and Family Medicine Chief. The Chief would like to apologize for any inconvenience. We always strive to provide a positive service experience and apologize that we let you down. It was shared by the Chief that during your visit your primary care provider documented medical and psychiatric history and a skin check was done. You were advised to follow up with your specialist outside of Kaiser Permanente for disability related paperwork. It is also advised that you schedule a follow-up appointment with your primary care provider for a skin check. " INCONVINIENCE? Let me down? It was much more than an inconvenience, it was negligent and dangerous. And I'm supposed to follow up with my primary for a skin check? You mean the primary that just did an incomplete skin check? That one??? Based on this response from "The Chief" relayed via the grievance department, I can no longer trust the quality of care I would receive in the Adult and Family Medicine department at Kaiser Campbell. It is dismissive and reckless. It is lucky for all involved that my mental health is well managed at the moment, because the interaction with Dr Nabar alone, not to mention the lack of accountability or any meaningful response from the department, could have lead to severe issues had I not had the care and support of my mental health professionals. AVOID KAISER CAMPBELL ADULT & FAMILY MEDICINE if you can. If you can't, avoid Manasi Nabar at all costs. Unless you like being shamed, belittled, and dismissed. I don't know, maybe that's your thing? In that case, Nabar is the doctor for you.

The nurse tried to tell me I had allergies even after I told her I've never had allergies several times and had sinusitis previously. After all of this she still said "yeah allergies are tough" in a condescending manner before leaving. Thankfully the doctor listened to me and gave me proper treatment, including antibiotics and a referral to an ENT. I don't understand why people like the nurse go into healthcare, they don't listen to their patients and think they know better meanwhile I had (and still have) chronic sinusitis so bad that I have now been through 4 rounds of antibiotics and might need surgery. I'm glad she's not a doctor because I would feel sorry for her patients. I would give the doctor 5 stars as he was knowledgeable and helped me on the path to recovery. Our pediatrician is with Stanford and I called the Stanford Advice Nurse over the phone - they suggested that we go to an urgent care where a provider can see her. They recommended a Sutter Health Pediatric Urgent Care. (I was confused as to why Stanford would suggest Sutter) We then visited for a 12:45 PM appointment today. MA took some vitals and we waited inside the room for about 30 minutes. When the Dr. came in, he didn't introduce himself. He didn't even use his stethoscope - he just said she looks fine. He showed her back and that there's no signs of asphyxiation. He did not give me any confidence of next steps and exam was over. Upon exit, I had to ask the front desk for an after visit summary. He went inside to talk to the Dr - and Dr came out confused as to why I'm asking for more details and that he already explained my daughter is fine. I was frustrated, I want paper trail, I want explanation of what transpired, I needed confidence that I can move on with next steps. Over the next few hours, my daughter who's less than 2 years old vomited at least 3 more times. We decided to go Stanford ER - something I should have started with instead of wasting my time with Sutter Health. Stanford vs Sutter Health is a night and day difference in service - choose wisely. The Stanford ER is taking the correct medical precautions and we are investigating further. If this turns out to be something serious - trust me Sutter Health, I will take legal action. Cat was so genuine and kind; it made me feel lighter and supported amidst the bodily pain I was experiencing. Really bad experience. Unnecessary tests, sending tests to out of network labs, landed up having to…read morego to another Urgent Care for further diagnosis. Details: went it for sinus infection that was still lingering after a course of antibiotics. Right after walking in they did a Covid and Flu test. I told them I took two test already, one the day before and another that very same day. $100 bucks gone (on top of the urgent care visit cost). And the provider didn't even take my sample properly. Barely touch my nose. Then they took a throat swab for a sinus infection. I would have thought a nasal swab for bacterial culture would be more appropriate. Same thing - barely touch my throat and sent to an out of network lab. $550 gone. Then a follow up call to go over the results that lasted 5 mins. $100 bucks gone. In the call the provider literally says either you don't have any infection OR the previous provider didn't take the sample properly. Like that is literally your job!! 2 days later, I went to another urgent care that prescribed me another course of antibiotics that actually cured the infection. Spent $1000 bucks for literally nothing!

I've come here before so I'm familiar with the process. I came in a bit before 9am and it wasn't busy. I waited about 15mins before being called in. The nurses, PA-C, and front staff were all very nice. Michelle Chau (PA-C) , who completed my examination, was very thorough throughout the process. I didn't feel rushed even considering more people came in after me. She offered me routine test such as Covid, flu and strep to ensure I was given the proper care. Lucky all came back negative. When I was leaving staff member helped guide me to the exit which helps when you're not feeling well, with all the hallways it can feel like a maze. Everyone said goodbye and said they hoped I felt better as I left too. My prescription was quickly sent over to my pharmacy of choice and I was able to pickup on the way home. Very happy with my experience today and I'm looking forward to feeling better.
