There was this one time I called last minute for a physical exam for my CNA program. The lady helped squeezed me in for an appointment right before my turn in date. My most recent visit was another physical into my LVN program and they were booked until the next month. I told them I needed the physical sooner and the guy was so helpful he told me of a cancellation and asked if I wanted it, which I did! The waits can take from 10-15 minutes which isn't too bad considering how packed and busy they are most of the time. The staff are all very nice and friendly. The nurses took their time when they saw me and never rushed my visits. They paid attention to my concerns and explained certain conditions and medications to me. The male LVN that helped drew my blood for my physical was very nice and talked me through the process so I knew what he was doing the whole time while educating me about drawing blood and LVN related stuff. Nurse practitioner Kelava was also very nice! I've seen her twice and she was super friendly and knowledgeable. On two occasions, I came in with some health issue and she diagnosed me and prescribed me meds which help me a lot. Very great team of healthcare professionals :)

He treated us with so much patience and kindness from the moment he walked in. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed. What I appreciated most was how calmly and clearly he explained everything to me. He provided a lot of helpful information that put my mind at ease and helped me better understand what was going on with my child. As a worried mom, that meant the world to me. It's rare to find a doctor who combines professionalism with such genuine compassion. Dr. Tetwiler truly made a stressful situation much easier for both my toddler and me. I'm incredibly grateful for the care we received and would highly recommend him.

I have called the office approximately six times and spoke with a scheduler named Catalina. During these interactions, I found her demeanor to be rude and unprofessional. Initially, she scheduled me for an appointment, then later called to reschedule it. I clearly informed her that I was unable to attend the new appointment date. Despite this, she scheduled the appointment anyway, without my consent, which resulted in a missed appointment on my record. When I called the office again to address this issue, I was informed that the next available appointment with Ms. O'Brien is not until March. This situation is extremely frustrating, as the missed appointment was not due to my actions or lack of communication, but rather a scheduling change made without my permission. I am disappointed by the lack of respect for my time and the poor communication I experienced.

A long overdue review. I will need to make it short, but would like to praise Peninsula Hospital…read morefor the very attentive care I received in 2011 for a major surgery. Fast forward to 2022 when I came down with covid - I had a horrendous experience in the emergency room - I could hear staff chatting away as though they were junior high kids at a party in another room. The ER doctor at that time told me I had "severe covid" and needed medication - a medication that had been understood would destroy a person's kidneys in a short amount of time. I refused the medication. I could mention many other concerning things about my treatment in the emergency room that night, but honestly, this review would end up being much too long. The good news is when I was admitted to a room on the 4th floor it was a different staff and they were great. I asked the doctor who came to see me if I had "severe" covid (as the emergency room doc said) and she said, "no, it's mild, but you are dehydrated and your electrolytes are off." Wow, how could one doctor say "It's severe and you need to have medication" (that will cause harm to my kidneys) and the other have a completely different diagnosis? The 4th floor staff took good care of me the remaining days I was there. Then in 2023, I ended up needing emergency room care again, and an xray tech walked in and said he needed a scan of my heart; I reminded him that due to my health situation (from a previous diagnosis) recommends for me to be careful about having too many xrays, and he said in a gruff tone, "Well, I need to do this anyway," and acted like he could care less. It is my understanding that all over our country, the best nurses and medical staff left their jobs because they knew the vaccines were not fully tested and they were being required to get the covid vaccine in order to keep their jobs. It seems the smart ones left and, unfortuantely, I get the impression that they've had to hire less-than-competent staff since then. I'm hope there have been some improvements to staff and training since 2022 and 2023.

Despite this: * Substandard Technique: The technician, Mark, failed to examine both arms for viable veins before attempting to prick me. * Physical Harm: Mark made 3 unsuccessful attempts. When I requested he stop after the third painful prick, he was dismissive of my concerns, stating, "I've been doing this for 24 years." This resulted in significant bruising on my left arm. They finally brought in a PICC nurse after that. * Procedure Failure: During the scan, the contrast administration was extremely painful because of contrast flow not being adjusted properly. Furthermore, the contrast did not appear in the initial images. Because of this technical failure, I was forced to return for a second MRI.

So I called the 800 and 650 numbers for HPSM and the lady was extremely helpful. She put me on hold and after a few mins assured me that someone from NEMS will call at 2pm to schedule an appointment! It's 3:46pm PST and I have not received ANY call from NEMS. No text, no call.... Nada. Zero! God help those who get assigned to NEMS. Better go to urgent care! You're not going to get any help at NEMS if you have any health concern.

The front desk receptionists were rude and unwelcoming. They spoke among themselves in another language while making facial expressions that felt disrespectful, which created an uncomfortable environment. This behavior significantly impacted my experience before I even saw the provider. I also wanted to ask whether there is a reason translators are not available for non-English-speaking patients. Clear communication is essential in a healthcare setting, and this seems like an important area that could be improved to better support patients. This is something that truly needs to be addressed, as the mood of the visit is already affected at check-in. I hope this feedback can be used to improve customer service and ensure a more respectful, inclusive experience for all patients.

I was floored she would talk to patients with other therapists & their patients the way she does as they do exercises near by.... She is not compassionate at her job with patients that are in pain having exercises forced on them like me saying aggressively"come on" loudly! Once I waited at the outside area before coming in & she rudely said " why you sitting there, you know to knock"! I had knocked but it sounded like she was on a call! She is not warm, friendly or kind towards her patients! I called to make a formal complaint on her & asked them to call me so in detail I could say how this miserable, bitter this woman is to patients but no one ever called me like her direct Supervisor. One call I did receive or email stated "thank you for reaching us" etc nothing else no one followed up. I do not know how this Physical Therapist has been doing what she does for many, many years of how she even bragged about herself! What a joke, I feel sorry for all the patients she treats like myself & I'm sure no one knows about it since her immediate Supervisor never contacted me! By the way, only reason I went back to her is because I was a Workers Compensation patient & I really did need to complete my visits with her & by the time I changed to a new Physical Therapist it was probably too late to book full appointments that were later in months! Do not go to this woman "Kathy" as she treats her patients like crap!!! BEWARE!!!!!
