I say this to say, I needed a particular vaccination and had a very hard time receiving it. My primary care did carry it, and did not provide outside help to me at all. I went to Walgreens and my insurance denied the vaccination because it was from a pharmacy(at this point I'm furious) I proceeded to call the insurance and asked for an override(DENIED) Lastly I got on Dr. Google, and WALAH like magic I found City Life!!!! The staff was polite, the place was very clean, the wait was minimal, and the process was smooth. The dr. even informed me of an ear infection that I thought I may has. In addition to three tests (Flu, Covid, and Strep), which all came out negative, she checked my lungs, my lymph nodes, etc. etc. She took the time to explain (and print out) what things I had been doing that I should continue, what I should change (and why). She also wrote out a scrip for an anti-biotic, for me to use just in case the new treatments do not have any effect after two more days. She even sent a scrip to my regular pharmacy for some things that are available over the counter, in case that would help me to get them with prescription coverage. So, overall: a great experience while I was feeling pretty crummy. She was professional and empathic. Much more than at urgent care locations, such as Carbon Health. My new go to plan will be to avoid "urgent care" places and go to CVS minute clinics instead.

Not your average experience at a walk in (at least in my experience). I was given great care this evening. I will definitely recommend & be back!

If you have HMO insurance please communicate with your insurance provider prior to each visit because the system tends to somehow 'change your PCP'. If you stop in for a referral for a specialist, be sure they do not provide you with an expired referral number. Also be sure they don't overcharge you if you have a copay. Know how much your copay is going in. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER before stepping foot in here because again, they will schedule your appointment and wait until you arrive to tell you information is missing and you can't be seen. We had a scare with our baby over the weekend and decided to have him checked out just to be safe…read more I knew in my gut he was okay, but I wanted a PA or an NP to tell me that for sure. I called ahead to ask a few questions, like simple questions about what kind of determination the physician could make about possibly needing further tests if necessary, and if those tests could be done on the spot. Even though they were simple questions, I realize that for liability, sometimes you are required to ask the medical staffers directly, so I told the woman who answered I needed to be passed to them. She insisted she was a "medical assistant" and could answer. Precious minutes wasted to find out she could not answer me. I was passed to a nurse, who then cannot answer me. I know the nurse did understand my question, but she wanted to make sure with the PA. I was then passed to the PA, who finally answered my question. While I appreciate them being conscientious, there has to be better organization here. When we got there, reception took 20 minutes to check us in. We were the only people in the waiting room for 15 of those 20 minutes. The woman at reception had to ask for our name three times, first and last, three times each! She was by herself working the desk, but we live a couple miles away so this is our go-to urgent care, meaning we are definitely on file, and our insurance only slightly changed. It felt really obnoxious that we took a BABY in for URGENT care, and they made us wait TWENTY MINUTES to be seen WHEN NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE. There was another woman who came in, and sat in the waiting room with us for our last 5 minutes there. She was pretty annoyed at the wait too, asked us how long we'd been there, rolled her eyes, and recommended we take our son to a new pediatric urgent care in the KoP Town Center. Next time we will because NO ONE seemed to be the slightest bit phased here about making a baby wait 20 minutes. I am allowing them 3 stars still because we've had a few experiences here, and they were kind and helpful to me on my last visit while pregnant, plus other visits. But when it comes to my child, I don't have a lot of patience with lack of urgency at the urgent care facility. Hope it gets better. Note, our discharge instructions showed that they are now called Tower Health Urgent Care, though signage has not yet changed.

Place is always clean. Doctors are always friendly too. I'm so glad this place is right around the corner. Would absolutely recommend, the staff is wonderful (esp the front desk girl; I've seen you handle a karen once and you were so graceful, bless your soul)
